I've been here several times and never had a bad experience. Most recent visit involved only half a pedi--I broke my leg and it's wrapped/booted from toe to thigh, so I thought it'd be nice to have one foot that looked beautiful since the other one is a mess. The additional massage was WELL worth it (plus it was no nice to feel pampered instead of just having my injury to focus on).
I don't normally get manicures, so normally wouldn't comment on those.
BUT
this last time I came with a friend who lives on the other side of the county, so she normally visits a different nail salon, and she got full acrylic nails. The whole drive home she raved about how good her nails looked and how much better a job they did than her normal place. So there's that.

My experience was lovely. Teena made fabulous recommendations for nail colors and products. This salon is so hygienic and very welcome for walk ins. Can't wait to return.

This is now our favorite place and Blue Ocean will have all of our business from now on!
Judy took my daughter last minute on a Friday evening at 6pm after another salon down the road did a horrible job. Judy was so kind and worked my daughter in in-between clients who had appointments. Judy even stayed late to ensure my daughter had beautiful nails. We are so grateful and thankful for Judy’s really great work and for the kindness of her and everyone at Blue Ocean! Thank you all!

Sadly, I am updating my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. I really liked Blue Ocean and had made it my permanent go to for nails. Unfortunately, that was all ruined with my most recent experience. Over the past few months, I have patronized Blue Ocean for my manicures and pedicures, exclusively booking appointments with Judy and Ivy. They both do good work and so I booked both a manicure and pedicure with them last weekend. Toward the middle of my manicure, a customer arrives and is seated a couple stations down from me. She is being serviced by another tech and begins to complain that her tips aren’t laying the way she would like them to. My tech then quietly tells me that she will need to suspend my manicure and send me to the back for my pedicure early so that she can attend to this woman because “she is picky.” She states that she will finish my manicure after the pedicure. Mind you, this customer does not have an appointment with my tech. I looked rather inquisitively at my tech and informed her that I have some place to be and that we have at least 30 minutes until my pedicure appointment. Perhaps she thought better of it and ends up telling me that she will finish my manicure but then pulls the tech (Ivy) who I was scheduled to see for my pedicure to attend to this woman. I didn’t initially mind as I was told it would only be a few minutes. I try to be accommodating, probably even when I don’t need to be. Well, almost 30 minutes passed, after my appointment time, before the tech finally arrived to start my pedicure. However, by that time, I had to leave because I wouldn’t have enough time for the pedicure, given my husband had dinner plans. Needless to say, I was quite frustrated that they decided to hijack my appointment to service someone else that they obviously deemed more important. The tech offered to give me a quick pedicure and to even let someone else do the service. That would have been fine and appropriate if I were a walk-in, didn’t have an appointment or some unavoidable situation came up. None of that was the case here. I had an appointment with a selected tech that they just blew through to attend to someone else, who didn’t have an appointment with my techs and certainly not during the time of my appointments. To make it worse, I receive a text from one of the techs that evening apologizing again for the long wait and stating that they were “all scared of this woman.” Literally her words. I guess that was supposed to justify the way they handled the situation. But it was completely inappropriate. Needless to say, I have no intentions of ever returning to Blue Ocean nor would I recommend patronizing them. They do decent work but their customer service failed miserably here, at least for me. Whomever this woman was, I hope she was worth losing a customer over.

Waited longer than I should have getting in despite making an appointment. Extremely poor communication - kept getting pushed to do things I did not want. Customer requests are treated like an annoyance. Mediocre work - not the worst I’ve ever had, but had to point out obvious mistakes for anything to be done about them. But now that I’m looking closer, there are a good amount of fuzzy fibers trapped under the nail polish. Great. Also, you get completely abandoned after starting to use the fan at the end. No “thank you” or anything while you walk out, just silent blank stares. Not really how you should treat customers. Just overall felt stressful being in there and couldn’t wait to finally go home. Literally have no idea how this place is so highly rated, it’s actually a joke. Can’t say I recommend. Definitely do not want to come back.

If I could this salon give zero stars, I would. This was by far the WORST service I have ever had in my entire life, to the point where I did not continue with the manicure after my pedicure was done. I have been getting my nails done since I was a very little girl and this was by far the worst of the worst. Tanya was the technician who did my nails and the quality was just awful. From putting me in the wrong room when I had booked the VIP room, to not listening to my requests of cutting my toe nails shorter with a clipper rather than a file, to using her own fingernail to scrape polish off my skin rather than a tool, it was just horrible. I booked the hot stone pedicure and the stones were BURNING my skin. I told Tanya they were really really hot, so she completely ignores me and holds my feet down hard on them - OUCH. My nails were not shaped evenly. It truly did not look like I got them professionally done. I kindly called and asked for a refund and was told by one person I would get a refund (after uncomfortably pressuring me to give the salon another chance), and then the next person tells me that I would not get the refund that was already promised to me. I hate to leave bad reviews but this needs to be shared. In addition, the salon smells of underlying cigarette smoke. Not only did I immediately go to another salon to remove my polish properly, I had to also shower immediately upon coming home to get the smell off of me. 0/10 I would never recommend! Stay away!!!!!

There is literally no words for how horrible they did my eyelashes I asked for clusters. They didn’t have the length I wanted then they pretended they found the length I wanted and ended up doing individuals. I don’t get individual eyelash extensions for a reason two minutes after getting them done lashes were already falling out Now my lashes look only 12 hours later like I didn’t get them done and they’re almost all out all over the ground in my hotel and all over the sink counter. It’s not that serious to be money hungry when somebody wants something done a certain way do it correctly , they gave me a $10 discount when at the end of the day I wouldn’t have paid a penny for these

I recently visited this salon with a friend for a gel manicure and pedicure appointment at 5:30 PM. Despite the busy atmosphere, we were promptly attended to by skilled nail artists. My gel manicure was flawless, and my friend was equally satisfied with her gel pedicure. The pricing was fair, with my manicure costing $40 and her pedicure $60 before tips. The vibe in the salon was clean and hygienic, which was reassuring. However, it was on the louder side, and the space felt a bit cramped, making it less relaxing than expected. Additionally, while we appreciated the option to tip, it would be more convenient if they allowed tipping directly on the card rather than through Venmo. Not everyone has the same card linked to their Venmo account, which caused a bit of inconvenience. Overall, great service, but a smoother tipping process and a quieter ambiance would enhance the experience.

Literally one of the best pedicures you can find. We'll worth it.
