It has now been more than a week since I submitted an application for a CD and I am still waiting for it to be approved. All I get is excuses. This is unacceptable. I have never had a problem like this with banks or other credit unions. Extremely poor customer service.

First of, I've been with them for a while now and I've gotten a car refinance through them and it was not a problem, the problem is their locations always very inconvenient, thinking about closing my account. Can't bother to drive more than a mile to get to my bank. The staff at the Columbia branch is very professional, friendly and helpful.

I opened an account with this institution. Eventually the login stopped working. I just found out that this is because the institution confiscated all the money I had deposited in "inactivity fees" and stole all the money. Total scammers. Run away.

Horrible credit union, both cards locked out on travel even though I put a travel notification in. Slept on the sidewalk until they opened as their rep in the Philippines said they couldn't do anything till they opened. Forgot good interest rates, they've been quoting me 4% higher than a bank! They won't work with you on a new car on order, they like hanging up on you instead of helping.

I applied for an account at NASA FCU and they denied my application 2 weeks after I applied with NO EXPLAINATION. I have an impeccable financial portfolio. Very unprofessional financial institution.

Have been with NASAFCU since 1989 & my Dad has been with them since 1987. Just like any business, there will be ups and downs. What I have found though, is that the branch location (Columbia, MD) is friendlier, more personable, & extremely helpful compared to the corporate personnel; which I will write about later when i have more time, and it's not that all corporate were unhelpful, but I can honestly say that I would feel satisfied after 'almost' every visit to the local branch. My Dad went in every week in person because he felt like a friend than just a customer, which he knew the ladies' names and they knew him. Unfortunately, my Dad unexpectedly passed in February of 2021, and when I told the regular associate that talked to my Dad every week, she sincerely cried; and then today I just saw the other associate (Rory) that I knew & knew she some to Dad all the time too, she was shocked and had tears in her eyes as she choked out a sympathetic apology for the sad loss of a great man. ❤️ Now that's what going to a bank (or credit union should truly feel like)Thank you all at the Columbia, MD branch location for being so wonderful to my amazing Father (James William Dean, Sr.), I know his loss is felt by all; which I know he really enjoyed checking in and talking with all of you every week and I know how you all felt about him as well, meant a lot him too. Plus, thank you for being so patient with the last 2 1/2+ crazy upside-down years of my life too? You ALL are amazing! ❤️❤️❤️THANK YOU COLUMBIA, MD BREACH OF NASAFCU!!! ??

We have been members since 1989, and we can't be more pleased with the services of NASA FCU. The Columbia branch staff goes beyond polite to friendly, beyond knowledgeable to helpful. In addition to standard banking, we have never been disappointed using their services for mortgage, refinance, home equity loan, savings certificates, credit cards, and child accounts. We have raised 4 children under NASA FCU's wings, through their first credit cards to begin good credit records on their own. Thank you NASA FCU!

For the first time since the pandemic started I decided to get some cash and went to the ATM. The building looks sharp and is a bit annoying to get to and back on Snowden River Parkway because of the location. When prompted for the $2 transaction fee I realized it's no longer Capital One. They do have a big sign out front I just missed.

I applied for a mortgage refinance in mid-March. It is now July and all I hear are crickets. I have provided everything they asked for within a day. They keep telling me to be patient. I checked online and the average refi takes 30-45 days. We are now at around 100 days with NFCU, and I have not even gotten a settlement date yet. They have taken so much time that documentation has been needed multiple times, because prior documents are no longer “current.” If I had known this would take more than double the national average, I would have refied elsewhere. This is ridiculous and costing me $400 a month in needless delays.

Dont use this bank. Terrible customer service zero care for their membersUpdate. Was given the run around all weekend and told I could be helped on Monday and they’re still giving me the run around. Hellen the manager is the first person who actually tried to help but we will see if she comes through.Either way I’ll be cancelling my account when this is over. This bank’s customer service is very inconsistent

This is a very customer friendly bank!
