Great experience here. They have a lot of sofas to choose from - and many are modular. We found the perfect sofa with great back support. It is one of the most comfortable places to hang out in the house!

If you want furniture that can handle real life AND last longer than tinker toy furniture then you need to spend a bit more and the folks at Sofa, Etc. know how to get you into the right piece that fits your budget. Their inventory includes mid-tier to more expensive pieces, with lots of choices. We love the Stressless recliner we bought—it has style and comfort. Thanks, Sofa, Etc!

When my family was searching for new family room sofas, Barbara Clark provided us with excellent insights about the characteristics of each brand of sofas we were considering. She possesses a "superior eye" for interior design and an extensive knowledge of the furniture business. Between her and the store's manager, Debbie Harp, we were in very capable hands. We greatly appreciated and benefited from their combined decades of experience and patient guidance. We would highly recommend them for any furniture or decorating needs you may have. We made our purchase knowing that they both had our best interests at heart and left knowing that we had made two new friends.

I recently purchased a sofa from Sofas Etc. The selection is exceptional. They have sofas in every shape, size and price range. I worked with Barbara. Barbara was a pleasure to work with. She took the time to walk me through the store, allowing me the opportunity to try each sofa and discussing the features of each sofa. Once my selection was made, she took the time to help me select fabric covering, arm shape, leg shape, etc. She helped me build a fully custom sofa that fits my space perfectly. I highly recommend Sofas Etc for your next sofa.

Bought a chair from Sofasetc today. What a pleasant experience! Our sales person, Barbara, was so very nice, informative, helpful and, most of all, patient, while I sat in chair after chair until I found “the one.” Debbie also helped us discover all the possibilities and narrow our choices. I highly recommend this store in Columbia if your are looking for great furniture and truly enjoyable buying experience.

This furniture store has the most beautiful things to choose from! We ordered a new custom made sofa recently and are eagerly awaiting its arrival! We simply didn’t see anything else anywhere that compared to it. Barbara was our sales person and she was wonderful to work with! We took our time with our decision and she was patient and very helpful! We look forward to its delivery!

They were professional, responsive and did a fantastic job. Colleen was especially helpful with designing the layout for our living room and picking furniture pieces and colors to complement the room. Will definitely be going back!!!!

Purchased a Braddington Young leather sofa here about 5 years ago as well as a Sherril chair/ottoman. Staff and manager were nice enough and they have a good selection of quality brands. Sherril chair has held up well and is in fine condition but the Braddington Young couch hwas quite inferior leather. Within a year of receiving the couch the leather on the seams on the top of the couch back all separated form the welt. Brought this up to the manager in short order but never got any satisfaction. Braddingotn Young advertises their quality leather but not on this couch! Am in need of another sofa/sectional but am a bit leery of going to this store again. $5K for a leather couch and the leather essentially fell off on the seams within months. Buyer beware.

I went to sofas etc on March 8 2023 and purchased a recliner. They said it can take up to 16 weeks to receive it. It actually came in on April 7. Less than 5 weeks. My sales rep was Barbara Clark. She was very patient and kind. Great chair.

Stopped in to see what they had for selections of Sofa... and boy they didn't disappoint. There are so many choices to fit any home and price range. I worked with Colleen and she was extremely helpful and took the time to guide us through getting a sofa that fit, was comfortable, and beautiful for our home. A lot of time was spent getting it right and finding the right fabrics for the sofa and pillows. In addition to that, we found the most comfortable chair to go along with our chair. I was happy to shop here and think you would find an excellent selection for your home.

I had never heard anything about SOFAS ETC. until my husband informed me about a recliner he was interested in purchasing. He learned about the store from a friend of his. Before my first visit to the store, I did not know it existed, even though I had been in that location many times before. The sales person who assisted us was very knowledgeable about the stores products and extremely helpful. She was patient and allowed us to take our time in order to make the best purchasing decision. If you are looking for furniture, go to Sofas Etc. and ask for Kathy Schoeffield. Tell her the McNeil’s sent you.

