As a 15 year old, this gym is great. Price is a little over the top for me, but it can be managed with the money I earn. All the equipment is clean after every use and the equipment is in perfect condition, no need for any of them to be fixed. If you go there, there is at least one machine that targets what you need. Back? Yes. Biceps? Yes. Triceps? Yes. You get the idea.

Joined a few weeks ago and have not been thrilled. It can be quite crowded and a lot of the equipment is old and rusted. Classes seem decent and probably the best part of the membership and the only reason I’m not giving this gym one star. You get two free personal training sessions supposedly upon joining. My previous gym I had a wonderful personal trainer and it’s something I’m honestly looking for again. As someone bouncing back from an injury, personal training helps keep me motivated and excited about getting active again. However, it isn’t something it seems this gym can realistically provide. First training session I booked on a Friday for the upcoming Monday at 7 am. I had to pack my gym bag and all work/shower items to get ready for work at the gym so I could complete this session. The trainer messaged me at 8:30 pm the evening prior that she accidentally double booked. I didn’t even originally get an apology for the mishap. Second trainer I booked I took time out of my day to come in and explain what I wanted, sign the waiver. We scheduled a session a few days later for a Saturday at 11 am. 7:30 am that Saturday he informs me he needs to reschedule. All in all, extremely poor customer service and unprofessional. Canceling a session so last minute is extremely rude and it seems something that is done on the regular at this facility. The environment at the gym along with the lack of accessibility of a personal trainer has killed my motivation to attend this gym. I’m glad it’s a month to month membership as I think I’ll be canceling and searching for better options.

Machines are old, very old, often don't work. How can my heart rate be 101 from.the beginning to the end of an hour's hard workout?I stay because it's convenient. Otherwise I'd be goneThree years later: I did quit, but because I’d Covid. But now I’m back! So much improved! Some new equipment, lots of creature comforts, like a comfortable lounge. So I’m changing my 2-star review to a 4-star review!

I love this local gym you go in there and you’re pretty much know most of the people that are working out because they’re all out from the local community. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about all the equipment. It’s rarely too busy and never really dead either. It’s a good mix of customers and lots of high end equipment. Now, if I could only get there more often, I will be doing much better for myself.

Bad costumer service, people at the front desk are rude and don't acknowledge your presence. It is also hard to find a good time to go and workout since it is always crowded

I was a member several years ago. It was always clean and welcoming. I would like to go back but it's just out of my budget and it's only benefit is being closer to home.

I move a lot and have been a member of many gyms. This is definitely one of them.Good: The people who work here are friendly and not annoyed when you go up and talk to them and there is no forced fake cheerful greetings. A wide range of people go to the gym here and most of them are not obnoxious. Music is an appropriate volume and doesn't bleed through my headphones. There is a wide variety of equipment and plenty of cardio machines. I have not tried one of the classes yet but there is a good variety available. Not so good: A decent amount of the equipment, especially the plates and benches, is old and rusted. Plates are extremely disorganized and a bunch seem to be missing. Some of the cardio equipment is very old and doesn't work quite right, and the belts on some of the treadmills are slick and slippery. Hours are geared toward the o dark hundred morning workout crowd and it closes at 6pm on weekends. Drain flies in the showers, especially this time of year, indicate plumbing and humidity/mold issues. The cardio area could use more fans. There is no Wi-Fi.Verdict: $50/month for this place is too steep, even with the classes. At my last gym that was downtown in a major west coast city I was paying $37/mo and there was everything this gym has plus a sauna, hot tub, 2-lane lap pool and Wi-Fi and the equipment was in better shape.Edgewater Fitness is still better than a Planet Fitness at least.Edit: Changing to 1 star because the leg press broke on me this morning. Turns out the staff knew it was broken but there was no signage indicating that, it is supposedly just common knowledge not to use it. Fortunately other people working out helped deload the weights while I held it up and held it back from slamming down on me while I got off. Utterly ridiculous.

I enjoy the staff and atmosphere of Edgewater Fitness. It is only 5 minutes from my home so it is very convienant too. Monthly fee is not bad either. Highly recommended.

Very affordable gym (~$50/month). Lots of equipment and gym classes included in membership. I particularly like that they have a women’s area outside of the locker room with areas to stretch and do some circuits with a little more privacy. Clean showers, friendly staff.

This club has worn out equipment and cardio machines that are routinely broken. Water in locker rooms is often off for maintenance. Very few (i.e., none) amenities at this club. If you join and regret your decision, you will be charged an extra two months dues after canceling. Not worth your money since there are other, and much better, options in the local area.

I have been training with Mike Sullivan for over two years. When I started, I had little shoulder flexibility due to a previous dislocation. Mike’s coaching and thorough understanding of the problem allowed him to continue to have me work with different equipment and do different exercises that have resulted in me now being able to complete full sets of over head movement! That may sound trivial to some, but I have not had full range of movement for decades. I can now also complete my entire workout without shoulder pain. Mike is exceptional!
