Has what you need in a pinch. Gym is tiny with cable cross over and few cardio... No freeweights or space for stretching but.. Like I said... In a pinch... It will do. I went there to do laundry..wash and dry was $2 eaah... But they have basketball court and other things for family including swimming pool and lounge area. Staff is pretty nice. Of and if you're a civilian... You need to go there to get a card to use the commissary or you will get rejected like Shaq in his prime

Fort Meade is one of the best places to work or visit. Everyone is so nice, and the great customer service provided from the Access Control Officers extend all the way to the PX, Commissary and Bowling Alley. Don't like the tire shredders, but do understand why there needed. Fort Meade has come a long way from back in the day. Its a great place. Great Food Court and they have one of the best gyms around.

I sincerely hope leadership is employing a solid plan to accommodate the increase in traffic coming to Meade effective January 1, 2020 when post access is expanded. The current flow is already unreasonable and absurd. I love that more veterans will have access to posts and bases, but these places need to get ready, soon!

I have never seen fireworks like I saw at Ft. Meade. And the Commissary and Exchange are absolutely amazing. I love it down there
