They're fantastic. I went in for an e-bike tune-up, and they determined I'd save money just getting a couple a-la-carte repairs.
I also asked if they could fix something that was probably impossible (the handlebars were too far away from the seat), and they suggested maybe switching out the handlebars for curved, Dutch style ones.
It feels like a brand new bike, and is so much more comfortable to ride.
Also there was a shop dog 10/10

CP Bicycles is not a good place.
During the summer, I brought them a bike for repairing. I tried explaining the issue I was having: the gear-change system seems to strain the rear wheel and, sometimes, upon adjusting a gear change, the chain would get stuck. Upon readjusting, the wheel crooked and would get stuck in the bikeframe.
I brought the bike with the hope of getting this fixed, or at least getting some diagnosis better than what I could do myself. This wasn't the case. The treatment from the person who attended me wasn't good. Unnecessary comments like "this is not a good bike" and "I don't understand why people get bikes like these instead of buying them from us" kept interrupting the conversation and my exposition of the bike problems. I figured that the person probably knew a great deal about bikes and would be able to infer the issues by himself.
They charged me $100 for the service, and two days later, the bike had the exact same issue. I ended up taking it to UMD's bike shop and some student (not a specialized person that makes a living out of repairing bikes, just a student) ended up fixing it. Apparently, the wheel, being old, was out-of-dish and the spores needed readjusting. He spent some time doing that and the bike now runs well.
CP Bicycles took my money and didn't fix a problem with my bike because they were inattentive and incompetent. Horrible treatment, horrible service, and just a disappointment overall. Taking $100 from someone for their bike to be unrideable is certainly not a good way to conduct a business.

I recommend this shop to anyone looking to buy a bike or have maintenance done. They have the best service and are very knowledgeable and patient. Doug and the team are amazing!

Doug was really helpful and friendly on the phone and when I came to pick up my bike after they did repairs! An older gentleman with hearing aids, who I had forgotten to get the name of (sorry!), was also really helpful and friendly! He gave me a few tips that helped me commute a lil better with my milkcrate and my bike lock! Thank you guys so much!

This place is amazing. I sent my husband to get my bike fixed. They repaired it on the spot, did a once over, oiled the chains, and my husband was out in 30 minutes. The employees were polite and respectful. They took the time to explain what the issue was, and the pricing was very reasonable.

I was today years old when I realized that College Park Bicycles is across the street from my gym (Crunch) and TJs. Meanwhile, I've been in the area several dozen times over the past year! ??♀️ LOL!
After rolling with them for their anniversary ride this morning, they took a look at my bike and helped me get it back into the proper riding condition! Grateful for Marden, Phil and the CPB team! ? Needless to say, I'll be back!! ???

They are friendly, and help you right away.

I went in because I was having trouble putting together a walking bike. Despite this mobility device being new to them, the got everything put together in good working order in minutes, including a break line adjustment in just minutes for such a reasonable price. Definitely glad to have this shop as a long time neighbor.
