I have never done pottery in my life and so glad I took this class! Cassidy is a wonderful teacher and proficiently helps the not-so creatively-inclined like myself successfully throw, trim, and glaze, and enjoy the process. Highly recommend!

If you have any interest in pottery at all, book a class! I took a couple classes after binge watching The Great Pottery Throwdown and had such a great experience that I ended up getting my own wheel and home studio setup - but I’ll probably keep using the studio as well because the environment is so great and everyone is so helpful.

I love this place. I just started taking the pottery beginner class: learn to throw, and I have learned so much and I really enjoy it. I can see myself continue taking more classes and get better over time. my daughter and I both love to come to the open studio.

I’ve been a student at Frederick Clay for almost seven years and I truly love this place. I have gone from knowing absolutely nothing about the process of making pots to feeling like I can really make what I want!! The instructors are the best and the atmosphere and sense community in this studio is amazing. The owner Tammy Martinize has created a wonderful place to grow and learn This is more than just a place to make pots is a place to make lifelong friends and learn so much about yourself !!!

Great place for beginners and experienced ceramists alike, I always enjoy returning for classes. The studio is well organized and friendly, there are plenty of opportunities to learn techniques from the instructors who are accomplished artists themselves and from workshops and the other students. I always return when I'm home!
