5.70 a gallon for propane? Based on what I use? Which is about 1 tank per year I'm done with this company. This company is pure scam first year we moved into this home we spent 5k in 1 winter with their "special pricing". Just spent over 1200 apparently on 213 gallons of propane. I may even get a lawyer involved this is ridiculous. 100% go with another company and ask about the rates after 2-5 years

Easily 3x the cost of all local competitors if you rent the tank from them. And if you call to question the ridiculous pricing they’ll send you to the finance department to break up your fee into payments.

We moved into our new house about 6 months ago. At our old house we used Suburban propane for 12 years. The previous owners of our current home also used Suburban propane. Yesterday, unfortunately, we realized that the guage that measures the gas level is not working. We discovered this when we ran out of gas yesterday (the guage still reads 75%). No gas for us means no heat, no hot water, and no cooking. We called Suburban to come to our rescue....we were told that the tank had to be inspected prior to fill up. They said they didn't have any availability until Tuesday next (this was a Wednesday). We again pleaded with them on Thursday when we found out that the previous owners were using them....so it is a tank that they had been servicing, and again we were told there was no availability. While I understand that they need to inspect for safety reasons. I don't understand why they couldn't rearrange their schedule to get to us sooner than next week. I'm sure that their other customers would of been fine rescheduling for them to help out a no heat emergency. It was 14 degrees outside when we woke up.
We have two kids and two pets, and we don't have any heat or hot water, and they want us to wait until Tuesday next week. They flat out refused to make an exception for our emergency. Well, thats alright.... We called Tevis and they came within the hour to do an emergency inspection on the tank and equipment . The delivery guy showed up an hour later to save us. Now that is great customer service! Thanks to Tevis, we won't have to wait until next week for heat and hot water. I'm sure Tevis would thank Suburban for their horrible customer service....I'll be telling my friends about my experience. And I will certainly NEVER recommend Suburban ever again. They failed us, when we needed them the most

Biggest bunch of crooks out there. Fees for this, fees for that, on top of being the most expensive, they also make you sign a contract then still want to charge you for canceling calling it a service fee instead of cancelation fee.
