This is the worst pharmacy ever but what can you do even talking to the management does no good

Went to this store today and purchased $100 worth of groceries and other items. Self checkout clerk came up to me and asked me if I had rang up my three balloons. I replied yes she walked away and returned back only to ask if do I mind if she checked. While she did so, I told her I have no reason to lie as these were some of the first things I scanned in. I reported this behavior to the store manager Brandon who apologized but that doesn’t change the fact that this employee tried to insinuate I was stealing! I was truly insulted that she would think I would steal $15 ($4.99 each) worth of balloons when I purchased steaks chicken and other items that was over $100 total! They need to train their employees better. Everyone does NOT steal and that type of treatment to innocent paying customers is totally unacceptable!

Every time I shop at Giant when I go to the seafood counter, Marcus always greeted me with such warmth and great customer service. I have since moved out of Columbia. But I wish him the best and I hope he will get far at Giant Foods......May

I think I'm going to have to stop coming here which stinks because it is so convenient but all the recent changes are making my shopping experience terrible. The self check out is now only 20 items or less and the machines yell at you when you're packing up your groceries and you can't put the bags in your cart without setting it off. When I shop, I mostly have more than 20 items, which is what most people have too. So one would think they would have multiple regular registers open. WRONG. every time I have been there since this change there has been ONE register open. This is so frustrating. Not only that, but their stock has been much lower lately and their deli meat quality has gone downhill quick.

Giant foods was once a high-quality regional brand. It was family owned and well loved by customers and staffers alike.All good things must come to an end, of course. And they did when European grocery conglomerate Royal Ahold bought Giant Foods many years ago.The Giant near me at Center Park Drive is a symptom of the problems that can occur when a large corporation takes possession of a storied local brand.This store at Centre Park is very poorly managed, in my opinion. In the produce aisle, you'll find lots of vegetables that are wilted and on the edge. Some days fruit like strawberries have mold on them in the package. The seafood section is not a place where I would ever tempt fate and purchase fresh seafood. Stick with frozen if shopping here.I find selection of multiple brands to be a problem as well. There just does not seem to be as much variety as there used to be...even ordinary items, not on the shelf. Who's doing the ordering for this store?Another pet peeve of mine about Giant shopping is prices. Giant is an expensive grocery store. It also has a bad habit of not labeling some items with the correct price. Many many times I've had to go to the manager to get money back from the sale price not being reflected in the actual check out.What this has meant to me is that I don't trust the Giant -- I always check prices twice to make sure I'm not being overcharged for items and I suggest you do the same.I don't have kind words for the pharmacy either. Very nice people. But incredibly slow. I recently went to the pharmacy and asked to buy through my insurance a pack of COVID-19 tests. I was told 20 to 30 minutes. So I walked around the store and did some shopping. When I returned after 30 minutes, I asked the rep behind the counter if my order was ready. I was told no, 10 to 20 minutes more.Very frustrating! I told her I wasn't waiting and I left. When I got to my car in the parking lot, I received a text saying my prescription was suddenly ready. I don't know why I had to wait 40 minutes for someone at the pharmacy to basically hand me a box of tests that are not controlled substances and aren't even drugs.This is why I am swearing off Giant Foods for good. Royal Ahold has gotten its way and destroyed what was once the best supermarket experience in the Baltimore, DC region. As I said, all things must come to an end. And so, I am off now to Trader Joe's, or Costco, or Harris Teeter, or Wegmans. Any place but Giant.I know these are what we call first world problems, but we have to stay on top of things like this, or large corporations will continue to take advantage of consumers with shoddy service, high prices, and a dwindling selection of products.

Giant quality is long gone ... today old potatoes, with small sprouts going in a 5 lb bag, were regular price, not mark down.on a large amount, you produce manger is asleep ..Bakery corporate Giant, FAKE Bluberry Pie, counter 5 bluberry's per slice, the rest was some wet starch colored blue. Lastly was the self checkout if you delay more than a few seconds, it is insulting shut that st thing off and respect your customers intelligence ... And that is why I go to Leidel or ALDI, they have qulality & great prices...Wallmart has you beat too. So keep it up Giant Management and you will end up with loosing money just like a Bud Lite ... very very soon.

What did you do to your Rotisserie chicken??? Look at the picture attached. That was also pretty sneaky putting that skinless side down to fool the customer. Your "A touch of Honey" Rotisserie chicken used to be the best around! Even better than Wegmans or Costco Rotisserie. Changing the container to plastic bag is a bad idea. Hot Rotisserie chicken and putting it in plastic, great! The oil somehow is all over the outside of the stupid plastic bag! Ever heard of Chemicals from plastic getting in food when it is hot? Taste - what happened? did you stop seasonjng the chicken before cooking? It has no taste. It's like you took frozen chicken and just threw it on the spit! Texture - when I picked up the chicken it just started crumbling and falling apart. What the heck is that? I'm so sad, my favorite Giant Rotisserie is ruined!!!

There's an odor coming in and sometimes the seafood department. The hot bar is tacky with aluminum foil, etc. It's not as inviting as it once was. The Olney store has it right (especially their hot and cold food). Can we look at what they are doing and mirror that? It's understood that it's a larger store...it's the quality that I'm interested in. Would much rather rely upon my local Giant vs having to find it elsewhere. Btw, please put locks on your carts - they're all over, especially on Cradlerock and it's side streets.

Had an appointment for a pediatric vaccine at 6pm and arrived at 5:45pm based on calling to confirm. There was 1 person waiting ahead of me. No one picking up prescriptions. I waited 45 minutes without explanation. This is the slowest customer service I’ve ever experienced with no patrons. They lack regard for their customers time. Avoid!!!!

Jumie the pharmacist was great! She really showed that she cared and took time to make sure I got what I needed despite insurance holdups.
