Saw a deal that said no appointments needed for haircut and blow drying. So I still called to verify and they said I did need an appointment and they said they only had an appointment that same day. Made arrangements to bring my daughters and when I arrived I was told to come back the next day because it would be better for them. Made arrangements again to come today and when I arrived today I was told they could not complete service. Now my daughters are disappointed and I have wasted time and money dealing with them for the last two days. What’s the point of advertising this big deal for this weekend with no appointment needed if you’re not going to honor the deal. With customer service like this I’m surprised JCpenny is still open and hasn’t had the same fate as Sears.

I scheduled a hair appointment at the JCPenney Salon at Forestville Mall for 9/7/2024 at 1:45 pm for an xpress cut, treatment, and two-strand twists. Despite booking a month in advance and reviewing two stylists on Instagram, I was notified 1.5 weeks prior that my original stylist was unavailable, and I was rescheduled. The new appointment was with a different stylist, and when I tried to resolve this, I found conflicting information about appointment availability online and over the phone. The salon advised that while phone bookings were preferred, the online system took precedence. Armed with this information, I saw that the second stylist whose work I had reviewed was available for 9/7, so I booked her. This split my services between one stylist for the trim and treatment and the second for the twists.
On the day of the appointment, I called to confirm and was told that the stylist for my xpress cut and treatment was not working. I was then asked to come at 2:00 pm instead, and the new stylist would handle all services. I arrived to find the stylist finishing up with another client. After checking in, we discussed my hairstyle, and I was informed there would be a detangling fee. She offered me a comb to detangle while she finished up. During this time, she mentioned that I could have someone else wash and trim my hair.
After 30 minutes of detangling, I continued to wait, incorrectly assuming I would be seated shortly. I wasn’t seated until 3:45pm, and the stylist informed me she had another appointment at 4:30 pm. After washing, treatment, and trim, I waited again until 6:30 pm. At that point, the stylist said she could not complete my requested twists and offered a simpler style instead. This was unacceptable, as I had already waited a total of 3 hours. I felt this could have been avoided if she had informed me earlier that the twists couldn’t be done. She chose to highlight the fact that after detangling my hair I did not request for someone else to wash it, placing the blame of poor time management and communication on me.
I ended up paying for just the cut and treatment and went home to style my own hair after 5 hours in the salon. I had hoped for a positive experience focused on natural hair care but left feeling disrespected and unsatisfied. I was frustrated by the lack of clear communication and the long wait times. The salon’s scheduling and confirmation process need improvement.

I got extension for the first time using Tomika's hair extension and microblading services and I must say, I am beyond impressed. Throughout the process, she ensured that I was comfortable and satisfied with the results, going above and beyond to exceed my expectations. It is evident that Tomika takes great pride in her work and is dedicated to delivering exceptional results for her clients.In conclusion, I cannot recommend Tomika's hair extension and microblading services highly enough. Not only did she enhance my appearance with her expert craftsmanship, but she also provided a personalized and memorable experience that left me feeling confident and beautiful. Thank you, Tomika, for your outstanding work and genuine passion for your craft.

Came in for a wash and style in the Forestville Mall location. Tomika was very professional and knowledgeable with my hair and recommendations for products that have helped me maintain my hair. Will definitely be returning for more services.

Sinks stopped all the time (sitting) water, but the manager is more concerned with sales as she sends multiple text messages bullying the workers into making more sales for her commission. Shop is poorly run, the morale is low and stylist are treated unfairly. They got a visit from the board and have been placed on a corrective action plan 10-days! Fire the manager all she does is try to pad her own pockets, send shady/back handed text messages and all while the stylists make $15 an hour, she presses them to make money for her. FIRE THE MANAGER! I DARE YOU TO RETALIATE

Don't even think of ordering anything requiring delivery from this unmanaged company. I order two components. First they tried to deliver one without the other which is a non-starter. Then for a week they send a message late in the day saying delivery will be in the morning and no one shows. Late in the morning they then say delivery in the afternoon. All by computer bots with no one answering the ;phone at the delivery firm. Today the sales person finally got through and they said they still do not have the seconds piece of the order.

I booked an appointment for 1/10/2024 for 1:45pm. I will refer to the stylist as A. I wanted a cut, wrap and curl. She was finishing up with someone when I arrived. I finally sat in her chair at 2:00pm. She asked me what I want and was examining my hair. So, I told her that I wanted my hair cut in a style, wrapped and curl. I had given my self a perm a few days prior and had a chemical burn that I didn’t noticed as she was examining my hair. She took a picture and stated she needed to show it to her manger. She later returned 15-20 minutes later stating that her manager said they could not do my hair and that I needed to see a dermatologist. I was very upset since I had took out my braids a week ago and my hair had grown out and I needed a style to be able to maintain my hair. I left the salon humiliated as I was unable to get my hair styled on the day I wanted. I was not asking for any chemicals just a wash, cut and style. I am sure this salon has encountered someone that may had a chemical burn after a relaxer. I ended up finding someone to style my hair at the last minute that day. I was very disappointed in my visit and experience at JcPenny Salon.

Do not shop here. I've been trying to get a refund on an item i never got for three months. They don't answer the phone, manager never calls back like they say she will, the worst, most incompetent employees ever.

Amazing. I get styled my Andrea. She is the best. This salon is a great place for your natural hair needs. I started coming here a year ago. Andrea took my hair from a lifeless mess to beautiful in any weather. Candice is the absolute best! She was able to shampoo and style my natural hair like no other. I went in for a natural twist out and she also did a treatment on my curls so they be extra bouncy. I loved the style she twisted my hair in so much that I wore it twisted for three days. Went I took my hair down it looked amazing. I would highly recommend her!Service: Hairstyling

I love JC penny hair salon my stylist also salon manager is always professional and gives the best advice I can sit in her chair and get some good pointers on hair care and anything else I talk to her about she's a great person inside and out she makes you feel welcome and that's a plus the girls always comes to her for help and styling technique she always helps them good atmosphere to be in I would recommend this salon to all my friends and family

I recently purchased a STERN & AFOSTER mattress from JCP, when the mattress was delivered to my home it was soiled, in 3 different places, I called JCP for more than a week and they refused to give me a discount to have it cleaned, I was advised by JCP to return the mattress and place a new order, this was done, the new order came and the mattress again had the same soiled marks on it, I refused the mattress and cancelled the order. I believe this mattress was in the JCP showroom becasue when I went there to look at different ones I saw that same stain on a few mattresses in the showroom. It is so disgusting a company like JCP will deliver a mattress in that condition knowing that the customer have to sleep on the mattress, and its not something you can wash, the customer service reps were so rude and unwilling to work with me, they promised to call me back and to date have not, its now going on 2 months going through this process, (The only person that followed up with me and was very understanding was the salesperson PETRINA she gave me her cell no and was calling me, but there is not much she can do, I have placed an order with the manufacturer Stern & Foster and have to wait another two weeks for delivery, I do nt presently have a mattress on my bed. I have pics to prove it so does the delivery company, as they are the ones that first pointed out the dirty mattress to me, but said they are just delivering so they could not have refused to do the delivery. (wish I could give minus zero stars)
