100 Big Elk Mall, Elkton“It was a pleasure working with Shamira from the Elkton Mall Branch after having a bad experience (Less than 1 star if I was rating the North East branch).Shamira fit us in on a Saturday since my mother was visiting from out of town and had to head home. We had tried to get into the North East Branch early Friday and despite no one in the lobby, 4 tellers with no one at the counter, no one in the drive through and one employee in an office working with a customer, none of the employees could assist with opening a savings account except the lone employee in the office working with the only customer in the branch and that employee was supposedly booked for the rest of the day and Saturday also.When we called the PNC at the mall in Elkton, we were lucky to speak to Shamira who squeezed us in on Saturday so my Mom could get back home since she was already delayed a day. She greeted us the next day at 10am with genuine kindness and was very helpful and made sure she knew exactly what my Mom was wanting and helped us get things setup. We did run into some system issues; however, Shamira calmly suggested options where my Mom could still head home and I came back on Monday and finished setting the account up.PNC needs more Shamira's at their other branches or they need her to Train customer service to their cashiers. I know that there are different roles that people hold; however, when staffing a branch, there should be more emphasis on cross-training employees or staffing appropriately (especially on a Friday) for potential walk in's needing services that result in long term business for the branch so they aren't turned away and there is potential for lost business.If it was my choice, I would have chosen a different bank; however, my Mom does business with PNC back home in Pennsylvania and wanted to try another branch.Because of Shamira, I am glad my mom suggested we try another branch.”
“This particular branch is amazing. I went the Elkton branch because my card had been hacked.I went to the Elkton branch for a new card.Marquise a,client service professional was condescending and rude.He insisted that I had to pay overdraft fees from the hack on that account and new debt cards fee before I could get a new card. I've had the same issue before an had no problem getting a new card.I went right into the Northeast location and was immediately helped by the kindest associate. I dont know what wrong with the Elkton branch but you guys are killing it. Great job!”
