I deposited a Wells Fargo Bank cashier's check in my Bank of America checking account for $17,000 on October 27th 2018. After mailing a few checks on October 29th to pay bills, including my annual property taxes, I found out that Bank of America had put a hold on my deposited check until November 7th. A 10 day hold on a bank cashier's check in totally ridiculous. I am sure it takes no more than 48 hours for a bank to bank check to clear and Bank of America can enjoy collecting interest from these deposited funds for 7 to 8 days. I called Bank of America customer department and spoke to Amber, who referred me to her supervisor, Monica. All I could get from them is excuses about policy and that no one in the company could override the hold on my check. So, they are telling me that no Bank of America official can waive the hold on the check of a 30 year customer. It's the company and not the branch. Maybe I need to change banks.

This branch NEVER has enough tellers or CSAs. Regardless of what time of day, there's ALWAYS an extended wait. It's ridiculous! And there's no apparent urgency with ANYONE that works here. They're kee kee'ing it up amongst themselves rather than being serious about transacting business, idle chit chat with customers in the back of the line, on their cell phones while customers are sitting in the lobby and just filled with unapologetic excuses about why they are short-staffed. At the end of the day ... just good, old-fashioned, PISS POOR customer service. I hate to say it, but it's par for the course because of the demographic. GO FIFTEEN MINUTES IN ANY DIRECTION AND GET BETTER SERVICE!

Usually smooth; today I waited 30 minutes in the drive thru because the teller was giving priority to those inside and periodically working on drive up transactions. Not as convenient as it should have been considering I was avoiding taking my infant out of the backseat.
