I had a good relationship with this location until December 28th 2024. I took my car in for a routine service check: oil change, tire rotation, etc. There is a waiting area equipped with a monitor where you can watch your car being serviced. I saw when my car came into the service area and was raised up. I never witnessed a tire rotation. I watched the technician Jason go raised the hood, do an oil change and that's all. He lowers my car and brings it back outside. I spoke with the Assistant Service Manager named Jonathan and told him that my tires had not been rotated. He said that the technician Jason would handle it. My car was taken back to the service area a second time, again no tire rotation was conducted. Jason lied to my face two times and stated that my tires had been rotated. I directed my attention towards Jonathan and requested that I did not want Jason working on my car. Jason was switched out and someone else took my car back for a third time. During this time I was not able to see where my car was or witness what was being done. Now I realized that I can't trust this location anymore. I was told that an investigation would be conducted. Well long story short, I received a phone call yesterday from Selene, Hyundai National. She shared it had been decided that this particular location no longer wanted to do business with me. Wow, I'm the person that was wrong and this is how they treat their customers! I feel betrayed and very disappointed. It's ok, because I was not going to take my car there ever again. The trust level is at an all time low. Customers need to be very sure that they are receiving the service expected to be done. What I witnessed has probably been done many times to other unsuspecting customers, and continues to happen. I became the problem when they got caught and I called them out on it. This location is very shady and should not be trusted!!! I would give a rating of zero if could.

Buying a car was a great experience; however they never called when my tags were delivered either. This is my second Hyundai. My Sonata was totalled by another driver at 185,000 miles, my new Kona continues to have service issues which they frequently trivialize. With less than 15,000 miles the engine shut down while driving it. They told Hyundai corporation that I had not serviced it in a year. I provided the servicing documentation to Hyundai Corporation to show that College Park Hyundai had serviced the car and was provided with a gift card for my inconvenience. After paying for a rental car for a week, College Park Hyundai provided me with a loaner vehicle. 40,000 miles and having done all of the dealer recommended servicing on time and at this dealership, the car is making a "coughing" sound before starting. Took it to an appointment on Thursday 12/26/2023 at the dealership and was told they were really busy so to try replacing the battery in the remote. They replaced the battery in the remote. That did not work so I made another appointment and took it back on Saturday 12/28/2024 to replace the battery. 12/28/2024 I was told they were really busy, nothing appeared to be wrong with the battery to just hold the remote closer to the ignition. The car continued to make a hesitating sound when starting. 1/4/2024 Took vehicle with an appointment to be told that they do not handle mechanical issues on the weekend. I made an appointment for 1/6/2025, left the car and rented a car since I have also been told that they cannot provide a loaner car without knowing there is an issue. I explained my concern that the car would breakdown and leave me stranded and was told "then we will just tow it". Of course on 1/6/2025 the day of my 8:15am appointment, it snowed so they are closed but my car is at the dealership. One more day to pay for a rental car. BTW they never called me when my tags were delivered either. I guess I just have to call Hyundai Corporation again.

A case study of why people don't trust mechanics. I reluctantly visited this Hyundai dealership after a hellish experience some time ago. My goal was to save money...as it turns out, would have been better to simply go somewhere else, regardless. Proving that sometimes you just need to cough up and get the job done right. They had our car out for nearly the entire day with relatively simple tasks on the agenda. The shuttle service was decent, except that it took almost 45 minutes for it to arrive (when we'd requested the shuttle in advance of the appointment). Once we'd left and been out for a while, a call to the shop revealed that the work could take far longer than originally stated. And that they actually had no idea of a time estimate. Very inconvenient when planning your day, especially with a small child in tow. In addition, the service I had done was supposed to include a test drive. Odometer proved that it did not occur. They also issued total guesswork over as it pertained to one other question about my car.

I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq five and brought it to be serviced here. The car was brought in for a software update that was supposed to be covered, but they immediately charged me $200 despite me displaying a letter from Hyundai cleaning service should be free because it was a recall. The service wasn't performed for two weeks and the car was returned to me. A new appointment was set and the car was returned to me, but this time the app informed me the car was never opened. My car started to experience battery issues in between then and the next appointment. I returned for another appointment where I was informed that the car had been successfully updated. The car died the next day on the highway at 13%, a mile from a charger. I have not had the car in four months. I've been promised a car as a loaner car by Hyundai two times and both times the service department fails to secure the car that they promised. Mike lies constantly and he is the head of the service department. I've had multiple phone calls with this person only for him to promise a return call and never call back. Not the next day, not the day after not the week after. Just never. Sales team is great, but they treat you like garbage after they make that sale! When Hyundai corporate settles this in six months and returns my money I will never buy a Hyundai ever again because of people like Mike and Joshua.

The service department wanted well over $600 to calibrate the forward collision warning laser because they said it would require 3 hours of work. i questioned this, even if the bumper needed to be removed, which takes about 10 minutes on a Youtube video. I was told to call around and I'd see that was the going rate. I did and found a service that came to my house, picked up the car, calibrated the laser in their shop and returned the car the same day by 1 p.m. for $425.

