I absolutely hate this location. I've been coming here for years and it consistently gets worse and worse. The staff are not friendly or helpfull, the pharmacy is the worst, always so slow with a long line. The produce is always bate and sometimes the food is not fresh. The deli staff makes you feel like your bothering them. Unfortunately it is convenient as far as location so I continue to come.

Pro: big parking lot, clean environment, self serve lottery machine, lot of self check out machine, Con: always long line at customer service This store had a refresh on the inside a few years ago and still look new upon entering. Parking lot is big with plenty of space. The giant is next to smaller store such as subway and more. There is a lottery machine that is self use. The customer service area is always has long line due to only 1 person working back there. If this giant doesn't work out for you there is another giant by cherry hill shopping area that just open up recently.

Hello Welcome To Colesville Giant Food . This place used to be one of My favorite places to come shop at But . They had some recent scandals during the Pandemic I was not proud t see them involved in , Because they have Corporate Leaders that have No Clue to the direction they should be in when they should be about the Employees , Managers , And Customers . Instead they are about profit and self Greed and Not caring for their Own workers Nor Their own Managers . That disturbs me greatly . They were always fun having Charity Events Outside in front of their Stores , Even they Kicked out the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll drives from their store Which I do not know what happened . I think leadership must be going down hill or something . Giant should never put up with Corporate Or Regular Store Managers that have Psychological Disorders ( No People Skills ) . Because when it comes to any store they should be about the people , The Employees and Management . I have not seen that in a long while now. Sooner Or later things have to change . Their parking Lot is in Disrepair , They parking Lot is filed with trash on the grounds and carts everywhere including beyond the parking lot . This place has been newly renovated with new and bigger Departments such as Seafood , Deli , Meat , Produce , Dairy , Bakery , Floral , and more. Plus they have bigger Shopping Aisles and well labeled . Plus They had once carried My Pizza Flavored Goldfish Crackers and Now its no longer on the shelves there anymore , Neither Is My Appalachian Root beer in the 6 case . Plus they took away my Yogurt Covered Raisins and Yogurt Covered Pretzels which as a disappointment too me because I Loved shopping for them . Employments are not what they used to be during the pandemic . They staff I Once knew that were good and all are gone . I think Wrongfully Terminated Just like all the other stores did , Plus their Shipment truck strike and all didn't hep things Nor is the shortages of their inventory and Shipment needs . This place I thought was fun to be at and I am not sure about giving this place another Chance with all the problems o theirs Going on concerning the staffing and all . I wanted to give this Place a good Rating But I have to be truly honest in my professional review . I think policies Concerning Management and how they handle Customers Need to change . When you handle customers Your supposed to please them in a way that keeps them coming back and to shop there and make it fun . It should not be treated Like some cold hearted authoritarian military base . When dealing with Customers You treat them Like you would your own family . When dealing with them You have no other choice but to get personally involved with your customers or Clients when they Trust you with their life ad helping them in every way possible to please them and make them come back more . 3 1/2 years ago , America And The Rest Of The World was Changed Forever . The Covid 19 Pandemic Attacked The Heart Of America And The rest of the world Causing Millions Of Innocent Massive Casualties Including Our Own Loved Ones . No Thanks To NIH And The CDC's Incompetence By creating and weaponizing a Virus They had No Clue About Nor How to stop it . Instead they did everything in their Power To Manipulate The US Government To Burying And Covering Up Their Criminal Mistakes So That No One Would Ever Receive True Justice Or Retribution For What The NIH And The CDC Did To Each And Every One Of Us Americans and Internationals Alike By Casing Fear, Prejudice, Terror , Paranoia , And Complete And Utter Distrust To One Another . All Of Our Behaviors Were Shameful , Unconscionable , Inappropriate , Inexcusable , Unacceptable , Disgraceful , Dishonorable , Disrespectful , Unchristian , Unprofessional , And Completely Unjustifiable . Giant Food Has a Long Road to make up for the sins They caused During the Pandemic , No Thanks to their Corporate Leaderships That have no conscience for the actions they make their managers do . Even about the Pay off Scandals that forced people to quit duri

