The lending officer Mike is the absolute worst. He does not know anything he does not read paper work even the realtor on the seller side said he is hard to work with, he don't know anything, never answers any questions, he don't explain anything. He is just awful!!! Buying a home is so stressful you would think the lending officer would try and make it a little better, but no!!!!!!.... I will be contacting a supervisor!!!!! And changing lenders!!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars, do not go to m&t for a home loan!!!!!

They charged me $50 to close my account. They said this was in the disclosures when I opened the account but I suggest just going to a bank that doesn't charge to close an account.

I went to cash a 7 dollar check here, and it was an M and T check, however I don't have an account and apparently there is usually a 10 dollar fee even if the check is an M and T check, the lady was nice enough to cash it for me without even mentioning a fee. I guess she felt bad because the check was only 7 dollars lol However, I greatly appreciated it.

I arrived 10 minutes before the bank closed and requested to open a checking account. They told me that because it takes 15 to 20 minutes to open an account and that they closed in 10 minutes. They said they would not be able to honor my request. And then a man with a handlebar, goatee thing going on said very sternly, "yeah, we can't do it". I've never heard of such a thing as a business responding to a potential new customer like this. If this is any indication of the level of customer service I could have expected from M&T Bank then I'm glad I didn't open an account. I'll go to a bank that doesn't mind staying 5 to minutes late for an customer. I was also there the day before and spoke to one of the managers inquiring about an issue and he said he would get back to me. No response. Horrible customer service. I can see they don't respond to these reviews so I contacted corporate.

I drove up to the ATM this morning, put my card in and it just fell into the machine! This was at 8:30 so the branch wasn't open yet. I needed my card so I went up to the drive thru window to retreive it and they told me they weren't open yet...are you kidding me?! You have my card because YOU didn't push the card reader forward. An older woman was very rude and did not want to help me but thank God her coworker coaxed her. Completely ridiculous. This is how I'm treated for being a long time customer. Like another reviewer said, great bank, but the customer service at the Easton branch needs help!

Horrible service. Slow, rude, and didn't meet my request of bill types at all. M&t is a great bank but the people at the Easton branch aren't

What can you say about a bank? As long as they don't lose your money, they are doing their job, right? Well, some banks are better than others. I've been happy with M & T Bank but more to the point, I've been happy with the staff at this particular branch. The people here are very friendly, always greeting me with a smile when I come in. They are always pleasant. I opened my account at another branch but over the last year or so, because of work, have found myself nearer to this location most days. I have enjoyed getting to know the staff here. These are some really good people and they are what makes a bank something worth posting a five-star review for.

Banked here for nearly a year. No complaints! Maybe if the reviewer before me would open a free account, he wouldn't have to pay $10. Checks can be cashed anywhere but who doesn't charge if you don't have an account?

If somebody gives you a check from this bank and if you don't have a account there . They will charge you $10 . Kind of ludicrous.
