I cannot get ahold of my daughters dr through email or phone despite the fact that I let them know she had seizures after starting the meds. This has been on going since last month. Multiple attempts at contact have failed.

Atrocious - mental health care is not their priority. My daughter’s calls to find out what she needed to do for med refills went unanswered. Her requests through the portal, unanswered. Totally unacceptable. If you can’t answer people, help and guide them with what they need to do, you shouldn’t be practicing at all.

Excellent substance use and behavioral health facility. The staff here cares and their expertise is inspiring.

They used to be good, but since the pandemic the turnover rate has been ridiculous. On top of this, in the middle of August last year, the therapist I was seeing, Lynn Bass, ended up cancelling our final appointment without setting me up with a new therapist, and I had to wait until January of this year before I was able to see a new one, and even then the scheduling has been inconsistent, to the point that I was without therapy for all of February and ended up dealing with withdrawal symptoms from not being able to take all of my meds until around the last third of the month. On top of this, I had some paperwork I needed to send to my attorney, and I ended up experiencing a number of issues, such as the fax machine being "broken" when I gave them the paperwork, then when they claimed (multiple times) that it was "fixed" and that they'd sent it into him, I was told that they hadn't. When I went in today to receive the paperwork from them, I was told that someone who wasn't in the office (was told their name was Valerie) had it, and that apparently she's also the only one who knows how to use the fax machine. I am highly skeptical of much of this information, but that doesn't change the fact that their assistance within the last six months has, in a best-case scenario, been apathetic and negligent and, in the worst-case scenario, been active hindrance. I would like to believe that a good, positive mental health institute exists in the area. This might've at one point been that place...but it isn't now.

Been with them several times in the past 10 years out of necessity. All clinical staff are overworked but try. Clerical staff are generally inferior in personality and performance. Was told in November 2022 by my therapist that they have a grant and that I didn't need a co-pay. This place is notorious in the reviews for surprise billing. Been with them 5 months this time and no bill yet. We'll see. The 2 stars are for overworked clinical staff. Would have been 4 stars but you have you have to rate the company as a whole, so... 2 stars... barely. (UPDATE) 1 day after I posted this review I called them to check on the grant / co-pay thing. It seems that the grant only covers if you go throught their crisis number / department. After that you will, without being told in advance, be billed once you see a doctor and or do a treatment plan. Word to the wise... don't fall for these 4/5-star reviews with no comments or a Google Guide's reviews, they are obiously fake and/or lying. Believe the 1 star reviews and find some place else for treatment ASAP. This place is the worst. Worst than the old Baltimore Behavioral Health and that really is bad.

Once you're in with a therapist, you're pretty solid. But getting through to the front desk (for scheduling) is maddening. Each time I call, I sit on hold for 5-10 minutes, it rings twice, and then goes straight to voicemail. I think I've only ever gotten through to an actual human via phone once or twice.

This organization requires you to jump through several hurdles to even be seen. Filling out multiple pages of questionnaires, uploading insurance information, and creating online accounts. Only then do they tell you that as a new patient you must walk in and wait to be seen without an appointment for god knows how long. What a shame. Your time is obviously not valued by them. If you have a job and a family, put that all on hold and wait to be seen sometime between the hours of 9am and 9pm. I would think twice before wasting hours jumping through hoops for them and seek out a therapist who will give you the basic common courtesy of having an appointment time.

I want to give a huge thank you to Michelle Macey. I saw her when I was first diagnosed in 2014, and she thought to test me for MTHFR. It turns out I was compound heterozygous (the worst kind), and I started supplementing with folinic acid. Now it has been 8 years, and I am only getting better and better. I still take a low dose of my abilify, but finding that out was soo important to my well being. Thank you Michelle!!

I can see how this organization would benefit many people, especially the deaf program and art program, and the journaling classes. However, they really need to study in-depth more about the vast specialties and varieties of mental health out there. Such as depression, Bipolar, and Autism / Aspergers. Maybe have increased training for staff?****Maybe having a quiet room or two would be beneficial for those who have sensitivity issues with noise, bright lights and crowds. It is overwhelming for someone on the Autism spectrum (Aspergers), such as myself though. They should also think of ways to retain staff, I've noticed that the staff has a high turnover rate. This organization is definitely needed for this area, but for some improvements. Maybe offer high school classes / refresher education classes, and life-skills classes, like real-life meal-prep and budgeting for apartment-living, all to be an independent adult.

Getting my daughter enrolled was a little tricky due to staff not answering the phone for a while but after we got past that everything is fine so far. I also like that there is a separate door for children so they do not have to walk through the main building past some of the "troubled" adults.

The Counselors are great! But after the Pandemic the support staff is just not what it once was. Its horrible. Its awful that this is the only real option here. It's so sad how they have absolutely no compassion or grasp of how their work impacts the local community. Making an 8 year old with Autism wait two weeks for a med refill until he ran out of medication over a Holiday Weekend and still has not returned a call for a med refill. The only way to get anything done is to drive to the office and speak with a manager. The support staff is useless.

Absolutely the worst! I see a prescriber amd a Therapist at Arundel Lodge for PTSD and anxiety in general. They prescribe low dose Xanax for me each month, only a two week supply to take as needed. Well my Dad flat lined two weeks ago, the hospital did CPR and brought them back.He has been in a coma since and has extensive brain damage. We Extubated him yesterday. So I am a nervous wreck. I am out of meds because I have actually had to use them. Have 9 days till a refill and they told me that they could not help me. So insensitive and cold! Luckily my primary Doctor is more compassionate and helped me out with a similar medication. I will not be using Arundel Lodge anymore! I would never recommend them to anyone! Don’t do it to yourself!!! They are suppose to be there to help but leave you stranded in an emergency situation!!!I wasn’t even asked if I had suicidal thoughts, or offered an emergency therapy appointment either. I was treated as an addict, when I actually have a mental health condition. Watching a parent die leaves you completely heartbroken. Even a person without my condition needs help through a time like this! There are other alternatives besides writing a prescription but I was offered nothing
