Merchandise was clean and affordable. I liked that the price tags (labels) were easy to remove. It's a lil crowded for space, but worth the trip. I will say the staff was not knowledgeable, friendly or assistive. I purchased 4 fairly large items and was told they would help me get them to the car; didn't happen. Also a suggestion to the store team, once a customer has selected an item to purchase, that item should be marked with some form of tag to let other customers know it's being purchased (Sold) . I had to keep letting other customers know that I was buying the items they were now picking up; no assistance from the staff to secure my items while I continued to shop. Best suggestion to other shopper's be prepared to hunt the store on your own, and if you find whatever you plan to buy keep your eye on it or take it with you. Learned my future shopping strategy for this store.

I could not reply directly to your response but will add it to my review. I have experienced multiple times staff making fun of items parents bring in for sale. This is not a good feeling. The store does not allow items be returned if the receipt is lost / destroyed by a child. Promotions ran do not allow enough time for redemption and the staff is unwilling to work with customers. I also experienced a rack falling down. Lastly, the price of some items are more expensive than department stores. I compared the same item, size, and color.

The customer service at this location is horrible. Each time I visit this location, the team seems to be very selective to which customers they greet. I don’t care how many I miss you here’s 20% off texts I get. I will never support this location again. You can make more money selling on EBay. Its no longer convenient.

So I went to this location at 5pm to sell some baby girl items. The white lady at the front with glasses and dark hair told me to come back at 7pm to get an offer on my stuff. I came back at 7pm and my items were still sitting in the same place I had left them now mind you I only brought a half of a container of baby clothes so it wasn’t a lot of clothes to look through. She told me I could leave my baby clothes there overnight & come back tomorrow to get an offer so it was a COMPLETE waste of time coming to this location. Why would u tell me to come back at7pm just to never even look at the clothes!????? I hate when people don’t respect my time. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE,

I thought long and hard about creating this post! I wish I would have read these reviews prior to coming in.I have been to this location a few times.Today in particular I went to sell!I called prior and was told a time frame and I arrived 10 minutes later and was told a much longer time frame I’d need to wait around before having my items reviewed.My response was I understand……….. as she continued to go on and on , as if I was bothering her…… it really didn’t sit well with me!I left , and went food shopping with my children. We took our sweet time and when I came out still no text from store letting me know items was ready. No problem , we traveled home and then got the text as soon as I got to my driveway that the order was done. 30 minutes back to the store -I return to the store and waited my turn to go to the register .The young man that checked me out was not very friendly.So that just added insult to injury when he toldMe they accepted 12 of my items for 26$ !The bag of items I dropped contained girls and boys skinny jeans and coats size 7 and 6Gap Zara old navy Ralph Lauren carters etcI wanted to deny the offer but I didn’t to at least pay for the trip there and back .I have gone to similar stores. They respectYour time !!! They ask you to wait and they will go through your items while you “shop”.With the amount offered they should be processing orders in a more timely fashion.The low buy price wouldn’t seem so bad if y’all didn’t make us wait for hours and have unfriendly staff members .I wouldn’t suggest this business to another mama! Unfortunately between the long wait and insulting prices it’s a NO.THE ITEMS ON THE rack is not always a bargainThe children’s place jeans i noticed for example are 10$ new at children’s place -they charge 7-9$ for the same Jeans-Ironically I don’t have success with shopping there for my children because the styleOf clothes on the floor for them is not to my likingHow do they determine what’s in style and not? BeCause they don’t stock anything cute in the 7-8 size frame ? And I have both boy and girl I shop for and the selection in store has been poor for both since they was 5-6 size .I think a honest tip would be looking thoroughly through items and making better choices on what’s instyle ? And not ?Being a little friendlier with the people that help make the store go around ———

I was so happy when this place moved locations. It’s now bigger, more organized and much better selection.Went in tonight to return two items and there were three employees behind the counter. One folding some garments and two trying to figure out something on a cell phone. No customers, besides me, in the store. I stood at the counter with no one addressing me and finally one employee told the other to wait on me! He did not respond to her and I continued to wait looking at all three of them in disbelief, thinking I was being punked. Still no one helped me. She again demanded the male employee to help me. At that time the oldest of the three employees (maybe the “supervisor” on duty) asked her to please help me bc he was busy doing something on his phone. She did come to assist me along with a big sigh and an eye roll to accompany it. I am bummed by this horrendous service. I have never felt so unwelcome at a store in my life.

Extremely disappointed in the utter lack of common sense and zero customer service from the staff on Oct 23rd. Called ahead, packed up the items, carried them in the store, waited forever for assistance, only to be told NONE of the items were accepted. Makes me never want to come back to this store, where I have been a loyal customer for six years. Destroyed.

Buying here is a good experience. Selling not so much. If you have toys they will find some loosely related item in their list and offer that price, even if its nothing close. I assume they do this for speed, but it seems very arbitrary and unfair to the seller. They say it's based on retail, but expect to be offered pennies on the dollar. Clothes is the only thing I might sell here in the future if I have a lot. Expect to get from 0.50- 3.00/item no matter what it is or what it's worth.

Couldn't be more disappointed with the lack of common sense for the staff at this store. I had two medium size pieces of kid's furniture that I was looking to sell, so I called ahead to ask if I could send a photo and some info to see if this is something they would even be interested in before I loaded everything in my car to drive up. The person on the phone insisted they needed to see it in person and that they do buy furniture. So...I loaded it all up, drove to the store, unloaded everything and upon walking in the store was immediately told they don't buy furniture at this time because the don't have room in the store. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. What a complete waste of time, don't bother trying to deal with them, or expect any use of logic and reason in their decision making or communication to customers.

I'll never understand how they can sell the shoes that they do, and then pick and choose in regards to bedside sleepers, highchairs, ect when to decide to buy. It's all based on who's looking at the item and how they're feeling that day. Immediately when I came in, the employee that looked as of she was 12 was dismissive. I'll drive further to Gambrills or GLEN Burnie to shop/sell.

I have used Once Upon A Child Elliott City for quite a while now. I came in Sunday to exchange clothes but was greeted by a rep who ignored me for a while and then looked behind her at the other reps. I’m thinking I was in the wrong line. She finally speaks to me and says they are no longer accepting clothes. I was shocked…because I saw clothes everywhere being sorted. I questioned her about it and mentioned I did not receive an alert on my phone saying this. She was very abrupt. I asked her name and she told me I’m not giving you that. Another co-worker came by and tried to assist. She stated they stop taking in clothes an hour before closing. I looked at my watch and it was 4:50, so I was there prior but they chose not to accept my clothes. I came back Monday and spoke with a very friendly manager that apologized for the treatment I received, took my clothes in and didn’t seem annoyed with me even though there were more items in-front of her than the rep who was rude to me. I love coming here and haven’t had any issues, So I was surprised at the treatment I received initially but I respect the apology and treatment I received when I returned.
