Our families have been customers of Annapolis Yacht Sales for over ten years – through the purchase of two boats. We have always been impressed and thankful for the AYS team’s dedication to customers and attention to detail through the entire process. From sales and admin, to riggers, installers, and fabricators, working with AYS has been a pleasure. They bring to the table deep expertise in the boating industry along with a genuine willingness to understand customer needs, adapt to those needs, and just get things done so owners can do what they are itching to: get the sails up!
A recent example that exhibits AYS’ service-oriented approach relates to something that seems simple but can be frustrating: the USCG Documentation process. The Coast Guard does a lot with a little. So, after submitting our application we weren't surprised to wait months to get our Certificate of Documentation. But it was disheartening to finally instead get a deficiency notice due to one missing piece of info AND to learn we’d then have to go back to the end of the line. AYS didn’t handle the original submission for us (we did it ourselves), but not only did they step in to get the CG what they needed, they also worked some magic to get the process expedited. A bit over a week later: done, we had our COD in hand.

I recently purchased a brokered boat, which is far from a yacht, but my experience was fantastic nonetheless. The salesman (Matt) was prompt, helpful, and went above and beyond what I expected. I live 5 hours away, which made Matt's contribution all the more helpful. One small example, of which there were several, concerned the trailer electrical adapter. Matt was ready with the adapter he guessed I would need, which made the process as seamless as possible. He then joined me in some horribly uncomfortable weather for my sea trial, taking all the time I needed to become comfortable and acquainted with the boat. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Annapolis Yacht Sales to anyone looking for a boat

My wife and I purchased the Cruisers 338 Bowrider and took delivery in April 2018. The boat has exceeded our expectations. She performs well on the Chesapeake with nice speed and a smooth ride. The design is outstanding and she looks like she is moving when standing still which is why heads turn as we pass by. The bow and cockpit areas are smartly designed to accommodate us and our friends comfortably. What makes her unique for a bowrider is the sleeping cabin and separate head with sink and shower both which have full standup headroom. Engine access is unbelievable with lots of space. Our review would not be complete without providing kudos for the staff who were attentive through the whole process. Matt Stansbsury, who was our salesman, was very personable and pleasant. He went above and beyond to make sure things moved smoothly from introduction to the boat, contract and trade-in acceptance, sea trial and coordination with the other staff. Jessica Dixon who handled the financing, documents and settlement was knowledgeable and responsive. Matt Weimer performed the captain's orientation. He was pleasant and very thorough in familiarizing me with the boat and it's systems. I appreciated his willingness to accommodate when due to bad weather I could not take the boat that day at which point he volunteered and delivered the boat to my home on another day. Very nice yacht sales and supplies facility. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff. They are located in an area with numerous boat yard facilities to include riggers, electronics, and Bert jabbing boat yard.

I recently used Ian Dimka to sell my 42' Sea Ray and was completely pleased with the experience. I had previously had my boat listed with another broker for nearly 1 year and had a miserable experience. Ian delivered exactly what he promised, did an excellent job marketing my boat, and coordinated a closing with a buyer from the Great Lakes area. He pulled the entire deal together in the middle of January (not exactly prime selling season). I strongly recommend contacting Ian if you have a boat to sell, I am glad I selected him.

As a first time boat buyer the entire process is confusing and intimating. Johnathan and Anne at Annapolis Yacht Sales in Deltaville VA took the time to walk us through the entire process. They were prompt and reliable. Johnathan was willing to show us several boats over a holiday weekend and gave his honest opinion about which boat would be best suited for us and our plans. They helped us to close several days before we had planned when our work schedules changed unexpectedly. We could not be happier with our new boat!
