I bought these pellets at the end of a long cold winter. I noticed the first bag didn't seem to heat as well and burned twice as fast even as the temperature climbed from single digits to the mid twenties, At first I feared my stove was failing when I had to burn a whole bag in less time than half of a bag of other brands lasted. And didn't produce near as much heat. I then put in a bag of another brand and had to turn my feed rate from 5 down to 2 to be warm enough. From now on it's only premium hardwood for me.

The pellets these people sell at lowes states they are hard wood pellets. NOT! they are softwood pellets, PINE, and give off less heat and burn faster. Do not buy them. At Lowe's I asked them to get me down a skid of Prest O Log pellets and they would not. said I had to but the AWF instead
