I regularly take our family’s vehicles to the MIDAS Shop in Ellicott City (MD) for a needed oil/filter change. I do so, because each time I find the need to make an appointment, I’m appreciative and impressed with the professionalism and welcoming demeanor of the management and employees.
A shout out to store manager “Dana,” as well as “Scott,” who took my initial call, scheduled the work, and processed payment. Both are welcoming, courteous, and friendly to their customers, but then so are the remaining employees with whom I’ve interacted while one of our vehicles was being serviced.
In a recent visit, I no sooner left our Lexus SC430 off at the shop, walked to our home nearby, when I received a call from the store manager, saying the vehicle was ready. I find the staff to be honest and dependable. The level of their work is always one of quality, and the work performed is done in a timely manner.
Given the seemingly poor performance of many companies today, it is a unique pleasure to do business with an auto service company that looks out for your vehicle and your best interest, a company that, in my view, has been unfailingly reliable, prompt, and fair.
These are great people, and I highly recommend Ellicott City MIDAS to anyone looking for excellent service, fairness, and efficiency.”

“Let me start by saying I'm a research nerd, and I take all reviews with a grain of salt. However, in Hany's case, all of the 5-star feedback you see is legit and well-deserved.
Hany is a hidden gem among mechanics because not only is he skilled in his field, he's a very honest and kind human being. I'm a car guy, so I can spot a fellow enthusiast a mile away. Hany knows what he is doing, and he enjoys it.
I had the pleasure to work with Hany on my BMW post-warranty for a brake fluid change and rear sway bar upgrade. He went over the labor and cost for my inquiry (very fair btw - better than neighboring Indy shops), and we coordinated a time/date a few days later. He arrived on time to work on my vehicle, completed the work much faster than anticipated, and charged exactly what he quoted me. We then took my vehicle for a test-drive to test everything, and I was 100% satisfied and happy with the end result.
Lastly, this is from my own experience when reaching out to Hany for the first time:
1) If he doesn't answer your phone calls, give him the benefit of the doubt; it's out of respect for the current job he is working on. He is not ignoring you.
2) Send him a detailed text or voicemail of your inquiry. He will get back to you.

Update 1:
Hany did such a great job on my rear sway bar upgrade that I decided to opt for the more invasive 5-hour front sway bar upgrade on my BMW; he had to remove my front bumper and wheels to gain access to the front sway bar. I cannot say enough about Hany's skills. The man truly understands his craft, and my vehicle handles like a dream now with zero body roll thanks to the front and rear sway bar combo. Thanks again, Hany!”

“Gerber Collision was recommended after a rear-end collision. The front office staff was friendly. Ian, the estimator, was friendly and personable. We both have Sonatas and chatted a bit about how much we like them. He looked over my car with me and even pointed out damage that I did not catch at first. He also informed me that the insurance company may cover a new car seat since mine was in the car at the time of the accident. He kept me updated throughout the entire process.
Communication/status is tracked via text message where you are sent a link to track the repair process. Repair and paint was quick. I dropped my car off on the 30th and it was ready by the 8th. It probably would have been quicker than that if one of the parts was not sent to them in error.
If I am ever in need of a repair shop again, Gerber Collision will be my go to shop!”
“Gerber Collision off of Balto National Pike has tremendous customer service. Several years ago, they did a great job with the body work on my Acura. Just yesterday, I stopped by for an assessment of damage to my new car. Kim, the General Manager, spent a good bit of time walking through options for me to save money and keep from filing an insurance claim. She had her team buff paint to my front quarter panel and bumper at no charge! The work looks great and it saved me thousands. I highly recommend Gerber to everyone I know.”

“I’ve been to this location several times after having stopped going to the Liberty Road location. I recall giving liberty road 5 ⭐️. They quickly declined when they changed their manager. This location is polite and have done acceptable work. The very first time I went to this location they thoroughly screwed up the spelling of my first name in their system as Chirsea instead of Christina. I have no accent so I don’t understand how that happens. I’ve mentioned it each time I’ve gone and it was just corrected this time by Josh due to me reminding them again upon arrival for my appointment. Bonus, Fred always looks up and automatically gives the appropriate coupon discounts. Only negative I have is the fact that they don’t have the customers sign off on any work they do before ACTUALLY doing the service, regardless of the price change. They just let you know verbally.”

I was there for a warranty tire repair/replacement she contacted the warranty company and followed their instructions ( very time consuming) and was able to get my tire replaced and then she gave the key for my car to her mech then her mechanic did a superb job changing the tire. She then checked everything underneath the car and showed me what service was needed... Both Ladies were very pleasant and professional...my hats off to them both.. I highly recommend this place to anyone needing car services.”

“This is the Mobile gas station that is in the same parking lot as 7-ELEVEN, that I posted prior to this post. Directions remain the same. Every time I've been to this 7-ELEVEN, the Mobile gas is usually being used, but it's busy, but certainly has enough pumps to handle the amount of people that show up for gas.”

“Quick, honest service. Went in for tire plug, had nail in tire. They said they’d plug it for $20. As a walk in, they jacked up my car and pulled the nail right away. Turned out to be a shallow tack (couldn’t tell from nail head). They sprayed the tire to make sure it held air. No leak. No charge. In and out in 2-minutes. Thanks again.”
