I called Boones automotive told the guy Bradley my car was overheating he said bring it in let me check it out well turned out to be a water pump which he charged me $1399 for water pump. I called Chesapeake auto in Owings who are usually deal with and they charge for a water pump $716. Boones automotive overcharged me which is pure robbery and I hope to God that people read this please do not go to them they overcharge. And it’s terrible with the things going on in the world so please do not go to them. And plus he charge my husband $85 to look at it and I called. Luckily he gave me my money back. They are terrible anymore. I don’t know what’s going on I know in the past. I guess they were good at one time I’m not sure. I was referred to by friend never ever ever will I go there again

In the past Boons has been very good to me, saved me money. That's why when my 16 year old car A/C started blowing warm air I took it to Boons as I have done with one other car ( 20 yrs old) same problem, they charged the system I was good. This time they told me I needed an A/C compressor, I told them I need to save up some money before I can get this done. Later my son-in-law said he had the same problem with his car and he found the clutch was bad and replaced it. We did the same on my vehicle, his was same vehicle, 1yr. older and that was the problem with his. Fixed mine for 50.00 bucks, we did the labor, saved me 945.00 dollars. I will still use Boones but only with things I know are in need repair of replacing that I cannot do myself, with A/C systems, I'm at their mercy, glad I told my son-in-law first.

Really disappointed by Boone's (or not Boone's - specifically Marvin McFiren Sr.). We had our car inspected and he typed the VIN number in wrong by one digit (normally no problem at all, we had to pay $20 for temporary tags and an extra trip to the MVA but mistakes happen, we weren't mad). When I called to get this fixed, I was really polite at first but received no apology (anything would have worked for me, even "oops") and I was spoken to as though it was my fault and like I was being a pain by even calling in with this issue. We paid for this inspection, an error was made, we paid extra because of the error and his response was unacceptable.This is the first review I have ever explicitly set out to write and I am not the type to complain about this type of thing but I would like Boone's to know that Mr. McFiren Sr.'s lack of courtesy is potentially costing them customers.

Awesome small town 2nd generation shop! They charged me literally half what the big chain repair shop 500 feet down the street quoted me! I was in a tough spot, my cat wasn't drivable and they got me back on the road the next day!

I have taken my car to Boone's Automative on several occasions since moving to the area. I have found the mechanics honest, thorough in their review of my car, and the work is done well. When told by a dealership just prior to moving to the area that I needed four new tires, I was advised by Marvin, one of the senior mechanics, that my tires were fine for a road-trip to North Carolina. Most recently when I made an appointment to have my car inspected prior to my scheduled two thousand mile road-trip to Florida, Marvin graciously did so gratis. I owe him a gift card to the BBQ take out place in Churchton. I highly recommend Boone's Automotive. If you' have heard of Distad in DC, another family owned business run by John, who is getting very high marks (my family took our cars there for thirty plus years); Boone's is in their league! Kent and Teresa do a terrific job. Kudos to them and the Boone staff. Thank you. Susan

Used to think very awesome shop and technicians. Come to find out that when you bring in your vehicle. The technician breaks a working part. If you do not purchase the part from them. They will then turn you away as a customer. I too work in a mechanical field as a technician. When I break a part, my company pays for the part. Never did the company I worked for turn away a customer. I will give Boones this much. Very good technicians that do great work. Just hope they do not break any parts on your vehicle while performing work.
