Worst bank ever. ! Poor customer service. Unwilling to help customers. They will lie, cheat and do anything they can , not to help you solve your problem. ! Highly recommend any other bank. !

This is a story not about why I’m not currently a Bank of America customer, but why Bank of America will never even be an option for me in the future.\ \ I receive child support enforced through the state of Maryland. It goes on to a “epic” card which is basically a prepaid credit card. In order to get cash I have to go in person to a teller (I could transfer it, but the cash pay card site is just atrocious).\ \ My card broke as I pulled it from my wallet. The lady shrugged and said she couldn’t help me. I asked her for tape, I could (and ultimately did) tape it back together.\ \ Her response “are you a Bank of America customer” to which I responded not anymore. I already knew where this was going.\ \ She gets me tape, I tape it together and ask her to swipe it now.\ \ She swiped the card slow and at an angle. No card works the way she was swiping it. Were I paranoid I’d swear she was deliberately swiping it wrong. I asked her to humor me and just swipe it normally and she said “I can’t the tape is in the way.”\ \ This woman was deliberately swiping my card incorrectly and refusing to help me because I’m not a Bank of America customer, yet Bank of America is the servicer/provider for this card.\ \ So I drive across Columbia to another Bank of America. Walk in, do my thing, ask for my money, the guy swipes the card without issue and boom it works. What a surprise.\ \ This location I’ve always had issues with. Generally unhelpful, I have more success getting information out of my 10 year old then I do these tellers.\ \ I closed my account with Bank of America years ago because of similar reasons. Do yourself a favor, get a local bank or credit union and don’t give this company your money.

Although not close to me, this is my go-to BofA branch. Not only are their associates incredibly helpful, but they are extremely well-trained and qualified. On December 30th, my mom and I visited this location because we needed last-minute help opening a new account. That's when we had the pleasure of meeting with Relationship Manager Heidi Kouobou. She didn't just help us open an account, but she truly showed she cared about our experience. My mother, who only speaks Spanish, was dreading going to the bank because she thought she would not understand. However, that was not the case here. Heidi, who is originally from Africa, shocked us by speaking to my mother in Spanish and explaining every step in detail. Did I mention she also speaks German?! Unreal. Thank you so much Heidi for being such an amazing manager and for having such patience with us, especially the day before NYE. We can't wait to meet with you again!!!

The cool thing is this branch has the $10 ATM machines so that's fun. The meh is that every time you go to this branch they'll hammer you to take advantage of some new deal with auto loans or credit cards. Sure they might say it'll just take two minutes but you're gonna be stuck for at least five. Nothing ever comes of those transactions other than an empty feeling of why do I even bank here. And this is a perfect example of why online banking will eventually be the gold standard. Treat me like a client not like a customer at a used car dealership.

Worst service ever! Line out the door drive thru closed and 1 teller. Abysmal level of customer service. This isn't my bank but I use it to pay my rent. I only come in once a month and since I've moved here the scenario NEVER improves. The amount of time lost dealing with bank is equivalent to lost wages, being double billed, or getting a cold pizza delivered late. This bank is from 1995. Its sucks.

Every time I've been here there is a long line and always just ONE teller. Makes no sense when some people are just standing around not doing anything.

Ridiculously slow service. I waited 20 mins just to start the check cashing process. Needless to say I am glad I am not a member. You hired a lady to stand at the door and greet guests and tell everybody how much more slower the service is going to be instead of equipping her with the skillset to expedite service. Please make it make sense. Friendly staff. Very kindly told me there's nothing that they can do about the wait. Very sweet yet very discouraging.

So now not only is the wait horrible, the drive thru NEVER open, but you have to divulge your business to the inquisitor at the front door every time you enter. Seriously BOA. Figure this stuff out. And let me make my payment online. Sheesh. You're a national bank. Catch up. Again, two employees at the door asking people why they're here and ONE teller helping a line of almost 10 people?? Stupid business practices. Stop interrogating customers and start helping your line move faster.
