I'm very disappointed in MoCo Animal Services. Apparently video evidence, an affidavit, AND the accounts of multiple neighbors of *multiple* instances of animal abuse does not trump the perpetrator's ridiculous stories. Where is the follow up? Does an animal have to show up nearly dead before you do anything? I simply do not understand why you are in this line of work if you are going to do nothing and then not even respond to follow up requests. Please, if anyone else has experienced the same below par service, leave a review.

Hopefully this is a no kill shelter. And when Euth is necessary due to illness with no hope for recovery, Do not use Gas or Decompression Chamber. Only a Qualified Vet, not staff. These barbaric and torturous methods of what is called Euthanasia are cruel and heartless causing unnecessary pain and suffering to a poor animal who has done nothing to deserve such treatment. Hopefully there will be a law passed forbidding the use of The Gas Chamber and Decompression.

I lost my cat back in January and wanted to check the shelter and adoption center to see if my cat was there. Whilst at the Office this bald man gave me the worst service. Not only did he give me no help but he made me feel somehow worse about my situation. He was bald and working with a young lady at the time. She on the other hand was polite and showed empathy. The bald man on the other hand had no feelings inside of his bald head. Im writing this nearly a year later, after reminiscing on photos of my lost cat, and i still remember the bald man. ela was my cats name, she was a sweet cat. Although unfortunately she was declawed when i adopted her, she would never hurt a soul.

If you're looking to add a furry friend to your family, the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center is a place that is sure to warm your heart. From our first step inside, the exceptional staff and dedicated volunteers transformed what could have been an overwhelming experience into a truly joyous occasion. First and foremost, their expertise in guiding us towards the right match was paramount. Instead of simply assigning us with an adorable bundle of energy, the staff took the time to discuss our lifestyle, our home, and what we were looking for in a pet. They seamlessly bridged the gap between an animal in need and a loving family in search of a loyal companion. Their depth of knowledge about the dogs and their unique needs was a reassurance that we were in good hands. The evident love and compassion that the staff and volunteers demonstrated towards these animals was incredibly moving. The center was meticulously clean and the animals were well cared for, showcasing their relentless efforts to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these precious beings. The sheer dedication of everyone involved, coupled with their passion for their work, makes this center stand out. In fact, the experience didn't end with choosing our new companion. The staff went out of their way to provide us with extensive advice on how to care for our new dog - everything from dietary needs to exercise requirements and even advice on adjusting to a new home. We left feeling prepared and confident, knowing we had their ongoing support should we need it. A special mention goes to the volunteers who were heartwarmingly attached to the animals. As we were leaving, one of them rushed in just to give our new dog one last cuddle and to bid him goodbye - a testament to the personal, heartfelt connections they forge with the animals in their care. In conclusion, the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center is more than just a shelter or a service; it's a heartfelt community of animal lovers. Their mission is not simply to rehome animals but to ensure that every animal finds the right home, and every home finds the right animal. Our experience was nothing short of wonderful, and we are truly grateful for the love and dedication they pour into their work. We look forward to many joyful years with our new family member, secure in the knowledge that we were guided by the best. If you're considering pet adoption, this center should be your first port of call.

Eager to apply her thirteen-year-old genius to the sometimes-daily, rolling blackouts that have plagued her family's roller-skating rink and many other businesses on the Lower East Side of New York City, Lunella Lafayette throws the switch that she hypothesizes will create a power source that can sustain the entire L.E.S. even if the new supervillain (Aftershock) remains committed to villainy. What she gets instead is an extremely puppy-like, hot dog-craving, ten-ton, Tyrannosaurus Rex she codenames Devil Dinosaur. But what about the rest of us who crave the companionship of a dog, a cat, even a conure or a budgie or a bearded dragon? Regardless of whether you are excited about your first pet or elated about your potential fourteenth, the place you should head to first is the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center on 7315 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood, Maryland. There, a kind staff and volunteers will invite you to walk through the warmly-lit, glass-walled rooms where dogs, young and old, strays found and former pets surrendered, are treated well and cared for as they wait for a new forever-home. There are no limits to how many times you may take the self-guided tours or how much time you spend in front of individual rooms scribbling notes as to which dog you want to meet first during a separately scheduled interaction with a staff member on hand. It was through this process that my wife and I requested the chance to meet Ann, who we renamed Lisbon for Teresa Lisbon from the Mentalist. She climbed onto each of our laps, her stringy tail thwapping the sides of our legs with excitement, and we informed Maddie, our wonderful adoption coordinator, that we wouldn't need to meet any of the other dogs on our list. We fell in love with Lisbon. We scheduled another adoption appointment four days later, this time to bring her home, giving Montgomery County Animal Services enough time to spay and microchip her. The fee to bring her home was $100, comparatively scant to what you might pay from a rescue organization or a breeder.

We adopted our sweet boy Gandalf from this shelter and the staff were so kind and supportive. The cat volunteers are especially nice and helpful. There's free pet food for people in need and we always make a point to donate blankets and extra food when we can.

Great greAT GREAT place to adopt from!! They helped us tremendously with introducing us to our sweet Sunny (formerly known as Debra). She was scared from people and it took my husband 4 visits before she finally let him pet her. They also helped us with the bonding process between Sunny and our other dog. They took care of her for months before we had the chance to find her. The adoption process was quick and pleasant! The stuff was very friendly, professional, and great to work with. The facility was clean. We keep recommending it to all of our neighbors, friends and coworkers.
