Beware. They have hidden non-standard policies that will end up costing you a lot of extra money. For example, if you are renting a car on a Friday late afternoon for a one-day rental, and plan to return it Saturday late afternoon, they don’t let you do that. Budget does not accommodate after hours’ return on rental vehicles. You have to pay for an extra day and then return it on Sunday before they close at 12:30. And be sure to tell them at pickup that due to this policy you will need a two-day rental or else they will charge you a late fee as well.Apparently cleaning vehicles between renters is not standard procedure at Budget. (Gross.) We returned our vehicle clean but in need of a quick vacuum, for which we were charged an additional $120. When informed of this charge (after we had already returned the vehicle), I asked if I could take it myself to vacuum it and avoid the cleaning charge. I was told that this would not be permitted because they had already closed out the transaction.I’ve rented numerous cars from various agencies and never dealt with anything like this. I strongly recommend choosing Enterprise or Hertz for your rental car needs.

Great friendly staff early on a Sunday morning. Easy to change the date of my rental when I made a mistake on my flight date due to international travel date change. Easy checkout of the car and easy check-in upon return.

I would leave zero stars if that was an option. Hidden fees galore. To begin with, if you pick up a vehicle late on a Friday for a one-day rental, intending to return it Saturday evening, you can't do that because they don't accept after-hours returns. They will charge you for two days and say you have to bring it back on Sunday between 9:00and 12:30. Apparently their definition of an a "one-day rental" on a Friday evening is from Friday evening until Saturday no later than 12:30. I've never had this situation with any other rental car agency. Having no option, I proceeded with my "two-day rental" now having paid twice as much as I planned to. Whatever, my husband and our dog and I traveled as planned and had a good time. All went well with the return, until I was called an hour later and told that they would be imposing a $125 cleaning fee because of dog hair in the vehicle. I had left the vehicle in good condition; it just needed a quick vacuum, which I assumed would be standard between renters as it is at every other agency. Nope. This is an opportunity for another money grab at Budget and you can bet they went for it. I have sent multiple emails escalating with management, and no one will help me. They have my card so they're charging it, and apparently there's nothing I can do except shout my experience far and wide online. So here I am. Never ever use Budget.

Reserved a car a week in advance for pickup on 10am on a Saturday for a short trip later that day. Get a call at 9:50am on my way to pick it up that no cars are available. Now I'm spending double for a last minute rental from another vendor and adding 2 hours to my morning

Overall great experience. Car quality was good - staff was very helpful when I picked up the car, and I returned the car after hours, but there were no unexpected charges, so overall, Budget came through with what I needed without a whole lot of lead time with the rental request!

Sub par customer service and very arrogant worker who believes he knows more than anyone even when the budget agent on the line was saying that he wasn't right ? and it seems like this manager been at it for a good long time seeing other reviews.

Low maintenance, super easy, I did my check in online ahead of time and basically just walked inside to grab the keys when I got there. The gentleman working the desk was concerned because the vehicle I was renting was parked under some trees so there was bird p*** on the top and side of the vehicle. I didn't care lol the inside was SPOTLESS. Can't remember the last time I drove around in a car so freakin clean. ✨️✨️✨️

Miguel took very good care of us and got us in and out very fast. He was very friendly and apologized when he didn't realize I was waiting (it was maybe 5 minutes). We were a little confused on why the door was locked but it was just because they only had one person and he was cleaning cars. Over all good service!

The customer service team is horrible. They had 1 person working the front. The fast track was not open to get our car. No one there to help us and see what we needed to get our car. We were told to go in line and exit to be helped!!!!! We prepaid, pre signed in for fast track. Why do we have to wait in the line of 30 people. We have fast track. This happened in Boston and Baltimore. The worse experience. We will never rent from budget again. We decided to rent another car and we were on our way after waiting 2 hours with no car from budget.

I truly would like to recognize an employee by the name of Toly who always exceeds customer service whenever we come in to rent a vehicle. He gives friendly service, hard worker, fulfills customers requests and meets all my expectations of great customer service. Very good experience. They had the car I requested and it was in good condition. I made a mistake on my rental and the agent helped me, which was appreciated. I’ll definitely rent from Budget again.

I had a great experience with Budget in Frederick MD. Rates were lower than any other rental place. The car was new and clean, in a perfect condition. I made a reservation online and pick up took literally 2 minutes. I rented it for one week initially but needed to extend for a few day. It was easily done over the phone using automated system. The return was as easy and quick as the pick up. The staff was very nice and polite. Will definitely be renting here again if I ever need to.

Wish I could give them a ZERO! I rented a vehicle from Dulles International Airport for 3 weeks. Upon arriving at my destination over an hour away the vehicle said it required maintenance. I immediately called customer service who told me to take the vehicle to the closest Budget location to get my rental replaced. The closest location was 30 minutes away in Frederick, WV. Before I took the hour long round trip drive I call that location to confirm they could give me a new rental. For 2 DAYS they have told me they didn't have a single vehicle in their inventory. There is no way a car rental business has zero cars at any given time! They even had the nerve to ask me to take their vehicle to Pep Boys to get the maintenance done for them!!! What kind of company is this!?