Do NOT go here!! I have never been so disrespected in my life. The woman working in the self service checkout lane "Sharon" was Very Rude and Disrespectful. I was checking out my groceries and just when I was finishing and about to pay this woman comes up out of nowhere shoving a paper mask in my face telling me "put this on". This woman had her hand all over the mask and it wasn't even in a sealed package. I don't know that woman nor do I know where her hands been and I don't know where she got that mask from so I told her, No. I just walked around the store for 30+ minutes shopping, stood in line, rang up all of my groceries and all of a sudden I'm harassed about a mask when I'm about to swipe my card to pay. She then started to be very verbally abusive towards me and followed me outside the store when I left. She told me to, "Eat her a**** I went back into the store to ask for the manager and some young guy said that he was the manager; I told him what she said to me and he just looked at me like I was crazy and he was more concerned with telling me to pull my mask up. At that point I left the store because I'm tired of dealing with uninformed people that make ignorant remarks. If you have your mask on why are you worried about me. I have natural immunity. I can't get it nor can I spread it but I don't feel that I have to discuss my medical history or standing with a stranger in the grocery store. People need to wake up and stop violating people's human rights. A mandate is Not a law and I'm tired of grocery stores and other people trying to play politics and try to enforce policies that clearly infringe on everyone's human and civil rights. No One have the authority to tell me or anyone else to put something over their face to obstruct their breathing. US Code Title 18 Section 245 is a FEDERAL LAW! Not mandate. People need to read the US Constitution and The Bill of Rights. I think most people have forgotten about that. At this point I'm not going back into another Giant grocery store again, they're not the only game in town. I can go to Safeway, Shoppers, Aldi, Price Rite and many others; I don't NEED Giant, Giant NEEDS me and people like me. If they want to play politics, harass their customers and insult them, fine; I'll take my business elsewhere.

The costumer service is not very good anymore. The shelves are never stocked with everything you need. Some of the staff behave like they don't care or what to be there. I guess that my be a little understandable, I'm sure there job is not easy but that is not the fault of the consumer. I've lived in the area for years and I've seen service go down hill. I just wish good service was still important.

Typically I live this Giant pharmacy but today is a NO GO! I made an appointment for my booster shot and when I arrived there were about 10 people ahead of me. When I asked if there was only one person giving the shots and working the window, I was told yes! If you make an appointment, it is my understanding that you will be seen within a reasonable time not waiting over 20 minutes and nothing. I left because I did not anticipate the backup as this is not a doctor's office. Now I'm expected to make another appointment?!?

I'm updating my previous review because on a recent visit to this Giant I was impressed with the renovations and the variety of some stock. We went in mainly for onions and a few other things, but found some fun new to us products. The produce and flower section was clean and neat. The produce looked fresh and there was a nice selection of flowers and some succulents. We found everything on our list and then some. Rich picked out pre-packaged spiced shrimp and some seasoned salmon for his lunch. He said both were very good. In one of the refrigerator cases near the cheese I found a Mediterranean anti-pasta trio with olives and feta. Into the cart it went. I know it's pretty nerdy but I was so excited that Ragu now has boxes with 4 individual servings of pasta sauce. I love Rich's homemade sauce, but also sometimes just want Ragu for a quick lunch. I hate opening a whole jar for one serving. I put the rest in the freezer and usually forget that it's there. Perfect, seafood for Rich, Ragu for me and lunch is taken care of. There are plenty of self-serve stations and they seem to have gotten the self scanners updated and more reliable. This is not a big Giant so certainly not the selection of Olney or even Wheaton, but nice and convenient for us for small shopping trips.

