Nowhere to dump tanks for your camper. Camp office closes early, so you won't be able to check in until the next day. Work was being done, the office was closed the second day. The showers have momentary valves so you only get water if you hold the valve on, so you can't do your hair or your back. We left the second day of a 5 day for somewhere more camper friendly and ate the cost.

Paradise for puppies and their people! Absolutely gorgeous location with very helpful and accommodating staff; Tammy was especially delightful. We came as transient boaters, docking for two nights. Our bilge pump stopped working and the staff had the correct model in stock and brought it to us immediately. We have been sailing on the Chesapeake for 15 years, and this sort of service is very rare. We walked through the campground which is beautiful. Location is quiet and private with lots of places to walk our dog and a shady, grassy fenced dog area that was large enough for us to throw her ball. Mya gives Dennis Point 5 paws! All in all, perfect respite!

Always enjoy our stay at Dennis Point Camp Ground… Pat’s Restaurant is the best. The best is Joey Tippett & California Ramblers, also Dark Hollow Band…

This campground is ok, but not worth even close to $100/night. Think I paid was $65 just last season. Drove through recently to see why the 50+% price increase and noticed nothing has changed since last year but there are tons of empty spots. Crossing this place off my list.

I can’t rate the rooms as we didn’t stay overnight but this place is beautiful. Not fancy or stuffy just peaceful and so pretty. Tammy, the manager was lovely and we enjoyed chatting with her and learning about the marina and property. She was incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell she knows her guests and has great relationships. We don’t live far, but my husband and I are planning to use this as little escape when we need a night away.
Nearby activities: Boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, camping

Very friendly and helpful people. Dog friendly atmosphere. Camping is just a large open field lined with trees and unreliable electric hookups although they seem to be working on the electric system. The nearest bathroom and showers are a 5 minute walk away at the marina. One washer and dryer available. No hiking trails although you can walk along the road which has minimal traffic.

Food and drinks: Delicious local seafood stay and enjoy the atmosphere or take it to go, you can't go wrong either way! Big fan of the rock fish bites, crabs and oysters.
Playground: Nice place for the little ones.
Dog-friendliness: Clean up after your pet but all are welcome.
Picnic area: Plenty of picnic tables offered.

Not a full timer? Stay away! Locals get cranky when you hang at their pool! Owners are more concerned about appeasing their regulars than visitors. Avoid at all costs unless you are in the in crowd! Had 7 campers in the field for a long weekend and we will never return. Oh, yeah and power cuts out all the time too....which we never complained about. Avoid these biased owners!UPDATE TO OWNERS RESPONSE. There was NO unacceptable behavior. The problem was the behavior of the kids from one of your seasonals. We had a child with us and she left the pool because they were splashing her, and we politely asked them to stop. The bad behavior was the woman responsible for these kids as she threw a frensy when we asked her children to stop splashing the child with us. We were quiet and polite when asking her to do so. The problem is how the owners handled this situation. This is all hearsay from the seasonal disgruntled lady who thought this was her pool and didn't want to share with the transients. If you are referring to alcohol at the pool, THEY HAD ALCOHOL as well and you didn't kick them out..... BIASED TOWARDS THE FULL TIMERS AS I MENTIONED! GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT apparently..... You lost 7 couples of campers that will never return the way you handled things. Additionally if you believe we were cussing this is all hearsay from the seasonal disgruntled lady as well. Lastly, you insulted our handicap friend who was sitting on the stairs, by tell us we were taking up too much of the pool. Where are 14 people supposed to go? You could have handled this much differently and you chose to side with your regulars.

BEWARE campers! This campground only will cater to their seasonals, had a terrible experience where we had 7 campers in their field for wkd and power kept cutting out which we never complained about. However don't try to use "their" pool because its for regulars only apparently. We were rudely asked to leave because we were taking up too much space, umm we have 12 people and its 90 degrees and we only took up 1 small corner of their tiny pool. They told us we should exit the pool and sit out for awhile. Also the "regulars" made up stories about us that were untrue to get us in trouble. They never even bothered to try and figure out what happened just told us to leave. We will NEVER be back as this was such a biased owned facility. They also shamed a friend of ours who was handicapped for sitting on the stairs.

Brought our trailer down to scout for work. I teach kayaking. This is a good location for my job. The only reason it’s not a five star is I couldn’t get cell reception which makes it hard to plan outings. That’s not the campground’s fault, I guess I need an antenna! We camped in the field. Paid for pump out on Sunday. Loved Capt Pat’s for dinner. Have already booked a workshop there this spring. My students appreciate the lower rates of camping versus renting a hotel or house. Boat ramp is well maintained and an easy launch for kayakers.
