Called them to fix our leaking washing machine. We paid for the initial visit, then they ordered a part. It was the wrong part, so they had to order a new one. It’s been 5 weeks now and we paid them $550 in total. A week later, the washing machine is leaking again.

Repairman came out and ordered $450 part due to the error code. I was told the part could not be found cheaper anywhere else. It’s been 2.5 weeks and the part is still not in. A friend visiting from Colorado offered to take a look at my machine. He had it fixed and running within 10 minutes. (He simply removed the filters and cleaned them … which preceded the part that was ordered for $450.) Out of curiosity, my friend checks Amazon for the $450 part and there it was for $42.99 with a 2 day delivery! I totally got bamboozled and paid $129.99 for the repairman to come out to accomplish absolutely nothing but a big headache and loss of money. I expect much more from a “professional” company. Never again.

Do not use this company or repair facility. I thought they would be a local, trustworthy, and honest company. My LG dishwasher was broken. They came to diagnose and told us to contact LG. As told I contacted LG and was told to give the information for the repair facility. When I called ABC appliance the following day since the tech came AFTER their phone hours, Joyce met me with an unpleasant phone call explaining that they don’t do LG warranty work and getting LG parts is “hard and takes a long time.” I understand this is a policy, but it was NEVER communicated to me prior to a $130 visit that lasted 5 minutes. There is no manager and no solution. She told me “you accepted the call when you committed to us coming out.” Great service for hiding the fact that my appliance is one they don’t work on?
The final piece people need to know is that they have a “recorded line.” This is not told to customers or as a recording before they answer. They have them saved as she told me she could go back to check if I shared my appliance type and warranty. This is against the law.
If I could give 0 stars so would. I hate to leave negative reviews, but this one deserves to be shared.

Horrible customer service, especially Joyce who answers the phones. Never receive call backs for follow on service calls- have had 2 prior service visits where they cannot figure out and fix the issue.

Our washing machine had a minor problem that caused an overflow of water. The ABC repairman found the problem right away and showed me how to avoid it in the future .

This business is an absolute joke and should be ashamed to have ruined their name in edgewater, my family's been using abc for 30+ years, today we were charged $180 for rich to come out and flip a breaker switch than say "well if it's not that I need to come back another day" he came to look at our oven, he knew he was looking at an oven, yet brought none of his oven tools. We waited a week for this appointment and we're told that we weren't special just because we had waited a week, and that we were going to have to wait another week. Over the multiple phone calls we had afterwards, rich told my mother that she should just listen to him because "I'm the technician not you or your son"Rich is really a wonderful guy, walked away and called me an a****** while I was on the phone with him and then came back and hung up on me. This business really is just a bunch of people that were decent 20 years ago and are stuck in their childish ways, I feel bad for everyone I ever recommended them to.

Did not notify us that they were unable to cover warranty but did send out a service rep that charged us $120. They could not do the warranty work so instead of informing of this to us, we found it out on our own and had all the service work done under warranty. simply they should have told us they could not do warranty work and recommended to us a place that could. I have done business with these people for over 20 years but that is now terminated. they were however pretty good about hounding us to pay the bill.

Had a contract from a major store on a dryer. AFter 2 attempts and 6 months, they couldn't repair the brand new dryer. They then sent out ABC to repair it. WE got the right part and no problem. They were great. A simple repair, but other company was horrible. Here's 5 stars to ABC Appliance!!!! Wish I would have purchased from them as well.Service: Dryer repair

I've purchased appliances from ABC for years. Dishwashers, Dryers, washers. I have a lot of children so I go through appliances quickly. They've always been helpful with parts I've ordered and they may be "old school" but so am I. You get what you pay for and their service is great.Service: Household appliance installation

I always try and use a small local business to support my community. I had ABC come to my house to repair a dryer. They sent someone out 3 times and spent over $300 and it was not fixed. I ultimately decided to replace the dryer. They were only willing to give me a $75 credit towards a new dryer and were not willing to deliver and install it free of charge. I would suggest using another company.Service: Dryer repair
