Would love to know the reasoning to have every department of this chain open and running, including gas and tires, on a Sunday EXCEPT the pharmacy. I cannot conceptualize a valid reason. You might as well have the entire warehouse open except for the bakery. It’s a poorly organized operation and detrimentally inconvenient for those with limited schedules.

Waited 3 days and for me to drive 30 minutes away from home to tell me they don't have the vaccine I made a appointment for.. honestly.

Even though the lines are always long when I've been here they get through them pretty quickly, good management system! I went with a friend this weekend so she could return some large furniture items and the process was quick and easy.

Food court at Costco Elkridge, MD is horrible. Today(04/01/24) I ordered 4 Turkey sandwiches and after 25 minutes wait, they informed me that the patties are frozen and I can take those frozen patties and make my own sandwiches home or I can get the refund which took another 10 minutes. So I returned home with the refund after 30+ minutes waiting at you beautiful food court. I understand food can ran out, but what I don't understand how it took 25 minutes for them to figure out that they don't have the main ingredients of the sandwich. Costco, I know its hard to believe but food service and customer service can go hand in hand. Please send your food employees to the Chick-Fil-A to observe how that is possible. Maybe eventually they'll learn something. Your food court customer service is below than any Third world country. Trust me, I know cause I was born in one! Your food court employee can say Hi/Hello or smile little & that can go far. Otherwise Please replace your human Robot with Tesla Robot(they don't smile either) and that can save you money in the long run.

This Costco has gone down the drain. They reduce the selection of their products. Their regular sell moldy and rotten veggies and fruits. Plus the crowd is real rough and non civil. It's become unpleasant to shop in this store.

I love the Costco pharmacy! If you rely on medication, consider switching to Costco's pharmacy instead of other chain pharmacies (even some 24-hour ones). The staff is professional, helpful, and saved me a lot of stress. While they aren't open 24 hours, their service makes it worth it. I once desperately needed a refill and sent my prescription to a 24-hour pharmacy 18 minutes away. Their confusing messages caused a week of frustration, involving multiple trips and wasted hold time with my doctor and insurance.Exhausted, I sent the prescription to Costco (my usual pharmacy). They filled it immediately! Even when they encountered the same "already filled" message (from the other pharmacy), they cleared it up efficiently.Costco also sends renewal reminders and refills prescriptions quickly. The difference compared to the 24-hour chain was remarkable. The pharmacists have even called me directly or found me in the store to help with prescriptions. They often take the initiative to contact insurance and doctors, ensuring smooth refills. Their customer service is truly exceptional.I

If I could give negative stars I would. I have been a long-time Costco member, but this location is atrocious. Terrible location to get to and park. Inside the store is a madhouse. The staff are the rudest I've ever come across and constantly ask for your Costco card and photo ID. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

I like Costco. This location is most convenient for me and it is fine. But a couple of things make me "shake my head," and I wish they would change it. There is a door marked Entrance and door marked Exit. You make your way to the door that says entrance and once you're there, you have to cross over the crowd of people leaving to get to the baskets that are all located on the exit side. Why?! Then once you have it, you then have to cross back over the exiting crowds just to get back to the entrance. Why not put the baskets next to the entrance? Who has the right away in this case? The other frustrating thing is the self checkout. Each station does not have its own scanner gun. Why?! There are staff there to assist, but they are not always helpful. The other night I asked if the person could scan my Gatorade, so I would not have to take it out of the cart. She was only standing there doing nothing anyway. She came over, scanned the Gatorade, and left to go stand somewhere else and not help anyone. That may be the first time that the staff didn't scan my entire basket. She was already there, so why not scan my entire basket. But again, why not have my own scanner so I don't have to take everything out of the basket just to put it back in the basket. It takes so much longer. Not very efficient, and certainly less efficient when staff are just standing around doing nothing.

Staff was doing an excellent job directing everyone this holiday season, except for our cashier Steve. He was incredibly rude to myself and my partner and did not want to do our orders in separate transaction. When asked to do so he sighed as if the world was ending. My order had to be separate because I was turning the receipt in for work reimbursement. He also told me to "get on the other side" and I was helping to unload our cart on the belt. I do NOT appreciate being spoken to like this from a man. Will be thinking twice before returning here.

Came to this location for a regular weekly run & noticed some of the holiday sale items like to share with you all. These are greatly discounted items. I'd also like to mention, Throughout the years, I noticed this location tends to have some of the items many Frederick, Arundel Mills or other nearby locations don't carry. So in case if you are looking for anything particular and couldn't find elsewhere, do check out here.

I had no reason to be in this area, but since I was I figured a Costco run was a thing I needed to do. I really didn't need anything, and I feel like me having a membership is more of like a security blanket at this point. Getting here is a bit of a nightmare. Which doesn't really vary much from other Costco locations. It's just a headache and slow moving. Then you have to fight through the line of vehicles wanting gas and attempt to find a parking space. Once inside it is like a slow moving river to enter and be pushed further and further into the store. I don't know about anyone else, but I like to start out slow and look over the items. But as I go further into the store I want to make it through here as if I am running a marathon. Like my anxiety shot through the roof and I need to get out of here. I always seem to find myself with such random things in my cart at this point and don't care with the rhyme or reason for it. I just want out. Then the nightmare continues with the never ending lines.

My fiancé was racially profiled at this location by two non-Black Costco attendees during his shopping experience during the morning weekday shift on October 16, 2023.

If you're thinking about getting a Costco membership, don't. I've been to this location several times now and each time I further regret my husband's decision to go with Costco instead of Sam's Club. They ask to see your membership card every five feet. So this time when I went in, I put it in a badge holder because I'm a smart ass (I thought I was funny). Anyways I don't understand why they need to see your card multiple times throughout the store. This location is super crowded all the time. The line is always backed up making it hard to maneuver through aisles. The self-checkout lane isn't actually self-checkout. Someone is there to scan your items and check your membership card for the 100th time. If you want to be treated like a criminal, this is the place to go.

I would avoid this costco during the weekend like a plague. So overly crowded -- I lived in the area and when after a few years I went back and the number of patrons just "increased exponentially". Good for Costco, bad for customers because there's no process to streamline the line to pay. Still trying out if weekday after work is better, but the weekend is certainly a no no, just this weekend, the line reached as far as the back end of the store :(

Typical Costco when it comes to the grocery. Staff are fine and they are pretty efficient. The hot food side is a nightmare though you routinely wait 10 minutes to get anything, and a 30 minute wait is not uncommon. Goodness knows what management are doing, because you NEVER see a supervisor. I've worked in kitchens for a decade, this is by far the worst I've come across.
