Called 09/16 to make an appointment for my dog given a concern about lymphoma. Was told that was concerning and that the vets there could do biopsy and could "look it under the microscope". Had an appointment set for tomorrow. Did not get a call or text to confirm. So I call them today and was told no record of an appointment and they offered me an appointment earliest in October...given the concern they just wasted my time and my dog's time.

We have a whole little menagerie---five cats and a very silly dog---and we take all of them to Hickory Ridge. I trust Dr. Mustapha and Dr. Parrish, and they've offered us realistic and compassionate advice and care plans on how best to take care of our furry family. I never feel like they are pressuring me into procedures or care that doesn't seem necessary, which I've felt at other places. They've also made great referrals to other specialists when another practice would be better suited to what needs doing. I feel like they put the little fuzzballs first!
The facility is always clean and welcoming. The waiting room is small-but-cozy, but that seems expected from a practice that gives such personal service. I never have to wait very long. And it smells nice!
The staff and techs that work here are very sweet, work very hard, and are incredibly patient. We have one cat in particular who has a very hard time with vet visits and they have made bringing him in as low-stress as possible. They know and remember my little guys and are great to them: I've never had to worry about leaving them in their care, and they know all the tricks to deal with our more anxious babies.
This isn't fast-food animal care. I feel like I *might* pay slightly more than I would at one of the big names, but even if that's true, I'm glad to do it: I feel like my guys deserve the best experience I can give them. And I want to keep having the kinds of positive, caring experiences I've had with Hickory Ridge over the nearly ten years I've been going there.

I waited MONTHS for my appointment, and I was unable to catch my cat for the appointment. I called Hickory Ridge to let them know, and they said that I would have to pay a deposit when I make the next appointment. I understand the deposit, but they could be more understanding considering I had to wait months for the appointment.

The doctors are never rushed with answering questions and provide follow up calls promptly. The support staff are always friendly and helpful.

I love Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital! We’ve been going there for years and the whole staff takes such good care of my dog. They communicate well before, during, and after appointments and take time to make my nervous dog feel safe when he’s there.

This is a well-run practice and I'm glad I found it. Dr. Parrish has been wonderful in helping us navigate several health challenges emerging in our senior beagle--she blends the science and empathy of this profession well.
