My mother and I went to this store for the first time and while the shopping was okay, our experience at the cashier was eye-opening. There were two cashiers and we were waiting for about 30 seconds before one of them finished up. However, instead of calling us over, she blatantly walked away to go do absolutely nothing (literally just stand around) before walking back and seemingly pretending to be on the phone. Now, I wanted to excuse her and say oh maybe she had planned to do this after the customer before us and it just timed up horribly. However, it became very evident as the moment the other cashier became free and called us over, this cashier was somehow also immediately done with whatever she was doing. Admittedly, my mom caught it before me and looking back it was blatant that she did not want to assist us. The other cashier was lovely, but this experience has tarnished my view of this store. Even if you say it wasn’t racially motivated, this is still abhorrent customer service to blatantly walk away from the cash register when you see that someone has been waiting in line. If you want to visit this T.J. Maxx, be warned that they may not want to serve you.

Awful customer service. Called earlier in the day and asked about two barstools I saw a week prior. The woman said she went and looked for them and they weren’t there. So I decided to take a trip anyways and sure enough, they had FOUR. I grabbed 2, one was discounted and the other was not. Went to check out and they refused to honor the sale price for the second one. (There was nothing wrong with the sale one, no scratches no holes, nothing.. even though they claimed there was) I’ve never had this happen at any other TJMaxx or Marshall’s before, they’ve always honored sale prices on duplicate items. The cashier refused and when I questioned why, 2 other associates chimed in and argued with me, as if I didn’t hear my cashier. I’ve worked in customer service my entire life, I will always try to make customers happy. It was only a difference of $20. To top it all off, I went to the TJmaxx in Pasadena an hour later and what do you know? One on sale and the other 3 were not. They honored the sale price on not just 2, but 3! Unbelievable

I ran in for some GF snacks. The selection was just OK. I do appreciate the large selection of regular items that make sense for great gift bag fillers. The store was a bit messy. There were a lot of items on the floor where they had been pulled off hangers. I picked up quite a bit because that's just my personality. I worked in retail during the holidays a long time ago ?. I understand that some customers are not as much of a neat freak as I am, and that's okay. ?With that said, I enjoyed my trip in today!

Stopped in TJ Max Waugh Chapel Town Center, Odenton/Gambrills. When I went up to the register, I ask for a Veterans Discount and the young lady laughed right out loud and told the cashier lady next to her "this lady want a Veterans discount" and laughed out loud and said we don't honor Veterans at TJ Max. I was shocked and dismayed by this reponse. She then said "we don't honor Military eihter." I explained to this young woman that Military and Veterans are the SAME THING." She smirked at me and asked if i still wanted the purchase? I said yes, you should be ashamed of yourself for smirking and laughing stating that we dont honor Veterans here. Terri Letwinsky
