This is my second visit with Amanda. She is a beautiful smiling soul that takes pride in her work. Amanda has listened to me, questioned my vague requests to truly hone in on what I want. I found her attention to detail reassuring. This stylist listens to her clients. I love her. The Solon is tasteful and clean in an historic building. The front desk girls are welcoming. Book here!

Let me start off by saying I struggle with thin hair and it’s due to an autoimmune disease. I KNEW I was not going to leave this salon with an all the sudden full thick hair. But I did want to have the opportunity for a professional to look at my hair and let me know if my hair was a lost cause or if there was hope.
I did some research after seeing the newest head spa trend on TikTok. Found Gloss and decided to give it a try because there aren’t many places that offer these treatments.
This was not my normal salon and I did not have any hair salon treatments just the spa.
The booking process was pretty easy, I called and no one answered but I left a voicemail and the receptionist called me back the same day. I had my appointment at 9:30am on a Wednesday and Brittani was my hair guru if you will lol. She was phenomenal. We talked the whole time. She was sweet and personable and friendly and honestly had the perfect hair so I felt at ease knowing she was taking care of my hair. We looked at my hair under the scope light, my hair was fairly clean and healthy according to her and so we moved onto treatment. We did a double wash, a steam treatment with hair mask, a serum placement and blow dry and then follow up analysis. It was a nice experience. I never felt pressured to buy things or sign up for things. Overall just a really great experience and I probably will go again.
My ONLY qualm, was for $145 I would have loved to maybe have the blow out included, or a massage or mini facial, or something. Or just seemed like a lot of money for a hair wash and treatment but then again I also am not a salon goer so this could absolutely just make sense.
Highly recommend Brittani though. I will refer all of my friends to her.

I decided to treat myself to a scalp spa with Brittni and it was amazing! We started with the scalp analysis so we could figure out what to focus the treatments on. The products all smelled amazing, and Brittni really took the time to pamper my hair and scalp and make me feel relaxed and special. I would absolutely recommend this service and Brittni if you are looking to spend some extra time on yourself. My hair is shiny and my scalp feels so much better!

Yesterday was my first appointment with Brittni. I have to say that I’ve been in the hair industry managing a salon before. I’ve had a dozen of different hair stylists I’ve seen prior, and Brittni by far gave me the best color and cut I’ve ever had. Her color skills are excellent. My biggest issue was already damaged hair around the frame of my face, and I wanted to go lighter but knew I risked more damage. Brittni somehow took me lighter and revitalized my damaged hair. I’m amazed. The cut is also so well done. Taking off only my dead ends while giving me dimension and shape and keeping my length as much as possible. I will certainly be back, and I’ll be booking my appointments in advance because I have no doubt that Brittni’s chair will be full if it isn’t already. Thank you Gloss Hair Studio!

everyone here is so so nice and makes sure you are very comfortable. the environment is very clean and amazing. i went in to go blonde and hailey did an amazing job. she talked to me and asked me if i needed anything multiple times. im so serious if you want to go blonde HAILEY is the person to do it!!

Loved the salon; it’s really neat and stylish. Did hair tensils with a young lady. She was great and attention to detail was amazing. However, I wanted 12 tensils, but she added extra 1 and I was charged extra $5. That seemed too much just for one hair tensil.

I went to Gloss just last week for the first time for a brow lift & lamination. I have had multiple brow laminations done before, but none even come close to as perfect as they were when Hope was finished. I was in the market for a new brow girl, and I def found her! The salon itself is beautiful as well! ?

Went a few times. Hair turned out just ok each time but had some issues 2/3 of the visits. No refund for mess ups (per their policy). Generally I feel they are over priced and inexperienced (all very young girls who seem to have only been doing hair for a short amount of time?). Also not a fan of management’s attitude when bringing up the last issue. Pretty uncomfortable to address the issue in the first place (not to mention my hair was orange and poorly cut), but makes it worse to deal with when your met with an irritated and fairly unapologetic response. Giving 3 stars because the artists were at least nice girls, just not doing good enough work to pay hundreds for a cut and color… are we in OEC or downtown DC?… either way, didn’t feel the service reflected 4.8 stars so here’s my honest review.

Amanda is the best! My daughter and I both go to her for color/cut/style and we absolutely love her. She always does an amazing job and exactly what we want. I always enjoy my time chatting with her too.
