The reviews are true - Don Deibler is THE BEST lender. I was just like you, a first time home buyer introduced to Don by my agent. I Googled Don and saw the glowing reviews and thought "nobody is this good." He is. Don was proactive, patient, helpful, and funny! He truly made an otherwise stressful event extremely pleasant and enjoyable! I am now one of those people online singing Don's praises so hard you think he paid me. But trust me, go with Don and you won't regret it.

There’s something to be said about working with a smaller business: it is a distinct luxury to have this personalized of an experience. My wife and I recently purchased our first home. As first time home buyers, we were pretty intimidated by the process—we had thought for a long time that we would never be able to own a home. Don and his team did an amazing job supporting us and walking us through every step. And while I wholeheartedly believe we had great service at every stage of the process, there are a few places I want to single out as being exceptional.First, Don and his team at Shore United took every concern and question we had seriously. He patiently explained unfamiliar concepts, provided explanations of confusing terms, and always gave us a clear idea of what to expect next. The team excelled at timely communication and provided helpful reminders.Second, Don and his team were proactive and responsive in addressing our unique needs. My wife and I are both college professors, and our contracts and pay schedules can look odd to someone not familiar with that industry. Don did an excellent job contextualizing our situation for lenders and advocating for us.Finally, Don and Shore United worked to connect us with state and local programs that could provide the best mortgage and down payment assistance to help us make an offer on our home. Don Deibler and his team at Severn Bank exemplify all that can be great in a banking relationship, and why we go out of our way to seek out small, boutique firms to do business with. Personable. Knowledgeable. Accessible. Responsive. Our expectations were exceeded at every step of the process, including a last-minute challenge to an on-time closing that Don was able to hand carry through the final steps and solve in time. Communication was fantastic, we always knew what the latest was. The mortgage process can be stressful enough, this is the sort of group you want on your side as you navigate it. TLDR: Highly recommend Don Deibler for his professionalism, communication, and support through the home buying / loan process!Full Review: Don Deibler was exactly the right person to walk me and my wife through the process of getting a loan for our first home. As a self employed person, my file was a particularly challenging one, requiring a massive amount of papers and processing to ensure the loan. I had worked with a lender prior to Don, and the experience was SO different. That lender was completely unwilling to put in the leg work to help me get that loan. Now, I am a happy homeowner and I couldn't have done it without Don and his team! Don walked me through every step of the way and ensured I knew what needed to be sent at each milestone. Highly recommended. Don is very professional, personable, and communicative!
