I got waxed today by Kylie. My experience was safe and comfortable. She was patient and gave me tricks to make my experience less painful! She even gave me the option to look at the work she’s done in a mirror and I was so grateful. Did a wonderful job, will be coming back to her again!

This was my first visit and the first time I've had someone different provide waxing services to me in about 8-9years. I hate change but this was a pleasant experience! I had a young lady named Lo!! She was very personable and I felt comfortable immediately! I will return!Service: Brazilian waxing

I used to come here until I realized a lot of their estheticians don't use tweezers and leave you half done after a wax. After being gone a while I figured why not, so I scheduled an appointment and it was cancelled last minute. Then I called to get rescheduled same day but the woman said there were people ahead of me on the wait-list even though my appointment had been cancelled. I was put in a tough spot since I was about to leave town the next day and they cancelled my appointment midday on a Sunday which didn't leave me with a lot of options. I asked for a manager but there apparently are no managers in store? I was supposedly put on a call back list so I could talk to one and I have yet to hear from anyone. This was two weeks ago. I've been here a couple times and every time it's a bad experience and horrible customer service. Don't go here.

I have been avoiding posting a review but it seems as I can’t get a call back from a supervisor. I love my aesthetician she is amazing and always does a great job but she is usually booked and it’s hard to get an appointment because they are always short so you have to book way out. well I live over an hour away so I don’t come as often. On my last visit I was offered a pass, buy 3 waxes get 1 free. I specifically asked if they expire and was told they never expire so I bought it thinking wow this is great. Boy was I wrong !!! I used 1 pass the I bought it. I went back last week and after my wax the receptionist says I owe. I told her I should have a pass on file. She checks and says it has been expired since February. I explained I was told they don’t expire. She says they normally don’t and that must have been a special. I was so upset because I spent so much money on the pass and still had to pay. She assured me that a supervisor would reach out to me and it’s been over a week now. So disappointed!

I just….I tried. Today, I had an appointment at 10 today for two services. I was never informed that the person I had originally booked with was out sick and that they were bumping me to someone else until after the appointment was over and I asked. I stayed positive and was just feeling positive that they were able to get me in early. Samantha, the woman who was providing the service in place of the other was very nice, we made great conversation and I knew from overhearing conversation that she was new - no problem, I don’t mind be patient with someone who is learning. Well….yikes. I was in the room an hour….my Brazilian did not get finished- I ended the service because of the amount of pain I was in - never before had that kind of experience. My underarms took 30 minutes on their own. And I didn’t even realize the full extent of the horror until I had a chance to really look. There was a lot of wax left on me…in both areas but most concerning the lower area. So, I figured out where my previous aesthetician went and booked an appointment with her for this evening (thankfully she had an opening) - so I drove an hour and a half to her to get this fixed. Well, she informed me that I had wax burns and skin tears in both areas, and even had to tweeze certain areas for fear of putting warm wax on already burnt skin. To add insult to injury, the longer the day goes on, the worse it looks and the more it hurts. Samantha was plenty nice, you could tell she wanted to do a good job, I just think the training staff failed her. She was clearly nervous - as if she had been “thrown to the wolves”. We had great conversation, and she didn’t make it awkward, very professional in her presentation. With a good strong trainer and some support she could likely excel. This location is frequently understaffed, which makes me wonder. ??♀️ I am thankful for the other location squeezing me in to finish my Brazilian, clean the mass amounts of wax off my skin - which had my panties STUCK to me most of the day?, and to inform me on what the condition actually was so I could properly care for my skin until it heals. I love having a salon that specializes in waxing so close. Communication is key. I use many of their services and have learned that if I make the technician aware of my preferences before they get started, I always walk out a happy customer. They have a great rewards program too. And their products are amazing

The staff is always really nice and efficient. If you are picky with times, I'd recommend booking at least a couple of weeks in advance. Best prices for the area with great service too!

I have been a customer of EWC (mostly in Gaithersburg, MD) and never had any issue there. I went to the Frederick location on 1/17/23 since it's closer to home and was burned by the wax. I called the location to inform them and was eventually connected with Anna, the team lead or assistant manager (not sure which title is correct). She said she would speak to the wax specialist and call me back by 1/26/23 - she did not. I called the location again on 2/1/23 to speak to Anna but was told she wasn't available. The receptionist took a message for the district manager. I have not heard anything and have been dealing with the burns and pain for 2 weeks with no resolution from this location.

Called a canceled an appointment because i had to deal with a family emergency within their policy and rescheduled an appointment. I show up on my rescheduled date and time and I have no appointment. The front desk is the worst.

I can honestly say that I was highly disappointed in the experience of customer service I receive at this establishment I have been getting waxed for almost 5 years here at European Wax all over the world traveling always had the best customer service and experiences until recently moved in Frederick . The staff here is very rude and condescending especially the receptionist every single time I came in person. I got a nasty attitude, but via phone a different response or actions. Same as to be if they were racially, profiling, and being biased. I was also lied to when I made my appointment via app that they attempted to call me which they didn't. They called the wrong person so they canceled my appointment even though I verbally confirmed it via phone speaking to someone. This location particular for scheduling is a hot mess. They can never get it right. Also, one of them told me that they change the late policy from 9 minutes to 3 minutes. I was late one time by exactly 1 minute and 45 seconds and the receptionist canceled my appointment. I am never late usually always 15-20 minutes early just happened for me get off work late because an emergency incident. So after that experience, I have stopped going. They still proceed to bill me after speaking to management. Very poor customer service , receptionist should pick a different industry if their always going to be rude and passive, obvious that she hates her job or is rude to minority descents. Although I will commend the waxer I was seeing she kept on apologizing for my experiences. Waxer was nice , polite attentive and precise on detail.

I've been to other EWC's and I can tell you this place in Frederick is managed very poorly. While the estheticians are great, they are forced to work at a fast pace. It is very hard to book appointments because they are always booked, and when you go in for your appointment, you feel rushed, like you're just a number. Hire more estheticians or book less appointments in one day, simple as that. If you are late to your appointment by 8 minutes, they will not take you. This place place only cares about the profit, and its evident. Work on your customer service, please.Service: Waxing

They loop you into a package for multiple waxes, but don’t have enough aestheticians to accommodate the demand so it is so hard to book a time that fits your schedule. When you are a couple minutes late they will tell you to reschedule but it is ok for them to be a couple minutes behind. This place is a scam! Just another big corporate company taking advantage of its employees and clients. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY!Service: Brazilian waxing
