There is something going on at the Towson Town center Aveda store. Previous visits always had really knowledgeable staff and really great service. I used to be able to come in at slack times and get a healthy herbal tea and even a neck massage. All this and good products along with good advice on which products suited me kept me coming back in spite of some high prices. Then last birthday visit in March I saw a change.The two women offered no services and didn't seem to know the products. Then I needed refills of a few products.(I depend on thé Be Curly hair product and their eye cream.) I went to the mall at 3pm on a weekday and the store was closed. I had called and no answer. I asked an employee at the candy store two doors down. They didn't know. I called again two days later at 11am and a woman answered unprofessionally, so I had to ask if I had reached the store. Since she said it was open, I went and found one woman working there. She was on a personal call when I came in and took a bit to acknowledge me and then read jar directions to answer a question. She was friendly but hardly aware. Is Aveda committing suicide?

Great experience with Donna at Aveda in Columbia Mall! Donna has worked in beauty industry for many years and is VERY knowledgeable. Aveda discontinued my favorite face powder :( (@Aveda please bring it back). Donna was able to not only recommend a comparable brand but even suggested what worked better for my skin tone. Thank you Donna for providing such a wonderful experience.

I went to this store for a facial and Destiny did an amazing job and even incorporated other techniques from different schools of thought it was just amazing. I highly recommend it and it's free. their products are outstanding and all natural. AMAZING!!

Never heard of this brand before. As I was at the mall today waiting to enter a store right next to Aveda, a representative came to me very rude to inform me that I couldn’t stay in front of their store. Not sure if it was because I had working clothes on or what. Just felt it was unnecessary and wanted to expose here the situation. Hope she doesn’t treat other people the same way.

I never felt welcomed whenever I go there. In fact, more like I am bothering them. I used to get facial here. When I was paying for it upfront, I was told it doesnt expire. One day, she told me “we dont do it any more”. I asked “what do you mean?” No explanation she just repeated the same words. It’s not like they ran outta products. Just decided to stop doing it? I was upset about it cuz i wasted money but I am partially glad I dont have to go back there again.