Had a price negotiated and agreed upon via text with the sales rep and sales manager. When I arrived I was told due to the low price of the car I was now required to pay for additional add ons. They were a key locator and some sort of protectant coating. When I asked to speak to the sales manager I told it was too late and I could call tomorrow.
So, I left the dealership and called for the General Manager the next day. He listened to the above occurrence and said he would call me back.
He called back an hour later and said the price was too low and he would be losing money. Then said he could only sell the car for the price online.
Very disappointing and a waste of time working with this dealership

There are discrepancies in the fees charged during my vehicle purchase.
- I am billed $135 for the vehicle registration fee. However, the standard registration fee for one year in Virginia is $45 (Virginia DMV Registration Fees).
- Additionally, I was charged $120 for the title fee, whereas Virginia does not impose a fee for the first title (Virginia DMV Title Fees).
I have approached the management to reimburse the overcharged amounts, totaling $210. However, one refers me to another, and the request is still pending. Please return my overcharged amount.

I dont know what is going on. I brought my care in 2021, and I called the dealership to speak to someone about getting a rebate on my GAP insurance. The person to whom I spoke with informed me that he knows nothing about GAP insurance. In fact, the new company recently brought the dealership and the old company went out of business. They have no phone number only an email address. This is unreal.

NEVER BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP! The level of gross incompetence and broken promises is beyond belief. I brought my car in to have the engine repaired and broken outside mirror replaced. My car was in the shop for EIGHT WEEKS!
It took one month to repair the engine, only when that was complete did they even think of ordering the mirror which took another four weeks to finally complete and it only works intermittently (proximity detector, etc.). but I'm not bringing it back since I'm sure it would take weeks to have them fix it. They don't return phone calls, contradict what other people said, and "guarantee" something will be complete by a certain date only to have it take weeks more.
Earlier this year, I had the car towed in since the starter had broken. After 10 days, 8 phone calls, 6 texts, and two visits, the car had not moved from where the tow truck had left it. The manager admitted that, had I not come in the second time, the car NEVER would have been looked at. Once they pushed it into the shop, it took less than two hours to fix.
I will never bring my car back to this dealership. I will drive to another Hyundai facility farther from my home in order to avoid dealing with them again. I bought my car from this dealership and the service department was good until a year or so when it went downhill. My son has also brought his Hyundai here for service work and has vowed he will never go back.
Incredibly poor service, totally incompetent staff, sitting on hold for 45 minutes or they repeatedly not returning calls, very slow service every time I brought it in this year, broken promises of completion date, having a manager claim something which another manager had already told me the opposite.

I came here for the first time because my driver mirror was damaged and had to get it fixed. The vibe there felt a bit unwelcoming. But then I met Joann who is a complete sweetheart and super helpful. She went out of her way to provide the best price to get my mirror fixed.
After the uncomfortable experience speaking with the front desk on the phone and in-person, Joann turned that whole experience around. She's definitely a light there in a dark place.

We were referred to Kevin from my sister who bought a car from him and was very satisfied. Other dealerships were giving us the run around but not them. Words cannot express how happy and satisfied we are. When we say Kevin and his team went above and beyond to get us the vehicle we wanted they did just that. We recommend anyone reading this to go with him and his team because they are all about helping you get what you want and treating you like family verse a customer. You would be crazy to not go here for your car buying experience. Thanks again for all you did for us!! TEAM KEVIN!!!!

Do not waste your time and money getting your car serviced here. I’ve always gone to the Hyundai dealership for service in every place I’ve lived, and have found them reliable and trustworthy. However, my experiences at College Park Hyundai over the past four years have left me at best frustrated and at worst angry. This last trip was the nail in the coffin for me.
My brake pedal release spring broke inside my car, and I figured I would get an oil change at the same time I got it fixed. I booked this appointment with the dealer figuring they would have the specific spring I needed. I made my appointment online and named the exact part I thought was broken. When I got there, they told me it was a 2 hour wait, which is fine, as they had other appointments. They called me 2.5 hours later to tell me that they did the oil change, but that “nothing was wrong with my brakes.” The broken spring had literally fallen onto my foot, so I asked them to take another look. Nearly another hour went by before they came back to tell me that yes, the exact part I already knew was broken was in fact broken, but that they would need to order the part. The service tech told me they “only had one spring that was in Texas” and that it would take 5 days to order, then told me that the part was “VIN specific” and that the part alone would cost $304, which I would need to pay up front. Thank god I had already done research and seen that brake pedal springs for 2013 Hyundai Sonatas go for as low as $45. They also quoted me $4000 for a bunch of other work they said I needed. At that point, I had been there for almost 4 hours, and all I had to show for it was an oil change. My car was still broken.
I took my car to an actual auto repair shop, and they told me the spring would cost $150 total to repair and take 1-2 days to order from Hyundai. They also quoted me $1400 for the rest of the work the dealer said I needed.
This service department is extremely slow, overpriced, and predatory towards people who don’t understand cars. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated and will never be taking my car to this service department ever again.
