If you need alterations don’t use Shaker Cleaners & Tailors. I needed a gown hemmed and they ruined it. When I picked up my gown, I wanted to try it on but the lady kept saying, home. Home. She didn’t want me trying it on. Her working hours were 2-4:30. I picked the gown up at 2, went home, tried on the gown and wore it back to the place of business. I was there by 3:00 and she had already left. I showed the man working there, presumably the owner, and told him I wanted my money back . He refused, indicating I needed to talk to his wife. I tried calling twice the next morning and no one answered the phone. I made my 3rd attempt to call at 2:00 when they answered. She was already gone for the day. This was Friday and their business is closed next week. I needed my gown fixed so I took it elsewhere. They pinned it up and tried to even out the hem but it was no use. The gown is too short to be fixed.

I have to give a huge thanks and glowing recommendation for Mrs Kwon of Shaker cleaners and tailors. She expertly altered my gown for my son's wedding. The gown had a gorgeous, but what I would consider "fragile" satin fabric and she had to redo the entire side seams to better fit it and to fix what I believe were some design flaws. The dress fit like a glove and I received so many compliments. You shouldn't hesitate to reach out to them for all of your tailoring needs

First time using this dry cleaner. They stained my shirt, ironed out the double cuffs on my French cuff shirt and acted like he couldn’t possibly fix this issue.bI’m all for using the neighborhood business but this was not acceptable service. I’ll find a new place.
