Scam. I visited this Gym in October of 2022. I paid a fee to take a class as a trial. While talking to the instructor Kyle, we discussed the steps to join the Gym. I had concerns about joining because some gyms use pretty hostile tactics to keep your membership active. I directly asked him if I could cancel at any time. The instructor Kyle said "Yes of course, we're not like that.". A week later I was in an accident and broke 3 ribs. I was not able to physically continue with the training. I let them know and they directed me to a website to fill out a cancelation form.Three months later, I got an email from them saying "We're going to charge your card unless you tell us otherwise". They then charged my credit card without my knowledge for $280.I only went to this gym one time 4 months ago from the date of this complaint. I haven't used their services and I called and filled out paperwork to cancel 4 months ago. What I have learned from their customer service since is there is no way to cancel it without a doctors note. Otherwise they will only "freeze" your account for some time and then continue billing you. This was not explained to me at all when I signed up (and who would sign up if they knew those terms?).When I spoke to their customer service, I was bullied and yelled at by a gentlemen named Thomas.

I came here for a consultation for a booked appointment ahead of time. They had even called me on the day of to confirm and remind me that it's important to come on time. I showed up a few minutes early and ended up waiting a whole hour and some change. At that point I just left after the dismissive apology for the wait and I had other things to get done.... like how long was the consultation before me?? Got no update on time the whole time either.

This place is awesome! Every experience I've had has been positive. The staff 100% cares about you achieving your goals. If you're willing to put in the work, so are they. I would highly recommend checking them out.

Re: Virtual Academy- I recently completed the 6 week virtual academy through Krav Maga Maryland. During this 6 week period I had the opportunity to work with Jeremy & Evelyn. Their knowledge and way in which they are able to transfer this knowledge is beyond reproach. It was an honor to have the opportunity to work with and interact with both Jeremy and Evelyn. If you are even the slightest bit interested in Krav Maga, I highly recommend this virtual academy.Krav Maga Maryland is not just a Krav Maga Worldwide school. They are a Krav Maga World Class school.

Before I start I WOULD RECCOMEND YOU FIND ANOTHER ..ANY OTHER.. MARTIAL ARTS GYM to support if you want to avoid scams & low morales! Mavel Sid Milian is the main perpetrator of the inconsideration and low ethics. Beware of her and owner ! I came to this gym in high anticipation of training at this and grasping another martial arts form. At the onset I was impressed by the facilities and the silver Tounge wording of the owner and agent who signed me up. They seemed personable and amenable to helping with customers situation. (I am in the Govt and have to travel often, Which would impede my ability to maintain membership days.. but they said they could be hospitable to this fact). To my terror I found out that many of the rules, promised considerations to customers, and buisness ethic where lacking if existent at all. This became no more evident than when the unprecedented corona virus (COViD 19) struck. Instead of providing great customer consideration and stand on the right side of history, they compounded the COVID pandemic and its impact. I was under the impression that humanity would rise to the top of conscious in the midst of this health epidemic. To my chagrin this Buisness that once presented itself as the pinnacle of martial arts training in the area began taking advantage and engaging in unsavory practices. Particularly charging me for 8 weeks of fees while on mandatory stay home orders. Most companies where trying to help customers at this time, however krav mgra was getting over on them. They refused to let me cancel or freeze my account (even tho the owner specifically assured me that considerations could be made for extenuating circumstances) However as soon as real circumstance presented themselves, his words and the actions of the gym changed 180 degrees. They continued to change me ..and when I reached out they hide behind the contract and didn't answer emails in timely fashion (that was effectively null and void for this time period per the governors and attorney generals orders) Attorney General Frosh's orders: "All gyms, health clubs, fitness centers and self-defense schools in the state have been closed to the public since March 16 due to the COVID-19 crisis. Gov. Larry Hogan's stay-at-home executive order mandated that Marylanders stay at home and closed all non-essential businesses. A fitness center cannot require a member with a contract to accept an online fitness option during the closure in lieu of offering a contract extension or a refund. Clubs who are charging for optional online services must price those services according to their value, Frosh's office said. A fitness center's policies for billing members during a closure is governed by Section 14-12B-04 of the state's Health Club Services Act". Regardless and in the face of this documentation "Mavel Sid Milian" the person in charge of customer service accounts scofffed in my face and refused to escalate my claim to someone that could help as well as continue to site the need for a cancel/freeze form with a doctors note. When it is not necessary due specifically and only to the covid pandemic I have never felt so disrespected and scammed. Especially coming from an amicable stance, wanting nothing more than to train with the gym and support. This is a prime example of the crooked business ethics of krav mgra Md. I WOULD RECCOMEND YOU FIND ANOTHER ..ANY OTHER.. MARTIAL ARTS GYM.. so you are not taken advantage of or scammed. Now I must report them to the attorney generals task force when I wanted nothing more than to train and support. Mavel Sid Milian.. one of the main perpetrators of the fraudulent charges. Beware !

Krav Maga Maryland is the real deal. The training I've obtained in the last three years has been simple, effective, and based on real world scenarios. If you're looking for a cool, supportive, and, positive environment for learning how to defend yourself, I highly recommend looking into KMMD. The techniques are solid, the instructors are knowledgeable, and the classes are intense. The variety of classes and additional seminars allow for tremendous growth IF you are willing to make the commitment. The advanced level techniques are built on the things learned in Levels 1&2 so repetition and proper technique are extremely important. Most of the negative comments I've seen are coming from those who think attending class once a week for a month of two will have them ready to compete for a UFC title shot. It's a gym folks...The results you get are proportionate to the work you're willing to put into it. If you consider this before joining and understand the focus here is about learning how to persevere in a violent confrontation, you will find Krav to be extremely rewarding.

The only thing that I love more than the class itself are the staff. They’re professional, patient and amazing! They teach you self-defense and empowerment, while embedding muscle memory for protection in unpredictable situations. Not just a workout class - it’s a workout family. Love them!

I went on the 6 Week Challenge at KMMD and lost 16lbs and gained a much healthier set of habits for dieting and exercising. The strength and conditioning classes at 6am force you to ensure you get a healthy amount of sleep and really jumpstart your day. S&C Instructor Maddie was incredibly energetic and knowledgeable every morning and, having done the challenge herself, was a great contact during the diet. I will definitely be returning to KMMD!!

I love to train at this gym. I started Krav when I was starting 6th grade. All the instructors and student encourage you to get better. You can make new friends there. All the good students and staff there. You really start Krav if you are not doing a martial arts start doing martial arts at Columbia Place. Every staff and students will welcome you and help you out in marital arts classes.
