Dr. Faega and team are always helpful and knowledgeable. They're a little limited in some testing but they're the most affordable vet around. We've been with them for over 15 years.

I was supposed to take our second dog - a 3 month old puppy for a booster shot. A couple of days before the appointment, I noticed that our older dog - a 3 year old - was limping. The two dogs run all over the house and it is possible he banged into furniture. But since I was going in anyway, I asked if I could bring both of them together.Dr Feaga got the older on the table first. I was describing to her about me noticing a limp a few times and he seemed to be favoring one leg. I don’t know where she was feeling about and what she pressed, but the dog snapped at her. She went into a tirade - “This dog is out the door. I am not getting bit again. And neither is my staff. I was bit once and I had to be in the hospital … etc etc”. My dog never bit her. He just snapped at her. Meanwhile, her assistant (Chris) was trying to correct for her abusive and unprofessional behavior and said “It’s ok. I can manage.” He then put him in a harness and gave him a shot. This happened very quickly. I was surprised and asked “Why is HE getting a shot today?” I was told (only then) that he was overdue for a Lyme disease booster and that’s what they gave him. Not a word of warning beforehand. Nothing about “We are doing this shot today, even though he was not scheduled. Oh, and by the way, these are the possible side effects.” Before I knew it, the shot was over and he had been handed back to me. Dr Feaga came out and showed me her finger which was crooked from the previous dog-bite, probably realizing that she went overboard in her prior reaction. And I am thinking “And you are asking me to make a spay appointment for the smaller dog? When you have a deformed finger and you just told me that you cannot do some surgeries because of that? How does THAT make sense?”The appointment was at noon. By late evening, the dog (that received the Lyme disease shot) was moving a little slowly. We read up on side-effects and figured he was in some pain and we were going to keep an eye on him. Things got progressively worse. He hardly slept all night. Couldn’t find a comfortable lying down position. Kept pacing everywhere, wouldn’t let him be picked up. Back was arched somewhat. We had a rough night just watching him in so much discomfort.First thing in the morning, my wife called the clinic to ask what we should do. As soon as she heard the last name, instead of listening to why we were calling, Dr Feaga started on the “I have been bit before, he is not going to be coming back to this practice…” Not even a cursory attempt to listen to my wife’s questions. The fact that we were NEVER going back there was a foregone conclusion on my part. The call was to get advice on what to do about adverse reaction to a shot given at THAT CLINIC.I always thought veterinarians did what they did because they loved animals. Maybe she did once, but not anymore. And that’s when you hang it up. That time is NOW - for Dr Wendy Feaga. Her assistant Chris has always been very professional and competent. I hope he finds a different place - a better place.

Dr. Feaga is the best and has been treating all of my family’s pets for over thirty years now. I don’t even live in Maryland anymore, and I still make the one-hour drive every time our two puppies need medical care.

Some of the most caring staff and pet doctor you will find. They have taken care of our current and past dogs for many years and will go above and beyond to make sure our pets receive the care needed. They are flexible and accommodating when we are forgetful and need a shot on the spot. Highly recommend

Dr. Feaga and her staff are extremely professional in their diagnosis of our dogs problems and rectifying the issue whether it is an ailment or injury. They are always welcoming and friendly and help to relieve the stress and anxiety we bring with us. We have been using Twin Oaks Animal Hospital for over 15 years and I see no reason to ever go somewhere else.
