I was offered overnight stock position at Harris teeter the background check came back Harris teeter blamed the background company said it was an auto fail and then finally someone from Harris teeter told me they did not hire people with misdemeanor convictions on their background they also mentioned that I have a warrant out of California that is 3,000 miles away they do not hire people with warrants that are 3,000 miles away in different states they ought to just be the FBI instead of a grocery store do not shop here if you have any type of criminal background if they won't hire you and pay you they shouldn't take your money for their products

The worst Harris Teeter I've ever shopped at. Fresh produce is generally mediocre and often poor or non-existent. The male produce workers are grouchy, lazy and not at all helpful. Hate shopping at this store and will happily drive the extra 10 minutes to Giant for a better experience and far better produce.

Bring a rubber band if you're thinking sushi -- This has been a reliably good store, and I spend a few hundred bucks a month here. But they need at least one new customer service rep. My weekly $15 splurge, nestled carefully in the shopping basket, shifted slightly, sprung open and flipped sushi all over the other stuff there. Remarkably flimsy container - but I paid for it, then made a quick call to customer service on the way home. Suggested pleasantly they put a rubber band on these pricey products. (Didn't suggest they buy more secure containers, as every other purveyor uses, didn't even complain - just made a reasonable suggestion). Got a lecture - I can drive back to the store if I want to request a refund (not my point). No sorry, no oops, and any action - basically forget that. "OKAAAAAY, I'll say something but we have procedures, blah blah blah." Customer service training should at least recommend pretending to hear. Even if I could have gotten over the unsanitary exposure, everything got rolled through the smashed wasabi and coated to the point of inedible. No more sushi for me. No more bothering customer "service" again. Harris-Teeter should just close customer "service" if that's what greets a reasonable suggestion. I slept on it before Yelping, figuring that rep just had a bad day - but silly to worry she'll hear about it from the brass - she obviously had no intention of doing anything but telling me to get lost. So best to do just that.

Just had an unpleasant experience sending money via Western Union at Harris Teeter. I was told the total amount to pay and pointed toward the machine in which to insert my debit card. I received the message "Chip Malfunction" twice before the woman said, "That will never work. The computer is not turned on." It seems reasonable to me that she might have told me to wait until it was operational. Then she handed me two piles of white paper and indicated we were finished. I asked where was the Tracking Number needed to communicate to the recipient. Her reply was, "It's in the papers I just gave you." In the numerous times in the past when I have used Western Union in this store, the HT employee has always pointed out the number and drawn a circle around it. I will take my business to a different Western Union agency in the future.

Harris Teeter is my go-to grocery store. Stricken with asthma, I am unable to walk the entire store; thus I use the electronic carts which are top notch. (The other grocery stores' electronic carts are old and slow.) All of the staff members are friendly and constantly ask customers if they can help find anything. (They actually will walk to the aisle to show a customer where an item is located.) Their prices are sometimes higher than other stores but I like the layout of the store, it's roomy and always spotlessly clean. My favorite section of the store is fruits and vegetables, always fresh.

This is a fairly nice grocery store. It has a large selection of most items and freshly made specialties as well. It's clean and modern looking on the inside (it's a fairly new store). They have a wine and spirits enclosed section as well. Their prices are a little higher than other local stores, but they are always jam packed! Their seafood section is nice with a moderate selection of fish and other types of seafood. I like this location and would recommend it.

I love this place! It is always clean and the staff is friendly. I have 5 kids so shopping for a family of 7 is expensive. Yea they are a bit pricey but when they have a deal it is a REALLY GREAT DEAL! They also have full pizzas that take less than 10-12 minutes. Have a few things to get--I order a pizza then run and grab some items and grab my pizza on the way out. Also...WINE in the site. Love this. Over the summer then I have all the kids at home, I dread taking them to the grocery store, so I order on line and pick it up in the grove through. It is beyond convenient. After shopping here, I have a hard time going elsewhere.

Shaking my head at the negative reviews! I've shopped at the Easton store multiple times (in fact, Harris Teeter is now my first choice) and have had a positive experience every time. Customer service is exceptional, especially in the meat and seafood department. Everything has been first quality and fresh. Huge selection with good weekly specials. Should they happen to be out of something, they've offered better, not equal product. Senior discount on Thursdays; they also accept most competitors' discount coupons.

Horrible experience. First lunch meat was run at $10 more than price in case; and attended didn't believe me and came around to check. Next item was charged at 15.99 instead of 11.99 per pound and I didn't have patience to argue; so I took it as is. Next, self checkout took forever, and only 2 regular lines open. Nothing scanned right the first time, and coupons for cookies didn't work. Attendant couldn't figure it out either; so due to time spent I simply skipped coupons. Of course then the pin of kept not working. So took me a total of 20 minutes to shop and buy 6 items; and I got to pay $6 more due to mispricing and coupons not working. Nobody cared. Top notch, lol. (For the record, I'm 40+ years old and have no problem self checking out anywhere else.)

Not everyone is thrilled with Harris Teeter coming into Easton, Md with superior seafood, meat, produce, and service. Competition for your grocery dollar is getting intense. Warning! Not all reviews will be fair, impartial, and accurate. Google "Captain GiddyUp" and decide for yourself if my reviews can be trusted.

We spent $90 on fish to grill. Two different kinds: cod and sea bass. Both were old, terrible smelling, and inedible.

This weekend we were on vacation in Easton, MD and I went to the new Harris Teeter grocery store. When I checked out, I had a plastic ziploc with $ 400.00 of cash along with my grocery lists. I thought I had put it back in my purse. Unfortunately, on my next errand, when I went to reach for my bag of cash, it was not there. I panicked and retraced my steps and returned back to Harris Teeter and asked the manager on duty, if anyone found a plastic bag full of cash. Thankfully, this store has honest employees and customers, my little bag was returned to the front office. To say the least, I was quite relieved and my prayers were answered. Whoever turned this cash over to the HT employee, I thank you very much.

Not really impressed. It's a nice store, that's for certain. It has a good variety. But the prices are so high. Really, this place has the highest prices I've ever seen in a grocery store. I won't be coming back. There are other stores in the area that have much better prices and sell everything I need.
