I had never hired movers before, but my friends and siblings and I are all getting kinda old and broken Not only was the owner super nice and professional and reassuring, but the team that actually showed up at my house on Saturday was SO SWEET! They were polite and courteous and took great care of our stuff, and one of them even took a special interest in my cat because he was a bit distressed but reminded the guy of his own gray tabby We did have a hiccup, where the truck ended up not being big enough, so the guys had to make two trips, but the owner called to apologize and explain the plan, and we gave the team lead a key to both the house and the storage unit, and two of them very quickly grabbed the rest and came back to our new place, while one guy stayed behind to start unwrapping furniture and help my husband move a couple heavy things my body couldn't handle, just to slide them into place and such. They even helped us get a big heavy box out of my mother-in-law's car (not part of the job, obvs) and took a bunch of our unpacking trash with them when they left cuz it was already bagged up but just wouldn't fit in the outside can. The price was the best I found, and the service was better than I had dreamed. I one THOUSAND percent recommend this team for all your moving needs”

“These guys did an excellent job. On my job it was a 5 men crew, 2 trucks for 2100 sqft, including a huge basketball hoop. They were fast, professional, friendly, careful and flexible. They wrapped up everything nicely and asked about placement for everything that wasn’t labeled. They were even happy to move stuff from one floor to another even when we didn’t like our initial placement. Took furniture apart and put it back together. EXTREMELY reasonable prices. Please, offer to buy your movers lunch and tip as you would a server (though they did not ask for this). They work exceptionally hard and deserve every penny.”

“I've used Bookstore Movers for three moves now during my DC tenure and they are, in a word, amazing. When you submit a request, they get back to you within an hour with an estimate. They are really helpful with everything you need to get done pre-move, the moving truck rolls to your front door exactly on time, and they are quick and efficient but very safe with the move -- everything gets wrapped up and taped up. All in all, we were done with a two-bedroom house move ten miles down the road (farewell, DC) in two hours. 100% recommend.”

“Our task was a little complicated; we had bought a platform queen size bed frame. When it was delivered, we found that the headboard was bigger than our stairwell. The delivery people could not figure out how to get it up so we contacted several moving companies in the hopes of finding someone. David at TPC Transportation came through for us. He rented a lift and brought it in through the upstairs window over the front porch. He and his partner did an exceptional job, going out of their way to contact several rental companies before finding a reasonable one. They wrapped the headboard so there was no damage and removed and put the windows back for us. We would highly recommend them for any move, but especially for those ones that need inventive solutions. They did great.”
“I contracted Phoenix Movers to help me survive my move this summer. Without going into too many details, I can tell you that they are professionals. They listen and they address should you have any issues. Any mover will help you move, what matters to me is that if something goes wrong, how does one address that situation.
During our move, I was impressed with the care they took to wrap our stuff and the care with which they carried the stuff in and out of the houses. Honestly, I have seen movers struggle with my all wood heavy couches. Phoenix Movers took a moment and thought about how they will handle the couch and took it out the door in one swift move. Raul knows what he does and is able to guide his team. Paulo is so dedicated and methodical, he put together my ikea bed without looking at the instructions.
