I came in to grab reddiwhip and pie crust. I saw a cashier who wasn't busy and entered her lane with my items. After putting her phone down she proceeded to ring up my items without uttering a worrrrd. Not one friendly word. She never said "welcome to safeway", no "hi how are you?", no "did you find everything ok?", no "thank you", and she didn't even look at me when she put the receipt in my hand. This bothers me but usually not to the point of writing about it. But before I even walked away, she says "hi how are you?" to the women behind me. Are you kiddin me???
I took the high road and walked out calmly. I won't print what I REALLY wanted to say and do. Needless to say, she was rude, UNfriendly, UNprofessional, and as discourteous as a retail employee can be. HER NAME IS SUCHIR. And im going to seek her out next time I'm there and if she is rude to me again by not demonstrating positive customer service, im gonna call her out on it, loudly.
I'm 60 years old. I dont know what happened to cashiers with good customer service at this Safeway location. SUCHIR definitely needs to be retrained to understand how vital customer satisfaction is to retailers.

Single Porterhouse did not have a price and rang up at $80
at checkout when asking for a donation I accidentally hit $5 and does not ask for confirmation

I had a disappointing experience at Safeway Pharmacy, largely due to the poor customer service provided by Stephanie, the pharmacy manager. Despite being a loyal customer, I encountered a lack of empathy and professionalism during my recent visit. Stephanie’s dismissive attitude only added to the frustration of an already challenging day.
For a better customer service experience, Safeway Pharmacy should prioritize empathy and understanding, especially for patients who may be having a rough day. A little compassion can go a long way in making customers feel valued and respected.
Due to this unsatisfactory encounter, I have decided to transfer my prescription to Amazon Pharmacy, where I hope to receive the level of service and care that was lacking at Safeway. Or at least I won’t have to deal with human who may be having a bad day. Disappointing experiences like this should serve as a wake-up call for Safeway Pharmacy to reevaluate its customer service standards.

I had an appointment for a Covid shot, and I had received a confirmation. Pharmacist snapped at me, “you have no appointment in the system”. And when I tried to show her the confirmation on my phone, again she snapped “ some times it doesn’t work, go fill out a form and bring it back to me when you’re done”
No eye contact, no please or thank you. in fact no courtesy at all. Why?

Honestly a ok store not bad but not good. Something that really annoyed me was there hair/makeup section because they made the prices go up like 10$ per product, an example was these lifter glosses which is normally 8$ but they marked it up to around 17-18$ that really sucked because there was a lot of products in the makeup section that was really good but very unaffordable because of the price mark ups :/

I placed an order online for a cheese tray and sandwich tray. Went to pick it up on a Sunday morning and the employee never received the order. Made a comment that there have been problems with online orders in the past. Whatever the issue is, it needs to be fixed. On the plus side, I met a very helpful, compassionate employee, Vivian, that was working behind the counter and stepped up and made the trays for me in an hour. She was extremely empathetic and helpful. Thank you so much Vivian. 5 stars to Vivian, 1 star to the online ordering system.

Good grocery store to go to, Have a lot of items that people will need for daily life also has a pharmacy. It is a great store!

This store is renovated and really nice inside, especially with the tables they have set up at the entrance with all the promotional items all organized. The only thing I don’t like about the store is that it did not have the ready meals stocked, which seems to be an issue at all the Safeways in Howard county, at long gate and Harpers choice. That is a big inconvenience because Giant always seems to have prepared foods in stock. Hopefully Safeway can fix this problem and I would give it 5 stars.

Run don’t walk! Their sushi are considerably better than the ones from wegman’s. The variety and prices are unmatched. One thing they don’t have is kiwi salmon sushi but I’ll live
