The VDB store in Gambrills has the best and most helpful staff. I have BAD feet…it’s very frustrating to try to find shoes that I can comfortably wear. I tried 4 pairs of walking/running shoes before I found shoes that worked. I had to return 3 pairs of shoes. They transferred 2 different pairs from other stores. Each time they were so kind and understanding. I can’t say enough good things about this store and staff. They worked with me each time I came back assisting in finding me another shoe. This is customer service at its best. Thank you! This store will be a go-to store when looking for shoes. Online shopping is great, but sometimes you need brick and mortar stores!!

We went in today to buy kids school shoes and Emily provided the best customer service. She was patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. She took the time to make sure my kids tried multiple shoes and tried several modifications to help them fit. Service like this is rare these days and is much appreciated.

I'll start by saying that I am unaccustomed to paying $150 for a pair of shoes. However a recent purchase at a different VDB store convinced me that I should have two pairs of good quality shoes, so I can rotate them. Thus, I went shopping for some New Balance trainers. It was a real pleasure to be waited on by a mature adult man, who not only knows his product, but is personally familiar with being an older man whose joints require particular attention. My thanks to Irv for his knowledge and care in fitting me.

My podiatrist had recommended I check this pace out as I walk 3 to 4 miles day. I went on a weekday andwas help by a salesperson called Dominick. Very seemed both knowledgeable and patiently helpful as I had a number of questions. I called back later as I had afew questions about to special insoles I had purchased. These guys Horace and someone who answered the phone were again extremely helpful and addressed my issues on the phone. The shoes and insole I bought were expensive, around $250.00 (more than I have paid for walking shoes before but I will say that the specialized shoes I needed and their level of helpful service more than justify the price.

He made it such a fun experience for my 2 year old. We found the perfect size and perfect shoe! We can't wait to come back for his next pair of shoes. Seems like this store needs some customer service training. I walked in and one associate walked right by me without a hello or how may I help you. I proceed to look at shoes with no help. As I walked out an African American man came from the back to offer help. I didn’t know that in this work today you can only help people of the same race.

They do a good job fitting shoes, but have a horrible return policy. After buying the shoes they recommended (almost $200) they hurt my feet too much to wear at work. I took them back and even though they were in new condition they wouldn't take them back because I wore them out of the house.I went to a high end specialty store because I thought they would stand by their product. This isn't the case here, and now I'm out almost $200 on shoes I can't wear.
