This location and M&T Bank is my favorite. The staff goes above and beyond to serve the community. The bank manager is also very polite and friendly. I highly recommend this location.

I'm very disappointed. I'm entry in this location at 3:26pm I try to deposit a check, I couldn't deposit because the date on the check. I don't have no problem with that then I ask for help to open an my online business account, the lady said is already late they close at 4:00 pm it was 3:36pm. I spoke Mister Tom E. Pope. I asked about to open my online business account. He said is no possible because will take 30 to 35 min. I think is poor customer service they was focused on the 4pm . They didn't considerate I was there at 3:26pm

Banking with little customer service. 2 incidents with this bank. The first was waiting for the bank to open 15 minutes after they should have been open. Only to see the manager pop out of his car after sitting on his phone.The second was the manager developing an attitude while i was trying to get some information. They obviously don't understand that customer service is important.

In reality, the people who work in that place do not even know how the system works. I tried to add my husband to my account and it came out that he was going to call me a day later.

Came to inquire about opening a new account with promotions. Banker refused to promote any product, telling me to go home and look up their offers myself and that he could not do it for me at the branch. Held a sarcastic tone the entirety of my first, and will be last, visit.

I was looking to open an account but decided not to. After waiting for 20 mins, the person assisting us was very quiet and serious... Like we were bothering them. I'm not sure if they we're having a bad day, but if I'm going to give someone my money, I want to feel welcomed and comfortable in a friendly environment. Still looking for the right bank.

I receive deplorable customer service every time I enter this particular branch. I use this bank branch to cash my workers' comp checks from time to time, as they are the issuing bank and it is in close proximity to my home. The 1st time I tried cashing a check there, the teller was extremely rude and questioned why I was in that part of town. She seems to be the only teller there, as she waits on me every time with a devilish grin. She acts like she's never seen me before each and every time I come in. I expect nothing less than her going over my I.D. with a fine toothed comb, only to make me wait a long while she goes and asks her supervisor questions; EVERY TIME!!! The last and FINAL time I went there, I had an issue with the address on the check not matching my I.D. as I have two different residences. I was denied the ability to cash my check, which IS up to their discretion. Understandable. However, her reason for ultimately not cashing the check was that she said she had never seen me before!!! I reminded her of our past interactions and she promptly passed me along to her supervisor. I explained my situation to this "gentleman" but he ultimately agreed with her. Understandable. Here's the kicker, I then asked to open an account with this M&T Bank on Livingston Road, and was told by the supervisor that I could not!!! Why? Not because I didn't have the proper identification( I had state ID and Passport) or funds( I had cash along with the check), but because I would try and deposit the check(issued by M&T Bank)! I was willing to open an account with cash and deposit the check for it to get approved through the proper channels so this would never have to happen again; denied. I kept a calm demeanor the entire time, but he did not, he was unprofessional and insinuated that I was trying to commit check fraud. He became red in the face and expressed his agitation that I now wanted to open an account. After being again denied the ability to open an account, I asked to speak with the branch manager. The employees had a huddle up in the back and the Branch manager also stated that I could not open an account. The Branch manager then "called" someone to double check the policies and procedures of opening an account. This magical convo lasted a couple minutes, and she reiterated her original stance and that I was free to leave. I immediately called customer service to report the incident and was informed that that was NOT the policies or procedures! I received an apology from them and was guided to the Oxon Hill branch where I was taken care of in a professional and prompt manner. I will never bank with M&T in Ft Washington MD ever again!!! EVER! I advise that you also take heed and don't as well! They are rude, unprofessional, and they profile.