I purchased two chairs from this store, with Colleen as my sales person, in October 2021. I understood that it would take longer than usual to receive them due to supply chain shortage, so I wasn't put off when I was told they'd be coming in around March/April of 2022. sometime around March 2022 I called Colleen to get an update/status of when they be coming in and she said probably May/June. Still being patient, I called around the end of June and was told definitely sometime in mid-July. When I called back mid July, I was told that the chairs actually weren't finished by the manufacturer And would be another couple of weeks before they are shipped, then another week before they are delivere. By this time, my patience had been tested and it was negative. Throughout this whole, lengthy process, mind you, I had to push for them to inquire and keep me posted. Finally, the chairs came at the end of August 2022 and the minute they were taken off the truck and unboxed I could tell that the finish on the legs of the chairs was wrong and it was obvious. So I called the store to let them know this and Colleen started to get defensive with me stating "I always make sure as I am writing the order to go over it outloud with the customer so I don't make any mistakes". I didn't refute this but asked her "What if the manufacturer got it wrong?" Again, defensive and argumentative, Colleen remarked that sometimes the finish sample they have in the store is slightly different from what the manufacturer has, that this is common, and basically--I should just accept this and be ok with it. Trust me if it had been just a smidge off, I wouldn't have made a big deal, but the finish was black and I had ordered a reddish-brown--way off! So I went to the store in person and asked to take the samples home so I could compare them to what I had. I took pictures and emailed them to both Colleen and her boss, Brian, and when I got no response from either of them, I went back into the store with the samples and pictures and asked them which sample looked like the finish on my chairs and they picked the black one. At this point, it's quite obvious that I got the wrong finish, but I STILL had to prove it to them by allowing Brian to come to my house and see for himself. Upon leaving, he said he'd take care of the error with the manufacturer and get back to me In a few days. When I didn't hear from him after a week or so I called to follow up and was told: "Brian no longer works here." I'm pretty sure the manufacturer was never called. I was then told that "Susan" would be handing this with the manufacturer and would "get back to me" after a couple more weeks-- she indicated that she re-ordered the chair legs in the correct finish and that they'd arrive at the store in 6-8 weeks. At 8 weeks, I called to follow up- talked to Susan who said she would call them when we got off the phone then get back to me that day. I never heard back, so another week later I went back into the store and this time Colleen- noticing that I was talking to another sale person rushed to the front desk to cut into my conversation and started getting defensive and argumentative all over again. At this point I had had it with Colleen. When I asked her when this issue would be corrected, she said she didn't know. I sarcastIcalmly said, "Another year?" And she said, "I don't know, but it won't be 5 or 10 years! At least you have the chairs...It's not like you can't use them!" Of course I can use them but that isn't the point-I argued back at her. The point is that I paid $3,000 for chairs that were not exactly what I ordered and I want it corrected; I feel incredibly disrespected; and now I am feeling put-off in an avoidance kind of way. Are you kidding me? For a $3,000 purchase, this is the kind of treatment I get? Before leaving the store angry, I was "promised" a call back from them within 2-3 days and STILL have heard

Beware of Sofas, Etc., on McGaw Road You need furniture and good sales practice go anywhere else but here. We bought dining room set back at the beginning of May and we were told 5-6 months. No problem as everything seems to take forever nowadays and we were not in a hurry. I called three weeks ago and was told the DR furniture was in a truck on its way to Maryland and that it would take two weeks to get here. I was trying to give away our old DR furniture last week because the delivery was expected this week or so I thought. When I called to confirm delivery on Saturday I was told it's now sometime in November. They blatantly lied about the furniture being on its way. If I could I would give it a minus star

Found this store while doing a search for furniture and decided to pay a visit with my wife,...just window shopping. Prices seemed a bit high buuuuuut, the customer service was top notch. Colleen was the absolute best. Needless to say, we have decided this is where we will be buying our furniture. Still pricey and probably not withing our budget but I'm sold.
