I have been going to this practice at 56 TJ Drive for over 20 years. When Dr Jones left and Dr Idrees came on, I was hesitant but I have found her to be very helpful. She spends time on the issues I’m dealing with (I have some chronic concerns that are being investigated) and has been very helpful. Her PA, Deborah, has always been good to work with and she also gives good time and energy in visits. It does take a bit to get results back at times- yes at times I encounter someone who is brisk on the phone. But all in all, even though they are not perfect, I don’t expect them to be. I get appointments fast and I love their walk in options. I just want to be cared for and they have always done that well.

I have been going to Dr Fisher for about 5 years and have been extremely happy. He actually looks at me when I'm talking instead of writing notes in a computer and is very thorough. He spends quality time with you. He is not easy to get in with so I make sure I plan in advance and if I am sick I'm happy to see one of the PAs or other docs. I can tell he thoroughly enjoys his job and is good at it. After reading a lot of the reviews on here I understand people are frustrated. The problem in my opinion, there is a shortage of doctors and the ones we do have are completely overwhelmed and are dictated GREATLY by the insurance companies. People that were complaining about the cost of their visits and the amount of time that was spent with them should not be angry at the doctors. The health care system is SEVERELY broken and these poor doctors are trying their best to do their job. I feel like the anger is misdirected. The front desk staff and doctors are overworked and are trying to do a good job but they are only human and to hear bitching all day long has got to be taxing. I have never found them to be rude myself. Maybe come to it from a different perspective. The health care system is broken and most of this these problems are a result of the health insurance companies not the doctors!!!!!

I completely understand the 3 star rating. The front desk is rude to the the patients, especially the young redhead. You have to wait and then you're rushed out and told to make another appointment if you have more than two issues.I work in Healthcare and this kind of treatment really should be looked into.

This office is a joke, don't go here if you need any kind of test that you need to receive results for, you might die waiting for them to call you. Receptionist is rude and nasty on the phone.

De.Alex Fisher is the best doc I’ve ever had. I will continue to go to her as long as I’m able! The medical assistant Hanna is awesome also.

having a health issue, but due to "we aren't scheduling between two offices right now so we can't schedule you" unacceptable. I'll be seeking a new primary care after a trip to urgent care.

I had left a medication at a hotel , when traveling. I called the office with a refill request, explaining my predicament. The recorded refill line stated it could take 3 days for the refill to go through. I placed a call to the office, spoke to a receptionist, who sent a message to refill detailing my need. The pharmacy called, less than 1 hour later, saying the meds were ready for pick up. I am an RN. In these days of “corporate medicine”, where we see so many examples of the bottom line meaning more than personal care, this is why Frederick Primary Care stands tall. A great PCP team!

I’ve been going to this office since I was a toddler. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill. Every appointment I make I can guarantee to wait in the lobby about 30min past my appointment time. It’s extremely frustrating that this has become the norm.

Been waiting on blood test results since Monday, it’s now end of business day Wednesday. Have call three times in one day for results and “they have not had anyone able to read them or answer the note they put on them”

If you go here, see Dr Fisher- he’s great. Recently had blood work by Dr Igrees and got an unscheduled call from her about the results which was fine - until I got a bill for the call for $200- she had marked it down as a ‘440 video call’ which is complete and total garbage. I was at work at the time and would not have scheduled a call then - my work computer would’ve blocked it out. Very shady. Like I said, see Dr fisher if you have to go here

Best practice I have ever been to as an adult. Saw me every 2 weeks till my diabetes was completely under control. My previous provider just told me to take more insulin. By the time I got to FPCA and Dr Bhantnagar I was up to 60 units a day and my Ac1 was still high. Long story short I currently take 0 insulin. I strongly recommend them to anyone!!

Dr Fisher is amazing! My whole family sees him and has been seeing him for years. 10/10 recommend him! His front desk receptionist Jessica is absolutely amazing as well!

I have been a patient for 5 years and have had no issues with the office until recently. The good: Pernisha and Alyssa, the receptionists, were lovely and helpful when helping me correct a provider’s prescription order mistake. My FPCA provider, Melissa Davis, NP, has a great bedside manner. I always feel comfortable during appointments. The bad: Doris, the other receptionist, had very poor customer service and hung up on me, despite me politely and thoroughly explaining my prescription order situation. If your provider is Melissa Davis, NP, be prepared to do your own research. I began to lose trust in my provider in staying up-to-date on medical literature. During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic when the CDC began to recommend face masks in indoor spaces and before the highly contagious Omicron variant existed, Melissa mentioned during my appointment that face masks didn’t really make a difference. However, there were several peer-reviewed papers in high impact journals that explained that surgical face masks reduced the spread of COVID-19 (before the highly contagious Omicron variant existed). It is not fair for me to say that this provider is not up-to-date on all medical knowledge beyond COVID-19, but I hope that CEs and regular training are required for all FPCA providers. In addition, I have experienced administrative errors in my prescription orders this past year. After my last check-up, my provider forgot to order automatic refills for a routine daily medication. This past year, I have to call FPCA every 3 months to manually request a refill. This past month, I have called on 3 different occasions to request the same refill. I am only now getting a response because I asked to speak to the receptionist. Although Pernisha the receptionist was kind enough to specify the exact pharmacy location, the provider put in the order to the wrong pharmacy 1.5 hours drive away from my current location. I have had to call FPCA 4 separate times today to rectify the situation and cannot imagine what it would be like for an elderly or disabled patient who cannot easily do what I did.Overall: The majority of staff is lovely, and I feel comfortable at my appointments. However, I will be trying a different provider or group practice in the near future in hopes of more competent patient care.

In 2019 it took three appointments before someone looked in my ear to see I had a wax buildup and kept telling me my nausea/fatigue/dizziness was all in my head and to see a psychiatrist. In the same year in a walk-in I mentioned being bisexual and spent the rest of the appointment being looked at with disgust by the provider. In 2020 one of their providers told me COVID was exactly the same as the flu. THREE times they lost/mistested blood and urine samples. This year I moved out of state, spent 4 visits in the ER and needed a referral faxed to my cardiologist, they refused to do a video visit so I can get treatment for my *HEART* I cannot wait to have a new PCP next month, good riddance to this entire practice
