Great products, friendly people, and a great location! This location usually gets busy fast, so I recommend going early.

This used to be THE store in Columbia. The employees were friendly, greeted you cheerfully no matter where you were in the store, had ample checkout lanes always open, was clean, well stocked, and reasonably priced. ALL OF THAT IS GONE. Today, 11-14-23, I turned away from many products I usually buy because the prices were absurd. A pound of yesterdays fried chicken -- $10.00. Yep. I usually buy it for my dog, but no more. Many items were absurdly over priced. The only open checkout lane was being operated by someone from central America who spoke no English, had NO training, and simply had no business there. I tried the self-check machines. They were broken...not operative. Went back to the line and after another 10 minutes or so an large woman took over with great anger on her face. She did check me out quickly, tossing my items down the belt to the previous checker who had been relegated to bagging. She was no better at bagging, clumsily tossed random items in the bags, all while the checkout woman gave me continuous glares of utter contempt. After all, I was not happy and my face probable said so. One smile, one friendly word in English, would have made all the difference, but these people do not care. Not in the least. The sad truth is, that while this store is largely unstocked, dirty, and manned by people who hate customers, the same is true of ALL Grocery stores in this sanctuary city, another dumping ground for illegal and incompetent foreigners who have no idea how to do anything.

Not only is this the worst Harris Teeter I've been too, but it's one of the worst grocery stores in the area, easily. Every time I've been here, things are consistently out of stock, and despite the 8 check out lanes, only 1-2 people are ever working them, causing the self checkout lane to perpetually be endless. Every. Time.I figured after a year or so things might improve, but quite the opposite. This is what I get for not just going to Wegmans as usual. Only go here if a quick, easy trip to the grocery store is something you loathe.

I will be actively typing every memory that was bad there including the wireless internet problem and the refusal to install anti-theft gates and your stores unwillingness to hire a security guard or bag checkers. This letter is indicating that I quit. I don't wish to resign, this letter is not a means to try to make it look anything like you folks firing me when you never choose to in the first place, I am quitting to work on my passions and finally go to work for myself or any gardening hobby and I will be in touch for my lost wages and I need a net refund of the work jacket, I will be keeping my apron. I will be dropping off my work shirts in the morning of Saturday July 15th 2023, you cannot fire me I am leaving your business location 382 in order to fix this 382 terrible sloppy rats nest hem-job, so much disdain and way too much disrespect dished towards me. I will find a way to untangle this mess and fix how poorly managed 382 is just watch, if I ever do visit again it's going to be a stunning day because I'll be wearing my ceo suit. Cannot fire me, I deserve my damn desk. I'm going to be taking a 2 month student break, maybe even longer. This is my resignation with regards to fix this broken relationship store and try to solve this missent orders for all Harris Teeter locations in the future, very near future. I've been chewed up a bit too much over 25 times and I might be lowballing the number. I cannot and will not let my brain child store be twisted and knarled by Randoms in the management and corporate levels and I will rehire Chris Pine to be my male secretary. I'm on hiatus, protected by the disability rights card I've activated 7/14/2023 you'll rather not hear me bringing up my lawyer because I do have one. Part2.

I came in to pick up a few items on my WIC list, cheese, eggs, and some apple juice. I grab some other items I wanted to try, I just wanted a quick trip in and out. My lil one (1.5 yr old) asleep in the stroller needing a diaper change::: just the back story, I went to self checkout to be a lil faster, but the machine did not let me use my WIC card a young lady came to help but had to search for her manager to cancel the order, he came cancelled it and then she asked me to go to a check out line. The lady at the check out sent me back to her, the you g lady tried to check me out on her screen but couldn't, I had to go to customer service to RE-SCAN my items and check out. At this point we are all annoyed, I wasn't able to put my number in for the other items I had, which the only reason I bought was because they were on special. I had to return to customer service and return the item. All this could had been prevented if the staff both were trained better and cared to even learn. At the end of this ordeal my lil one was awake and I wasted 10min trying to figure this situation out. I Will Not be returning.

I waited 15 minutes to ask the manager for help with an unreimbursed coupon sent by Harris Teeter, and Gordon, the man who identified himself as manager at the customer service desk was rude, utterly unempathetic, uncaring, and abrupt. He said $5 was not enough to worry about. Well, I have other businesses who are more than helpful, respectful, and responsive, and actually don't run out of sale items that are advertised. I will not be visiting the King's Contrivance Harris Teeter in Columbia, MD, and that loss of hundreds a month or thousands a year I will redirect to places that actually are mannered and kind, like Sprouts or Wegman's in Columbia. Bye Gordon. You are not in the food business. You are in the customer service business, and what you did to me, I am sure others are experiencing at this store as well. Someone should consider that people such as Gordon gradually sink businesses. In time.

A different pharmacy did not have a prescription in stock and could not be bothered to take the effort to move my prescription to another store. The people at Guilford Road readily undertook the effort to make it all well. Why can one branch be so helpful and outgoing while the other be so dismissive and uncaring?

I been coming here for a long time. Customer service is great. I always find what I need at HT. Prices are affordable compared to similar supermarkets. The deli and meat departments are generally very good.

Trying to get any prescription filled is like pulling teeth. and they never answer the phone so i can call and ask if my prescriptions are ready so i have to come in then stand around for 15-30 minutes for them to put a bottle into a bag and give it to me.

Appreciate the pharmacy but not the long checkout lines after shopping…especially on a busy Saturday morning. Need more cashiers at checkout when when lines are 3 or more people long.

The only good thing about this store was the sweet lady @ customer service
