Smaller gym and often you have to wait for bars if you get there by 730 am or after 3. There are only 8 bar options that serve as bench and squat rack, so it goes quick. There are also only two cable options. Additionally there is only half of the treadmills that gaffney offers. However it offers better hours and less instances of…. Uncomfortable interactions (girls will get what I mean).

Your standard military fitness center. Rumored that it was a school before becoming a gym which accounts for the strange layout. But it'll get the job done.

8 power racks and 24-hour access, a shift-working powerlifter's dream. Amazing gym and just keeps getting better and better with new equipment and updates.

Best time to go is during past normal hours when you have to badge in. There will be zero to a few service members there with you. You'll enjoy peace and quiet. Just don't ego lift coz no one there will help you rack your weights. ?

Better than Gaffney is all I have to say. Their hours are better and flexible. Only complaint is that while approaching summer I have noticed roaches in men's bathroom. Just make sure exterminators are taking care of that.

I have to admit I first went to Eagle Fitness when it was SeaLandAir in 1989. It's still a great place to workout. Looks like the redesigned the free weight area and expanded the cardio area. The whole place felt clean and fresh, and I had a great workout.

Good gym, clean and full of just about anything you would want. The best time to go, like most gyms, is first thing in the morning but afternoons are not too packed. It is most empty around 7-9am.

I strongly disliked this facility for years. I felt it had a very prison-esq atmosphere. They've upgraded the squat racks and lifting room which has greatly improved the gym. The staff is usually helpful. Aside from some cleanliness concerns, I appreciate the facility.

Gym definitely needs some updates to the entire gym the machine room feels a Lil claustrophobic because too many machine in on room, could use a thorough a bit of cleaning but it's 24/7, and usually very dead. And I'm grateful for that.

Even by base gym standards this one is pretty bad. It's probably most noticeable in the summer, when the temp is 100 outside and 95 inside. The a/c is completely inadequate and inconsistent. Some rooms...that's right, this is one of those kinds of gyms...have decent cooling but the main weight room has none. Same goes for the basketball court and locker rooms. Don't bother showering; it won't take. Coupled to the weak a/c is generally non-existent air flow through the facility. Again, the room setup rears its head. While most gyms from the past 20 years have an open design, this one sticks with rooms and walls and low ceilings. What's really concerning is the room with a fireplace. There's no good explanation for it. Most likely, the gym was previously used for other purposes. Another possibility is that it hasn't been properly renovated in decades. Neither option is desirable. Unfortunately, nothing will be done about this garbage gym. It's not beholden to the rules of capitalism. Regardless of how bad it is, it can't go out of business for its failure to improve. Moreover, because military and civilians, alike, are required to use a base gym, it sees an artificially high number of users. Other, lesser issues include no music (even basic radio) over the PA system despite the fact they have the capability; weirdly small locker room with a very cramped layout; even smaller equipment rooms that have quite literally no space between machines; and the tvs are on one channel only (ESPN).