This review isn't for the Giant itself, but a particular employee. The store is fine and I frequent it quite a bit, but the employee, Huma, I dealt with today should not be working in customer service with the behavior and attitude that she had. She was rude and impatient and uncaring. I was waiting in line a while, behind an elderly woman and watched their interaction. The cashier was so rude. While bagging her things, she was slamming things and even carelessly tossed her eggs in the bag and the cart. When the elderly woman was writing her check, the cashier snapped at her and told her to write exact change. Then when asking her to sign something, she handed the paper and let it fall carelessly and expected the elderly woman to bend down and fetch it herself. After the woman paid, Huma started scanning my items and then turned and snapped "Move" to the elderly woman. The whole experience was just awful to watch, and made me so uncomfortable. The cashier also snapped at the other front end attendants while helping me. She was just rude. It's one thing to have a bad day, but don't take it out on your coworkers and especially don't take it out on customers. I highly doubt I'll return to this Giant after seeing how employees treat their customers. How disappointing.

This is a small giant so they don't have all the items you need. Also it's always really crowded and there's no cart return in the parking lot.

This Giant location is busy, but clean and organized! Not my usual go to store but recently I happened to be nearby waiting on an order from Ledo's. Even trying to find a parking spot was a hassle here. I hadn't been to this store in years and it seems like it's been updated since my last visit. I only needed a few items. I found what I needed and I was out of there. The cashier was very friendly and asked if I found everything I was looking for. Being that it was in the afternoon, the store was a bit too crowded for my comfort. When I go to grocery stores these days I go very early in the morning! Won't necessarily make this my go to location, but it's an option if I'm not at my regular spot!

This store deserves a ZERO rating. Unfortunately the lowest score is one. This Giant stores employs incompetent cashiers/checkers. I came in to buy some fruit and a few items that were on sale. The cashier did not know the difference between grapes and plums, applied the wrong code to a number of items, , and it took me additional 20 minutes to resolve the overcharges at the customer service desk. There is no monitor at the check out line so one does not know what the checker charges. You only realize that a mistake was made after you pay and receive the bill. By that time, the checker advises you to go to customer service. This system is idiotic. prone to mistakes and inherently wastes your time should you decide to question a charge. I will never shop here again and will put this review on my community list-serve.

It's been years since I've last visited this Giant location and I'm happy to say that this store has improved quite a lot since my last visit. I noticed that they've remodeled the interior of the store to appear a bit more modern and organized. The staff are doing an amazing job with helping customers go in and come out of the store as quickly as possible and with assistance in looking for any items that are in or out of stock. I gave a 4 star rating instead of 5 because their inventory isn't as well stocked as Safeway. I noticed that a lot of their fruit were out of stock and the snack aisles were somewhat emptied. Given the current circumstances of COVID19 though, I do understand.

This Giant is doing a fantastic job, especially considering we are in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. I've been able to get the groceries I need when I go in, except once when a kind, respectful employee told me to come In tomorrow for eggs, as they were out. Came back the next day, and bought 2 dozen eggs. Also want to remark that, the staff has been kind, courteous, and helpful. The Pharmacy is wonderful, as always, & I know they must be under stress. This Giant on New Hampshire Ave. is a step above others I have visited. Thank you all for doing a super job during these horrible times.

So far, the best one in this small surrounding area. There's one in Rockville, but while the layout is large and big and I liked it, the selection and the variety isn't that large. But this location has a bit of a challenging layout, but it's got a wide variety of facial washes and facial lotions and, various types of drinks in the soda section, and it's produce section is better than the one giant that's in Beltsville. The parking at this giant is pretty good. Plus they have a gas station right across New Hampshire Avenue from the store. So, I don't like the layout. And when I come in oh, it seems a little and opposite of what most grocery stores have you do when you enter. But, a shopper would come here for what's inside the store not it's layout upon entry... and I think that's what's really truly important to remember. I have visited a few Giants in the small surrounding area covering Montgomery County and I really like this one over the one in Rockville and definitely over the one in Rockville and the one in Silver Spring, on Arliss Road,
