I am a contractor and own two older vans that needed a paint job. I called around and got quotes in the thousands of dollars range. I decided i wanted to save money and paint my vans myself so looked online for spray paint and found this home depot close to my house that had a lot of inventory. This store also had all the tools i needed such as sandpaper, plastic sheets, etc. I just finished painting my vans and i am more than satisfied with my diy job. The man working at the paint isle also helped direct me to what i needed. Thanks home depot

I couldn't find the item it said that there were more than a dozen in stock. The helpers were courteous and tried to help, this time around, because most of the time, either you don't find anybody to help or they're rude and unhelpful, but even they were unable to find the item I was looking for. I had to buy a more expensive version that was not quite the right fit, though it barely worked for my purposes. In the rental department, no one was there, and after fifteen or 20 minutes of wait and several announcements, I gave up.

Firstly, I had to wait for customer service to finish their conversation with each other before being addressed, only for them to tell me that I needed to wait in line. I couldn’t figure out what they meant because I was the only one in front of the desk who hadn’t been helped yet. It turned out that their line began at a sign that was roughly 30 feet away, which seemed rather absurd. There was one customer waiting there, so walked over and waited my turn. I was so far away that I literally could not hear the clerk call for the next in person in line. I had to be signaled by another customer to let me know that it was my turn. I was there to replace a Husky socket set with the lifetime warranty. The socket wrench head had busted into pieces. I was told that I needed to find the “exact” same model to replace it. My set is 10 years old, so naturally they no longer had the “exact” same set. All of their current sets had pieces that mine did not. I looked it up and they’re supposed to give you the closest equivalent when using the warranty. They weren’t rude, so I give them 2 stars, but ultimately this was a hassle and a waste of time.

I wanted to purchase several hot water heaters and arrange a pickup for the following week. I was told I must order online and my internet was down. Then Tyrone at the service desk swooped in and verified that they had what I needed and arranged everything, took my credit card and set my pick up date and time. All done in 5 minutes. He was very friendly and on point. They need more employees like Tyrone as he saved a sale and made a happy customer.

Great experience last night with Najah in the Appliance department. I walked in needing a refrigerator ASAP and she was able to help me source what they had in stock, the differences, and how to get the best deals. I'll definitely be going tock to work with Najah next time i need any appliances.

Helpful staff that work hard and provide service. I don't remember all their names except for Marc at tool rental. Parking is great.

Been shopping here for 20 years. Always find what I need but I didn't expect to find racist cashiers at the self check out. Why stand by me when I am scanning my items? There were multiple people at the self checkout but Im the only one that needed a babysitter. It was a very weird experience. It's 2023, and we are adults. Do better

One on one service from a knowledgeable staff. It's a lot easier to shop here and the selection is impressive. Really great store. Return policy impressive. I even like the candy choices on the way to cashier.

Nick at the customer service desk at 6:30-6:45pm today is an expert at his job and deserves a raise/ promotion. Very impressive dealing with so many customers at once, literally 3 times as fast as I'm used to seeing.

Went in to buy two sheets of pressure-treated plywood. The app told me that 43 sheets were in stock, and gave me the aisle and bay location. Nothing there. I found someone to ask for help, who pointed me to their lumber guy who took me back to the same location. I pointed to my phone. He got out his phone, poked around for a while, toured the aisle up and down, and then said, "Maybe it's outside." And stood there. I asked, "Where, exactly?" He couldn't answer. Finally, he asked whether I wanted him to look for the plywood. I said, "Yes, please." Fifteen minutes later, he returned to report that he had indeed found the plywood. I asked for two sheets. Another ten minutes transpired, and I finally got what I came for. Meanwhile, I heard requests over the PA for the same person who was helping me. I guess no one else was on duty for the entire lumber section. In the future, I will try the Columbia location for my lumber needs.

Don't expect much assistance. After purchasing a new toilet which weighs over 80 lbs in a large box I asked the cashier if I could get someone to help lift it into my SUV, she said there was help outside. I found a worker near my SUV and asked if he had a minute to help, he said "no, I don't". I ended up hoisting the box myself into the vehicle, my back is still feeling it.

This is poorest experience ever at a Home Depot. This store is filled with associates that basically don't want to assist. I walked up and down the main aisle crossing associates on personal cell phones, having personal conversations hiding behind the rolling ladder, some just strolling intentional on avoiding eye contact. Finally I come across Chase, he walks past me speeding up so that I would not stop him, after the first "excuse me " he ignored I yelled "can you help me please", with obvious annoyance he looked up the item said it was in the front and sent me to the Lead Cashier, and just for his lack of customer service I didn't tell him his fly was open. Not to mention the information was wrong, he just didn't want to help me. The Lead took the time to help me, and called a black bald head bearded gentlemen from plumbing to help, and he arrived and did just that. Walked me back to the sections, discussed my options, and reviewed the DIY installation. Thankful to the both of them, because otherwise I would have left without my thermostat. I will NEVER shop that Home Depot every again. Thoroughly disappointed and utterly dissatisfied.

We needed to get a patio door replaced. Dave at Home Depot was so incredibly helpful. Today we had EW Nelson come out to our home to do the install. They are the contractors subcontracted out by Home Depot. EW Nelson was outstanding and did a beautiful installation of the sliding glass doors. Travis and Adam were the two gentlemen who came out to our home, and they were professional knowledgeable, and simply outstanding! Their customer service was responsive and outstanding, as well. We could not be happier with our installation. Thank you to all!

Beware of their HVAC technicians who want to sell you a new central heating and cooling systems. I fell victim to their unethical service. This happened in June 2023.I was tempted by their service at a Home Depot in Ellicott City, MD, where they signed me up for a 'maintenance' service. The technician showed up and assessed the HVAC systems of my home. His assessment was that my systems need replacements ($15k each). He pushed hard for me to sign up for a sale. So, he passed my information on to a sales people. I received incessant calls to schedule with a salesperson, but I was not convinced of his assessment.Shortly after his visit, my systems stopped working. I called a local HVAC company for service. The other technicians discovered that the systems were intentionally rendered inoperable. The electrical of the heat exchanger of one of the units was disconnected, and the other's coolant cap was left open so the coolant would just escape to a point where no cooling was possible. For what I paid is worth finding out that some ARS technicians are engaging in unethical practices and Home Depot is facilitating them.
