I spoke with Ricardo and he was professional and patient in working with me to diagnose the problem with our system. Not only did he help to establish a baseline (on the phone without seeing the system), he also recommended a solution. I appreciate the fact that he didn't try to sell us anything but as a result when it's time to buy that 95"or 98" television, Gramophone will be our resource. Thank you so much.

A great place to buy audio equipment. Sure there are lots of online dealers but at Gramophone you can see, touch, feel and hear the product you want. After spending hours with me auditioning equipment, Ricardo helped me configure an awesome stereo system to fit my budget and my den, even delivering and installing it himself four years ago. With his help again, I recently upgraded my amp. Wow! I’m a very happy customer.

An audiophile's dream. High-quality home theater equipment, stereo setups, and outdoor audio equipment with friendly staff that care about providing you with a great purchasing experience. Gramophone does home theater design and installation, too. Although most of what they have on display is purchasable by people in a much higher tax bracket than me, I loved looking around and dreaming. They said they can order anything I wanted, so I'll most likely go back when I'm ready to get Sony speakers. It's cool that a store like this still exists!

We had our entire basement redone, installing a theater room with an AV rack (and 3 other smaller TV's throughout the basement), ceiling speakers, a wet bar/half kitchen with cabinets and countertop, a home gym, updating the bathroom, replacing the carpets with LVT and new carpet, painting, furniture, electrical, and lighting. Everything is automated and on WiFi controlled devices. The permitting and inspections were handled by Gramophone; all I had to do was open the door when they arrived. It took about 2 months to complete the entire job. Everything was designed with a professional and the AV technicians customized all the equipment to our requirements and everything still works great after 6 years.What really impressed me was their customer support. One of the new circuit breakers kept tripping and their technician made multiple trips to diagnose, discuss with the manufacturers, and correct the problem. The same thing happened to one of the light switches and they found a solution to our issue. That was in the first couple of months after completing the renovation. I then had an issue where the remotes weren't turning on the TV's; this is just this week, 6 years later. I e-mailed them on Sunday morning, and I had multiple responses by noon that day. I was pleasantly shocked to receive such a rapid response, even more happy when they were able to access our account and diagnose the problem remotely. Their fix was simple and I was able to make the change on my own. I was back up and running that night.So, if you're wanting to get a theater room or do a whole renovation, then Gramphone provides designers, technicians, equipment, furniture, and licensed contractors all in one place. Sure, I could've probably done everything myself, but I'd still be working on it even now, 6 years later. And their customer support is absolutely top shelf! I highly recommend Gramophone and the very capable and friendly folks at the Columbia, MD branch.

This event in Columbia was great. Factory reps demoing awesome gear in a variety of classes and functions - theater, home audio, vinyl, streaming, media, etc. Being able to ask questions of the factory experts was great. The food was a nice surprise…When we renovated our home we used Gramophone for an audio equipment, furniture, and a lot of the design choices. That was 13 years ago and we still love every aspect of the execution and the choices. I feel like it was a great investment. This was before gramophone had construction services, but based on our experiences with installation and design, working with our architect, etc, we definitely would have considered that.
