645 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, Washington“Neat little tabletop gaming store that host events regularly. Staff were very nice and helpful and you can tell they all genuinely love and care about their jobs.”
“I love coming to 3 Gear. Their selection is well curated, with latest hits, plus great merch (I’m particularly fond of the cantrip candles). Game room, events, and rpg nights have always been a ton of fun when I’ve gone. Also always given me great recommendations when I’m shopping for someone else.”
“Cozy and typical local hobby store vibes. Very large and diverse selection of Gundam and Gunpla adjacent model kits. So much it was a little overwhelming [not in a bad way]. Everything from simple HG to MG and a few PG. Was looking for more on the tool/sanding side, but based on the website if I really needed specific things I could simply order them accordingly. Overhearing employee conversations they seem knowledgeable on other aspects of the store (Rockets, Trains, RC, etc.). Worth a visit.”
“Great store. 1st time visitors and enjoyed the choice of products available. In fact so much I called family to invite them to shop and support. The staff is helpful and friendly.”
“My favorite place visited during my trip, staff was friendly and kind. The shop was designed well and item’s featured were done great, lots of things to choose from and options available. For the size of the store compared to other large boxy art places back home this shop was definitely better than them and I felt more welcomed and one with art here. Came back twice during my 5 day stay in DC, and it was nice for them to have student discounts as well!!”
“Smelled weird, not like a craft store. Parking validation is nonexistent and have to pay 8 dollars. But it’s convenient since the garage elevator leads you straight into the store. Employees were nice as well. Well stocked.”
“if you are buying decorations for any occasions, that is the place to be...
use 40 % discount when it is available.
I buy stuff after Christmas or after valentine's day for 70% off.”
“Well, they didn’t have the specific glue I was looking for – crafters pic, the staff there was extremely friendly and helpful. I was making a purchase for a class I’m teaching and had an tax exempt certificate. Although it took us half an hour to get me checked out, Two of the staff member learned how to process a tax exempt sale. So it was a win all the way around.”
“Had a good experience here, although have trouble wondering if the card I got my hands on are customs or official rookie cards. Would appreciate if one of you guys could help assist me, thank you! Are these customs or real rookie cards?”
“MERCEDES IS AMAZING!! I had an incredible experience when I went to get a customized frame for my diploma. the assistance I received from Mercedes was truly exceptional. Her expertise, patience, and kindness made my visit absolutely amazing. Thank you Mercedes!”
“I am so pleased with my visit to the frame shop in the Michael's store in Laurel. Joseph went above and beyond to repair a custom frame and replace the broken glass after it had fallen. I just come for an estimate and thought they might ask me to return once I removed the broken glass. But Joseph (the frame shop manager) thought nothing of it and took care of it right away. Friendly fast service, I will return for custom framing in the future.”
“Allan and Josh were amazing. They were next level with everything. Today I should have purchased a gaming system where the store and its staff would've received sales credit, instead I had to replace a controller for the 5th time due to THE SAME manufacturer's defect. SHAME ON SONY FOR THIS SCAM! GREAT WORK to Gamestop!! This was a birthday gift that I'm replacing AGAIN for years now the same exact item. I should be celebrating today, but I feel completely SCAMMED by SONY and i should because i wasted money. Gamestop and it's staff today should be recognized for their great work.”
“Born in the state of Maryland but live in the state of New York. Owner of selected coins brought from a Russian & German antique shop. New York coin dealer suggest to where I was born. Thank you.”
“Very friendly staff, helped a guy new to the DnD game figure things out in a welcoming way. Host a weekly board game night on Thursdays that also includes some "drop-in" DnD opportunities. I'm not a big card game guy or complicated board games guy in general, but if you are--this place seems to have them all. Miniatures, too, and plenty of paints if that's your thing. Highly recommend if you're in the area and a games fan!”
