The level of incompetence is astounding. There is nothing on the shelves, just boxes everywhere, and they don’t even order the material required for classes. Ended up without my required materials because it is only sold there.I went there to pick up my chemistry supplies, which I placed an order online, and they had not picked anything, told me it would be 2 days to pick 4 items. I asked if I could just pick it myself then because I needed it. Turns out everything is in boxes meanwhile everyone is just standing around on their cellphones. I had to ask for help to open boxes and find the things I needed. The worst part was when I went to find my book and they tell me they never ordered enough books because they didn’t know that would be that many students in a class. Of course the book is specific to the university and nobody else has it. Now I don’t have my lab material due to their incompetence.

Extremely overpriced but at least the merch is quality. If you want anything school supplies or tech products from here, please it get from somewhere else because it's all extremely expensive.

If you have a bunch of money to spend, you can get Maryland gear. Otherwise, I wouldn't order any sort of school books from here as they will never arrive. Use amazon

Even though recently upgraded, the UMD Online Bookstore system struggles. They have been charging their books and or other products twice. I recently brought two books and returned them after I discontinued a class that required them. As you can see in these photos, these are the bank statements of them taking back and forth these charges. Since I spend a significant amount of time arguing with my bank and with customer service at UMD, I regret purchasing books online from UMD in the first place. I would not recommend you buying books from the UMD Online Bookstore at ALL. I learned my lesson not to buy UMD bookstore books online but rather to purchase them in person. It will assist me in avoiding dealing with any extra charges for books or other products in the future.

Absolutely the best place ever. With inflated prices, I would never even think of getting a book anywhere else. Certainly not through piracy, absolutely not, can you imagine being such a scurvy pirate that you would even *consider* piracy? If so, you need to eat some lemons.

The Book Center is more than a place to gain knowledge. It's a place to gain some sweet UMD drip!!! The clothing variety is great, made with top notch under armour and Champion material. You can get plushies for your kids, hoodies for hoodie season, and sneaks for the drip check.That's not all! When you head downstairs you enter the Book Center. All your academic needs: textbooks, notebooks, pencils, pens, calculators, computer stuff, lab coats, everything you need to be prepared for class. In addition, it's like any other book store, as you can get the latest books from many subjects and genres. They also have manga and comics: I know the zoomers love those.All in all, head to the Book Center for drip and knowledge: you won't regret it.

Received a $50 charge that wasn’t mine from the university bookstore. I called multiple times and left multiple messages over the course of the week. No response whatsoever. I wanted to speak with a store representative to deal with the charge internally, but I suppose I now have to report it as fraud. Thanks for nothing.

The absolute best UMD apparel but like everyone says, the prices are horrendous. It’s a state university but they charge like everyone that goes there comes from a Harvard family background of 200k+ family household income. I grabbed a UMD polo tee and a sticker. I paid around 120$. The sticker was 20$ and the shirt 100$...
