I recently visited Banfield Pet Hospital in Ellicott City, MD, with my dog Luna, who had developed a concerning limp. The team at Banfield was exceptionally attentive and proactive in addressing her health needs. They embarked on a comprehensive approach to manage Luna’s condition, prioritizing her weight management to prevent the need for surgery.Their in-house dietician was instrumental in devising a tailored diet plan for Luna, which has shown promising results. They also conducted an array of tests to uncover any underlying issues contributing to her weight gain, ensuring a holistic view of her health was considered.What impressed me most was how all these extensive services were covered under their pet health plan. This offered us immense relief, both in terms of Luna’s health management and financially, as it resulted in minimal out-of-pocket expenses for us.The dedication and expertise of the Banfield team in Ellicott City have been evident throughout our journey with them. Their comprehensive care approach and affordable health plans have far exceeded my expectations, providing peace of mind and tangible health benefits for Luna.

Ok, haven’t received care here yet but plan to switch to this place after a great phone call with front desk staff, Elliot. He was so nice, helpful, and understanding and tried to get me an appointment with them, but unfortunately it didn’t work as I have some driving limitations at the moment. However, he referred me to an urgent care nearby to get my baby kitty looked at and treated for worms since she’s not eating normally and vomiting a lot. My own vet couldn’t even do that for me. I plan to switch to Banfield Ellicott City after talking to him and the awesome support and advice he gave! Thanks Elliot!

I have always had a great experience at this location. We’ve been to various Banfields throughout multiple states over 12 years, and this one is probably my favorite! The staff is friendly and always works hard to help solve an issue, the front desk staff (in particular Elliott!) is so nice and always remembers customers and their pets, and the doctors in the back always work to squeeze me in if I have an issue with my older dog. Everyone here seems to really care!

The Ellicott City Banfield is not connected to PetSmart, so lacks a bit of convienence there but they do have great service. And because it's in a bit more of an obscure location they tend to have more openings for appointments.

I have 2 rescue dogs and trust Banfield for their health care. I've been impressed with their attention to detail and thorough evaluation of my pups overall health.

I went here for my cat for the first time. They didn't know what the real problem is, and just gave expensive and unhelpful medicine. Beware that they will not exam your cat without Rabies documents. The fee for the shot from them is too expensive. I did not bring it mistakely and paid the extra fee. The medicine they prescribed did not work at all, and she's getting worse. I had to go to another vet, and they were much helpful. I waste money and time, and i gave a stress to my cat. They charged unnecessary things on the bill. I feel like they only care about the money, not for my pet. Never go back again, and do not recommend it at all.

This has been by far my best experience at a Banfield Hospital. However, regardless all locations I have interacted with are friendly, helpful, and quick to assist.

I am sad to say that this is no longer a recommendation or a highly regarded practice for my puppy Lucy. I went there today to get help about why my puppy is not having frequent bowel movements. The first time I had this issue, they refused to see my dog and told me to go to the Vet ER to rule out a possible obstruction. I followed up with them a week later only for them to tell me that she is constipated with NO RECOMMENDATIONS. And the nurse told me "she looks fine, I wouldn't worry". I asked for a DVM to assess her and they declined. Additionally, the front desk said they would leave a message for the DVM [while I was in the clinic] yet I did not get a call back.What is the point of a Vet Primary Care if there is no responsibility to provide basic quality care? How do you dismiss a pet without seeing them while they are in the clinic? It was a waste of my time and money, and unfortunately, they weren't helpful in a time of need. Please do not pay the membership for this company, it is a waste.

Love this location and all the Dr's there. Dr Brauning is especially awesome with my somewhat spicy dog! The great experience starts at the front desk with Gloria and carries on through the hospital with everyone else.

1st time there… fast and courteous service and really sweet staff many appointments left to go so I will update if anything changes but first impressions went well

Been coming here for 7 years. For 6 of those years it was with 2 dogs. I won't be back. Scheduling has been awful the last 2 years. Everything that is available is always 2 weeks out and God forbid we have something more serious than a check up our dog can't be seen. The front office staff is incompetent and very rude. When we do have a scheduled appointment they always call and try and move us. We should have switched vets a long time ago with we finally got a vetinarian we liked and spent time explaining things to us would leave.

Been taking my dogs here for 4 years. After today I definitely won’t be back. My dog had an appointment scheduled for 1145 and wasn’t seen until 1215. On top of that I get there and they tell me that she needs Benadryl. I asked why didn’t someone bring that up when they called to remind me about her appointment the day before he looked at me and didn’t have anything to say. They said it was $30. At first I agreed and then told them not too, and they still gave it to my dog anyways. After waiting outside for my dog for almost a hour no one ever called to tell me she was ready. And the lady Alexandria said we still charged you for the Benadryl it was took late when you called back. Oh and then the lady tried to argue me down about how I didn’t call back soon enough even though I called them as soon as I walked out the door.
