We called and ordered two 2”x8”x16’ boards. Made a point to ask for straight boards because we were building a beam. Paid a friend to pickup the boards with his trailer the next day. Went to construct the beam today and the boards were trash. Completely twisted and unusable. Plus they were full of staples so I know they just grabbed the end boards on the stack. I made a point to pay a little extra and buy from AH&H because the big box stores have terrible lumber. I’ll never shop here again. High prices and trash product.

I was looking for a few specific items, the staff there took me directly to what I was looking for, I chatted with them about the project I was working on, and they agreed with my technique. Awesome people.

Needed a special key cut that home Depot and Lowe's could not do. They still had the order machines that could do it ,very helpful staff.

I stopped at the Elkton store today 6/20/2022 looking to buy an outdoor faucet replacement. As I was walking through the store I found fire bricks, the sign said $6.99 for a six pack. The young lady ringing me up had difficulties scanning the fire bricks because they were not coming up on the register so she turned to the older lady next to her and asked her for help. The older lady said they were $6.99 per brick to which I said "no, the sign says $6.99 for a six pack" as seen on the photo attached. The older lady elevated her voice and replied "it says each, the sign says each". "I must be blind because I cannot see the word each, I only see 6-pack, can you show me where it says each?", I asked. When she couldn't find it, she dismissed it and said "Well, they're $6.99 each". I commented "Isn't this false advertising then?". The older lady, clearly getting angry said "Is that where you wanna go? Call the police then" and proceeded to call the manager. The manager explained a employee made an error and mislabeled it. I get that, so I asked "Because of your store error, can you honor the printed price for your customer?", to which he replied laughing "Absolutely not!", took the box of bricks and as he started to walk away I asked him "Isn't this false advertising? Shouldn't this be reported?" What he said next is what made me decide writing this review and contact the Better Business Bureau: "Do what you want, see where that gets you" all while smiling, and walked away. I did not catch his name, but captured the 2 ladies ringing me before I left. Now, I get it an employee "may" have "mistakenly" mislabel the item. I get that. But the way I was treated as a paying customer for calling up their error is unacceptable. It was rude and unprofessional. People here seem to have forgotten we, the customers, make their paycheck possible. Any other trained manager would have known how to de-escalate a situation like this one, own up to their error and make things right. Now I cannot stop thinking about how many other customers ended up paying more than they thought of for other items that were also "mistakenly" mislabel, but didn't notice. Needless to say I will not be supporting this store in the future and will make sure to let others know of my experience here so they can decide if they want to shop here or not by placing reviews in places like Facebook, Google, etc along with a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau and a letter to the company's CEO. If you also have a complaint, I encourage you fill one out here:

Horrible experience ordering a custom door. Outside door was ordered so door swung out instead of in. Associate was not knowledgeable nor did he explain this to me and ordered it anyway. I had to pay 500.00 to get this fixed. I will never use this store again or refer any family members to them for any home improvements. Stick with Lowe’s or Home Depot!
